Common Questions and Answers about Symptoms of yeast infection in nose

yeast-infection

I went in to the doctor last friday 08/17/07 and was diaginosed with a yeast infection. It has be very painful urination, swollen, itchy etc. The doctor said to clear it up to take one dose of diflucan (pill) and to use monistat (cream) The painful urination isn't as bad, (I also started taking cranberry pills) but it's still itchy. I've also been using Vagisil cream. It's been over 7 days and I thought with the pill and everything it should have cleared up within 3-5 days.
It looks a lot like a yeast-like infection in general, but a lot more painful. You need to see an ear, nose, and throat doctor and have a culture done to see what it is. Your boyfriend may have carried some yeast on him that passed into your mouth. Get checked and let us all know what he/she said. Hope you feel better soon!
Do you have any ideas what it could be if not a yeast infection? my symptoms match the yeast problem, afew docs have told me I don't have thrush but my tongue is 'upset' for sure, the hot/numb sensation across my forehead worries me and I have told this to the doc before but no one seems to do anything. could it be thyroid u think? or maybe just mental and I'm doing it to myself?
I feel much better as the rash is pretty much gone and my skin is peeling a little. However, my yeast infection seems to be back. Is this normal for my yeast infection to come back so shortly after treating it in the hospital? Is it possible that I am relapsing. The lamictal should pretty much be out of my system by now but maybe it's still a little active in my body. What should I do?
It has the symptoms of a yeast infection such as redness, itching and it goes away everytime i apply the yeast cream but it comes back once a while. Thanks.
This also doesn't sound like a yeast infection. You don't say how soon your symptoms started after your 12/17 sexual encounter. If it was within 1-2 days, that is strong evidence against any STD, or yeast. No infection can start to cause symptoms that soon.
I try to ejaculate 3-4 times per week, semen volume is now back to normal (i think) Fluconozole seems to do something when I have my flare ups, and things go back to normal for a month or two, though I dont really have any symptoms of a yeast infection. Wondering if its a yeast in my prostate? I've not been on any anti-biotics since May and it's August now. I'm just really frustrated at dealing with this for the better part of the last year. Any ideas or tips on how to reduce prostatitis?
and the contrary, that being symptoms of HIV(thrush and yeast infections) occuring throughtout the life of the virus, because it is common? 2. How soon after exposure do symptoms of HIV, such as thrush (or benign migratory glossitis) appear? 3. How soon after exposure does an HIV related yeast infection occur? Oral Hairy Leukoplakia? 4. After having an extreme and very abnormal dry mouth off an on for some time, I've now developed patches on my tongue.
Hi, Really going out on a limb here, but that seems so strange. Could it possibly be a yeast infection? Wondering if the yeast would be because of the "yeasty" smell of bread.
I found this post while searching because as I have aged, starting in my 20's, sometimes the smell of my skin and nose smell differently in different ways, usually a weird bready-chalky smell. I have found out that that means I have a candida infection, which is not just a yeast infection in the way an internist would define it to us ( which is a parasite infection-usually it's explained as 'microbial' ) Today i am very itchy and smell funny and well, it's a long story.
-I can trigger the smell at any moment I choose(I usually do not do this for the heck of it) just by blowing my nose or taking a deep breath in through my nose. It lingers for hours! I can smell it every single second until I am unconscious in sleep. I don't smell it in the morning upon waking. After brushing my teeth though, I usually have to blow my nose...
My farts are very foul in odor, and I see a connection between the smell of my farts with the intensity of the bad odor in the nose. The less farts and/or better smelling the farts are, the less smelly the air that comes out of my nose is. I am healthy and exercise. Also, when I don’t think about the bad smell, it goes away. I also stay very calm and sometimes the smell goes away.
In late December, I had a yeast infection on my genitals. At the same time/slightly before this I notice dry flaky skin at the corners of my mouth. I treated the penile infection with a 2% (I think) miconazole nitrate cream; Applying for the most part, twice a day. Fast forward several months, I have what looks like sebhorreic dermatitis on my forehead (starting from above/in between my eyebrows), sides of my nose spreading downward around my mouth. and a patch on the back of my neck.
All women have yeasts in their vaginas some of the time, usually without symptoms of a yeast infection. It doesn't mean anything. 3) Zero for all practical purposes. All is well. Have the additional HIV test for reassurance. But don't lose sleep about it in the meantime. However, I suggest you also be tested for common STDs like chlamydia. Now THAT'S a real risk! Really, mellow out. You're fine.
I just got out of the hospital for the same thing... Mine was a serious staph infection in my nose.... This is nothing to play with it is serious you need to go see your doctor right away...
I have a very bad smell in my nose. I have had a sinus cat scan, mri of my brain and an eeg . everything is negative. four months ago I smelled a sweet sicking smell in my apartment. No one else could smell it, For one month I cleaned out everthing in my place. All my flowers and plants. The air conditioning, the fabric softing all fragrance soaps etc.then I realized it was me.So I saw a internist and he sent me to a neurologist and then to a ent doctor and my dentist. everthing negative.
Actually, I have had yeast in my sinuses...I was on alot of IV antibiotics for a long period of time (2 months), was getting alot of sinus pain and had discharge. The ENT scraped my sinuses, and lo and behold, the yeast was there. I have chronic sinus issues because I have CF as well, but the yeast was more than likely flared by the heavy antibiotics I was on to treat my lung infection. Keep us updated...be interesting to hear what the ENT thinks.
i too experienced the same thing recently... was having this sort of like vertigo and was told by my doctor i have fungal infection in my ear. i kept complainning about the expensive antibitics and meds she's prescribbing me lol...she said i could use vinega cider r too for my ear....2 to 3 drops everyday....
Symptoms are not an accurate way to identify HIV, besides 40% of those infected have no symptoms at all, also the initial stage of a HIV infection (ARS) is usually one flu like episode rather than a string of symptoms occurring one after the other. A broken condom is a risk for HIV so you should test at 12 weeks so you can conclusively rule out HIV.
Is this normal for a yeast infection after 10 days of taking ketoconazole and 1 day of fluconazole? I took the spit test, and it showed that I have a high level of yeast in my body. The test consists of spitting in a clear glass of water first thing in the morning. I it turns white and murky, and begins to dissolve towards the bottom of the glass in web-like fashion, then that indicates a probable yeast infection. I tried it and got that exact reaction.
In addition harsh chemicals found in many soaps and detergents can irritate the vagina and contribute to or be the cause of a yeast infection. DO NOT USE DIAL SOAP! of all things, and in fact it is better to use no soap until it has cleared, water will be fine to wash while having an infection. I have had two or three in my life and do not use drugs or anitibiotics to treat it.
One of the more odd symptoms I had was a constant tingle in my left temple. It began around day 6, and peaked around day 11-17 where I felt it constantly!! Very annoying! The only thing that made it feel better was to push in on it... Probably because my body thought I was feeling my finger rather than my nervous system being f****ed up. I can still feel it to this day, though it very rarely occurs and it's much more mild. Next up, and the main reason I'm posting here...
Hi guys, I'm hoping that someone can give me insight into what I've been feeling lately. Since around late may of last year I've been getting these strange & annoying symptoms. In late march I got an ear infection (I think water in the ear), took some antibiotics, and was ok. Then I started getting tension headaches, indigestion, and then the stomach issues started. At first, I kept having to go to the bathroom after eating. Then sometimes I wouldn't need to go at all after eating.
About 70% of those with HSV 1 infection anywhere on their body don't have symptoms they recognize.
My history: excess yeast common, get at least one yeast infection a year and several mild ones cleared up with just topical cream for a day.
I'll first post my symptoms --------------------------------------------- - Tons of Mucus when I wake up and throughout the day - I wake up lie in bed I'm fine, it's not until I stand up I feel like something adjusts in my head (mucus) and there's pressure in the top of my head and middle, not a headache though. Feel a bit dizzy and my ears kind of need popping. 20-30 minutes after standing pressure relieves a bit along with dizziness.
did you ever get a response as my daughter is now suffering the same symptoms.
this last episode of dripping came after a course of antibiotics for a chest/nose infection. the secretions were yellow now clear. allergies?
helpmeplease, check out some of my posts I have had very similar symptoms... I tested positive for a strep infection of my urinary tract.
The smell comes on, often, as a result of a cold or sinus infection. Some, not all, of these smells are caused by an anaerobic bacteria thriving in the upper sinuses, and I was able to remove mine with a Flip-Turn Sinus Flush, and many other people have had success with it as well: http://www.medhelp.
