Sometimes ultrasounds do not reveal the true issue - they are not detailed enough. Personally, I experienced appendicitis much like you are experiencing. The "twist" was I had a cyst in my intestine as well. It took surgery to locate the problem(s). No test - and I had them all - revealed the truth. Go to the hospital. They are probably thinking you are drug-seeking.
Avatar m tn For a few years, I have been experiencing GERD, abdomen swelling, diarreah, and painful cramps in my lower abdomen, symptoms which become more present after drinking. This is incredible pain, ussually minutes before I will go to the bathroom, and have diarreah.
Avatar m tn m a 19 year male college student, and I have had this problem for several years. At random moments, usually pretty rarely, I will get a sudden, sharp pain in the lower right area of my abdomen. It will cause me to panic for the brief second that it lasts (i'll clutch it etc..), because it feels really severe. Fast forward to another month or so. The pain moved upwards, to my upper abdomen, and the doctors couldn't help me at all.

Avatar n tn Hello, Going by your symptoms five possibilities are coming to my mind.Firstly,it can be pelvic inflammatory disease which can be caused by an infection of the pelvic organs. As you are a female, so this possibility is high. It can also be due to fibroid uterus or torsion of ovarian cysts(already ruled out in your case). Ultrasound abdomen and cervical swabs are needed to rule them out. Secondly, possibility of irritable bowel syndrome is also there.
Avatar f tn The symptoms you have described are classic of appendicitis. It begins in the upper area of the abdomen and kind of moves around until it localizes in the lower right abdomen. The fever and dizziness is also indicative of appendicitis. If her abdomen stops hurting all of a sudden, RUSH her to the ER because that is a sign that the inflamed appendix has burst. Please let us know how she is!
