Your neuro is probably wanting to wait to see if your symptoms resolve on their own before sending you for an MRI.
Why is my systolic blood pressure still high when I am taking Altace. My diastolic blood pressure is normal when I take Altace. Why the difference. Could I have angina since I have had pain in my chest around the heart area and in the middle of the chest. Also, could I have arterialschlorsis from the high systolic blood pressure?

Never had a heart attack. The Cardio put me on Metoprolol ( 50mg); Altace 2.5 mg and baby aspirin in addition to Lipitor 20mg. Sep. 2009 he took me off the Metoprolol and increased the Altace to 10 mg.
My Blood potassium level at the time was perfectly normal at 3.6; after the spike in the ace-inhibitor my potassium level has risen in two months to 5.6, which I believe is an unsafe level. My family doctor has now asked me to go back to the 2.5 mg dosage and get re-tested after two weeks.

I take Toprol XL 200 mgs. and Altace 20mgs. and have for many years however recently I have experienced an increase in blood pressure. I have lost some weight and continue to diet as well as exercise. My doctor has tried two calcium channel blockers with the results that I become very ill and unable to continue these medications. Any suggestions?
How much Tylenol were you taking? Were you abusing it?
Can you check her medicine bottle to see if any are missing? If it's empty and should'nt be, then you have to call an ambulance. They can check her out right at your home.
If you consume and ungodly amount of them regularly you could have worse withdrawals and have flu like symptoms. Slowly weaning yourself off them over a week or cold turkey is up to you. It's great that you recognize you have a bit of an issue. It's nothing to feel bad about. There are also many free programs depending on where you live. Maybe speaking speaking to an addiction counselor would be best for you.
My HR is still up most of the time even when just laying in the bed. I haveo no history of high blood pressure....if anything its low. I have been in the ER with constant tachycardia . The symptoms you have mentioned are suggesting excess of Vitamin D or calcium.The cut off level for toxicity of vitamin D level in blood differs according to different studies.The US endocrine society says that it is >150 ng/ml while Institute of medicine say it is >50 ng/ml.
In the presence of symptoms I consider this value of 94 as toxic level.
I would suggest you to get serum calcium,phosphorus and urinary calcium done.

Just taking an amount over the prescribed dose is NOT the definition of an overdose.
What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?
If you have a true diagnosis of HCM and are having symptoms, you should seek out a cardiologist who specializes in this for further work-up. While beta blockers are indicated in HCM, this may not adequately control your symptoms (as it seems) and there are other therapeutic options including other medications in addition to surgical treatments. Regardless, you should have a complete and thorough work-up which might include a stress test (echocardiogram) and/or MRI.
Overdose Of Paracetamol often shows NO SYMPTOMS within the first 24 hours after the overdose. In some cases although there may be mild nausea and vomiting. If the overdose is large then liver function may start deteriorating leading to either of these; jaundice, confusion, and loss of consciousness. Death due to overdose of Paracetamol is rare but when it occurs it is in majority of cases due to liver failure.
If you google kadian it will give you drug information and included in that info is what to do in the event of an overdose and what things to look for to determine if it is indeed an overdose. Don't mess around here - and call 911 if he doesn't look right. Now is not the time to second guess the situation.

I am not suicidal. I am being prescribed Lithium daily. I like to know as much as I can about my meds. I know the lethal dose of lithium is about 5gs or 5000mgs which is about 5 times what I am prescribed. I also have looked up the symptoms of lithium toxicity (not fun). But I can't seem to fine anywhere how long after a lethal amount or a small overdose (such as 1 accidental extra dose) on top of toxicity symptoms would start to show or when death would take place.
