I quit taking it Dec 07 and due to the fact that my ovary is still functioning I could not go on the the next medicine that I would have taken. I just found a lump in my neck which had been diagnosed as Breast Cancer recourrance. I still have one ovary which is still functioning. It was dicsucced that is should have been removed but they never did do it.

That's the thing. Symptoms of early ovarian cancer are SO subtle and are often things we experience for other reasons. Some women have GI difficulty, a bit of middle girth gain, bloating, nausea, loss of appetite. But truthfully, a lot of women have few if any symptoms early on. It's normally diagnosed in later stages because of this and even then symptoms are very subtle and vague. Why are you associating ovarian cancer with your symptoms?
I would insist the doctor do an ultrasound and biopsy. I had a small knot on the lower left side of my neck. Doctors kept telling me not to worry was probably a swollen lymph node. After both of my parents & all my grandparents dying of cancer, I insisted my doctor check it out. You guessed it....thyroid cancer. Ten years I had this knot & doctors kept blowing it off. Had to have my thyroid & 22 lymph nodes, of which 7 were malignate removed.

s your risk of getting it in the neck is very small, let us then reverse it and say that there are very many who have it then means of course the risk that get it in the neck or getting cancer of the throat is very small in relation to how common HPV is, we have found that many people who get cancer of the throat has HPV, it's a big difference to come up with how many people have oral sex who gets cancer, as I said, oral cancers linked to oral sex, oral sex, but can hardly be said to be link
Rafsan, your mother does need to get medical attention as soon as possible. As women, we know the severity of Breast Cancer. There are different types, some can spread rapidly without one even knowing. My mother's doctor just recently found a lump and turns out it is cancerous. I am not trying to scare you, but you do need to be aware of the high risk that women have of getting Breast Cancer. I would seek immediate medical attention..
Some ovarian cancers behave by spreading in the lining of the abdomen or by causing malignant fluid (ascites) For those women, if cancer grows back on the lining of the peritoneum, they will experience bloating, changes in bowel habits, swelling of the abdomen, and even intestinal obstruction.
There are some women whose only sign of recurrence is shortness of breath from new malignant fluid in the chest cavity
Other ovarian cancers behave by only involving lymph nodes.
Is the thyroid working properly did they do blood work to check for hypo or hyperthyroidism etc. Thyroid cancer is more common in women than men since he does have a previous history of cancer I would advise rethinking about having the thryoid removed.Sometimes depending they can remove just one side of the thyroid sparing the other would just depend on the results of the pathology if only one side removed.
BTW, the side of your neck being tender is usually not a symptom of cancer. Pain is usually not a symptom of cancer. Perhaps you are irritating it by rubbing it too much?
I would let your doctor know that the anibiotics didn't seem to help with the size of the node, but I highly doubt it is something to be very concerned about.
The symptoms of lung cancer are chest infection that does not get better, shortness of breath, coughing up blood-stained phlegm (sputum), chest discomfort, loss of appetite and loss of weight.
Do you have a family history of any kind of cancer? Are you sure it is a lymph node swelling? It can be a salivary gland swelling.
Chest pain with shortness of breath and enlarged lymph nodes are found in a variety of conditions like SLE, lupus, tuberculosis and rib fracture.
Your surgery in 12/09 included removal of nodes in the "lateral neck" - all the way to level 5. This increases the risk of recurrent PTC in the lateral neck (would need to look closely with ultrasound including all neck levels (1-6)).
Not sure what is meant by large node in front of shoulder below collar bone (in terms of anatomic location) - that could be axillary (arm-pit) or a lower level 4/5b node. If you can feel it, it can be evaluated with ultrasound and possible FNA.
It seems that when I look up symptoms for esophageal cancer, hiatal hernia, and GERD, that they all have the same symptoms with the exception of bleeding (which is late in the cancer stages). Knowing that I have a hiatal hernia and GERD, how might I get a clue from symptoms if I were developing esophageal cancer without getting a regular endoscope?
Also, this chronic irritation is a predisposing cause for gall bladder cancer. If the stone is placed in the neck of the gall bladder, it can cause retention of bile, with stasis and consequent infection. So, the best option would be to have an elective gall bladder removal.

Only they do it on your throat.
Then someone looks at the video and they make a report that tells how big the thyroid is, how firm it is, if any goiters or nodules are seen, what the nodules are like, if there are any hard or soft spots inside the thyroid.

I think there is a misunderstanding, several studies have proven that HPV is found in sperm, i.e. body fluids. The virus is also found in saliva. The cancer causing types of hpv(16,18,31,45...) are LINKED with oral, head and neck cancer too. You can find some info about this here:

It would not surprise me that it is the causative agent for many oral, head and neck cancers.
