The thing that makes it worse in I have suffered with varicose veins in my legs which I have had treated but they seem to be coming back very quickly and I’m sure the dilation of my leg veins is accelerating this. The leg vein issue the way you describe is that of varicose veins. Because you are experiencing pain in the calf muscle, you should make an urgent appointment to see your doctor to rule out deep vein thrombosis. He will also be able to confirm whether it is varicose veins that you have and what can be done about them.
Well, I would look up Deep Vein Thrombosis, too, and see if any of the symptoms relate to what is happening to you. This might be varicose veins which is a fairly common condition and usually simply cosmetic rather than of a health concern. Not always though, but often. i always have pain only on the right side of my prostrate and the right leg and lower right side of my back and hip. the varicose veins are on the right side of my penis to and my right leg behind my nee. i am starting to wonder if my whole problem might be some kind of stricture some were in my pelvis on the right side. and im getting very worried about these varicose veins poping up on my leg does this make any sence to anyone reading this.

It may actually still be varicose veins which is common in 1 in 3 adults. For most people, a bulging vein is truly harmless. Unsightly, perhaps. But won't hurt you. But for a rare few, blood clots would be the concern.

Your symptoms may be related to a vascular issue rather than a neurologic one. Specifically, varicose veins can cause a burning or pain in the feet and behind the knees that is felt less during movement. Most often, bulging veins will be visible on the legs. This is more likely if you stand a lot; treatment is with compression stockings, leg elevation, and sometimes there are injection or surgical treatments available.
I got them with my 3rd pregnancy and with my fourth pregnancy they werent that bad and now they hurt and are like bulging out of my skin. I only have them on my right leg but theyre embarrasing. Since you have a heat sensation (inflammation) that comes on and off, I think you could have deep vein thrombosis of the deep veins of the leg or maybe valvular dysfunction of the deep veins of the legs. This can be diagnosed by color Doppler or by angiogram of the leg veins. High blood pressure, kidney dysfunction, diabetes and hypothyroidism should be ruled out.
I would strongly recommend you to see a vascular specialist. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.
