synthroid and guarana

I tried trimspa some time back and it worked well with the exercising, but since the thyroid developed, I am afraid to take it. What effects would it have on me taking the trimspa? I am taking 50mgs. of synthroid.

I occasionally drink those monster energy drinks (like once a week) and noticed all of the different ingredients.. (turine, ginseng etc) and A LOT of sugar and was wondering if it is bad to drink while on tx?

m referring to D-phenylalanine for treatment resistant depression - the only thing that ever made me feel good (and normal) was OC, and the theory is that some people who only report feeling "normal" on opiates may have a deficiency in natural endorphins. BUT - I am also taking Kava Kava at night, and although d-phenyl may be helping the depression, Guarana is helping ENORMOUSLY with the fatigue - I actually feel sort of like I did when I first took opiates (before I abused them).

I use SAM-E, 5HTP, liquid b complex, St. John's Wort, Guarana, & Amino's. I get them from Walgreen's most are on sale buy one get one free except SAM-E (exp.). The truth I have no idea if they do anything. You should check with your Dr. because there is problems if you are on anti-depressants. If the Dr. says ok then give it a shot if you have any side effects stop taking them.

) Yesterday I drank half of one of those all-natural juice drinks, then the other half this morning, and realized afterwards that it contains guarana extract (!!!), which I just Googled and found out it has like 3 times the caffeine of coffee!! s actually a theoretical testosterone enhancer mixed with caffeine containing herbs, such as guarana, and other energizers that act on the adrenals. Does guarana work? Yes, better than coffee, but whenever you get energy by taking a stimulant, you crash later, so it's only temporary energy, just like coffee, which is why people drink coffee all day long. It wears off quickly and you crash. But most of the herbs in this, such as damiana, tribulus, etc.

They contain a lot of caffeine, but even if its under the 200mg that your allowed in a day its mainly the other atudd you should worry about. Guarana (which is another form of caffeine) , Taurine, Ginseng, and L-carnatine are common ingredients found in energy drinks and are currently considered unsafe for consumption during pregnancy.

only tannin and caffein colud be recognized as anxyogenics in your product (source is green tea extract). i personally do not belive that they can act anxyogenic in such small amount, specially becouse i have experienced same problem as you with various multi vitamin tabs in the past. NOW FOODS ADAM (containing various herb extracts from wich panax ginseng is most sospicious) tablets made me anxyious but the most interesting part has to come yet ...

Is there anything I should know about how to take my Synthroid, 75 mcg and Zoloft, 150? I would like to know if I should take them separately and if so, how many hours apart?

I am on Armour and I am one of the ones who didn't benefit from Synthroid - you are very lucky your found Synthroid to work best for you - it is the thyroid drug of choice and many doctors will not continue Armour if you need to change to someone else. Go back to what works - and the question is still ot there - Why did you try it if Synthroid was working?

I am 28 yo female, I had my thyroid removed 10 years ago due to non cancerous nodules growing on it. I've been on synthroid since I was 11 yo. Everything was fine until I went off birth control pills. All of a sudden I had a hard time tolerating my 137 mcg dose of synthroid. I switched to armour thyroid, but couldn't tolerate any more than 60 mg. I felt great on just 60 mg, however my TSH shot up from 1 to almost 8.

I definitely would not take the Mega-T and One A Day-Energy together. The Mega-T has a lot of caffeine in it and the Guarana that is in the One A Day-Energy vitamin has about twice the caffeine as a coffee bean. They both have too much caffeine in them and then to double up I'm sure is not good. I would definitely run it by your doctor. I think he'll tell you the same.

For those taking synthroid AND cytomel, Please list the dosages you take of each and at what time throughout the day. Also please list any experiences -good or bad- you've had with this combination. Thank you!

I am strictly taking the cyomtel and was told to stop the Synthroid. Iam so cold and tired, I just want to feel normal, it is affecting my life!! 37 years old with two children and also was diagnosed with endometrosis (not sure If that makes any difference). Please help!!

I had this cough since 1989 when I started on synthroid and can't figure it out. I was wondering if it could be the synthroid. I just typed this site in and I am surprised and now do believe it can be the synthroid. No one can figure out the cough. Did anyone ever figure it out if the cough is from the synthroid???

have been told I have a conversion issue due to a high RT3 level in April (352)- don't convert T4 to T3 optimally, instead it converts to RT3 which cancels out the T3 that's trying to get into my cells. That's why I was wondering if increasing the synthroid was just gonna increase my RT3 and make me feel worse.

Hi...I am on Nexium and synthroid....can I take them together in the morning and hour before breakfast? I am supposed to take them both in AM. Thanks....

And, on top of everything else, I feel like crap. Even though my synthroid levels are normal. My muscles and bones ache, and I am weak and tired all the time.

The only thyroid option is to consider combined T4 (synthroid) and T3 (cytomel) - in this case reducing synthroid to 75 and adding 5mcg of cytomel in the am along w/ the synthroid.

I did email them about the bleeding and they said it could be Synthroid and told me to take a 1/2 dose, which I have, but nothing has changed. I really don't think it's Synthroid as everything I have read says that it takes a while for Synthroid to start "helping" and it takes a few months for it to affect your menstrual cycle, so I really wouldn't suspect it to make any difference less than a week after starting it. Anybody has any ideas? Thanks.
