A few days later I began vomiting and having severe nausea, but the UTI symptoms were kind of going away. Hello everyone, I sympathise with you all. I have suffered with cystitis for many years and also recently have been experiencing symptoms after the infection has been treated with antibiotics. The symptoms are a raw burning pain after urination but not during,aching afterwards and feeling very tired and low. I use home test dipsticks and these show whiteblood cells only which the doctor says is not an infection so I presume this is inflammation left from the infection.

In urinary tract infection backache is very common. Bladder infection, pyelonephritis are other causes of lower back ache. You may take a muscle relaxant for pain relief. An ultrasound scan may be helpful in detecting if there is any kidney stone or anatomic /structural problem with the kidneys. Other causes of backache are injury or overuse of muscles, ligaments, and joints. It is suggested to get evaluated by your attending doctor.

1-) ct scan of urinary tract (1.5 months ago): everything was normal, except 5 mm stone in the left kidney.
the radiologist had an impression of a little bladder wall thickening but was not sure if this is due to an incompletely filled bladder (i went to toilet before ct scan) or due to an organic reason. He was suggesting cystoscopy to be done.

Hi everyone, I am currently suffering from some kidney infection symptoms. I recently had a UTI and was put on two different antibiotics one of them being ciprofloxacin. I have still been experiencing some symptoms of the UTI (they aren't as bad as before) such as a slight burning while I pee and an urge to urinate.
On Friday I was having sharp intermittent aching pain in my right back where my kidney was located. My back in that area was tender to the touch. That evening I went to an urgent care facility and gave a urine sample. The doctor said the sample was too diluted and asked me to bring another sample in the next morning. Saturday morning (at home) I urinated into a cup that was given to me and then three hours later took the sample to the facility.
I was just on a 14 day course of Amoxicillin 750mg a day, for a sinus infection and was fine as far as any urine problems ... This morning i wake with the symptoms of a UTI and i have only been off the antibiotic for ONE day ... Is this a totally separate problem, and do i have to go back on the antibiotic? Please help!
If you have a urinary problem, you must drink plenty of water. Whether you have a kidney infection or not, it is recommended that 2-3 litres of water a day is consumed and more if you sweat or workout.
If you find that the urine is burning or stinging when you pee, you can drink a glassful of water with 1 teaspoonful of Bicarbonate of Soda. This will help to neutralise the acidity in the urine that is causing the discomfort.

The only thing i can think of is a kidney infection, though her pain her kidney areas is not as severe as what it maybe should be. she is also getting some headaches as well but has no fever. Can anyone help shed some light on this situation? she also just got her period so it looks like it has nothing to do w/ pregnancy or anything.
Last week I was prescribed Bactrim DS for what my doctor said was a UTI but by symptoms seem way more like Kidney infection. It worked for the first 3 days, symptoms were gone within an hour of taking my first pill but then Friday I missed a dose (two pills) and then I started to have symptoms again, I took the pills and they did nothing.. is it possible that missing those two pills could have made the bacteria resistant to antibiotics?

All of my stones were calcium so I am thinking that maybe the prenatal vitamin is stirring something up. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have been diagnosed with a UTI after an episode of heavy blood in urine. After 10 days of an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) I felt better but the bleeding started again. Am now back on 10 more days of same antibiotic but this time am having lower pelvic pain amd discomfort. Could this be something other than a UTI? Urine culture showed a bacterial infection. Is it common for this to take 1 or 2 courses of antibiotics to clear up?
Hi Ladies.... OK I've had 3 uti's so far since being pregnant. I'm currently 26wks5dys. My last appt last week Dr prescribed me antibiotics again even without confirming I have uti again. My symptoms are always strong order in urine..mainly 1st morning urine, pain in side and back pain. Went in to ER 2 days ago and they said urine came back negative for uti. Forgot to mention my urine looks like raspberry tea.
She does not have any vaginal symptoms or anything like that. The only thing I can think of is an infection of some sort.... UTI or maybe kidney stones? Maybe a stone is stuck there and is too large to simply **** out? I don't know. I've read other posts and to the best of my knowledge I don't have any STDs or Herpes or anything like that or at least I hope so. I have yet to visit a doctor, I was planning to wait another few days so I've waited at least a week.
