Avatar f tn s puppy was hit and killed Christmas night in front of her and she held this puppy while it passed on. Needless to say, she is so stricken with grief. I have talked and talked to her and I am concerned for her. I know that during these times we get stressed to use and she needs everyone's suport and love on this forum as she is best known here, not the social side. I am sure many can relate to this heartache however due to nature of the death, she is blaming herself.
Avatar f tn I was a caregiver for my 75 year old dad, and was there through the whole process of his death. Over the course of months I saw him deterierate terribly... stopped eating... couldn't barely get from his recliner to the bathroom to bed on his own. I was there when he couldn't eat anymore, he had a stroke, seemed in general like he was suffering even though hospice helped his pain and fear with medication.... He died a week and 4 days ago, and I'm still in complete disbelief.

Avatar f tn I'm sure that many of us on this site that have been addicted to pills have had friends that are addicts that have not been able to stop and have paid the utlimate price. i'm 68 days clean from methadone and a 15 year opiate addiction. In the past 60 days i have buried 2 of my friends. 1689024 tn?1308326866 Oh, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your brother. For all of your losses. This does not sound fair at all that you've lost so many. I lost my mother 16 years ago and it forever changed me. I miss her terribly each and every day . . . even 16 years later. With all that has happened, it is expected that you are going to have some low times. Grief is hard and can last without a time limit to it. It is hard to tell what is grief and what is depression.
Avatar m tn I can't help with the diagnosis, but I do sympathize. The young age of 52 adds to the sadness. Being the one to discover the dead person just adds to the pain. While it was not my brother, I discovered a neighbor who had died in his front yard from a heart attack. I believe that added to my sadness from loosing a good friend. This forum may have some experience that directly relates. I don't know that the vicarious veins is related, but I doubt it. My sympathy.
10363722 tn?1409603189 No sympathy from me! You goofed up! I read these posts very carefully. Words you choose really tell it all. You are not even fully owning up to what you did. You said you "borrowed" a narc. And, I don't believe you were in enough pain anyway. You made it to your sister's house just fine. And you "forgot" to bring a pain pill? I think you went to your sister's, and wanted to try her Percocet! I call BS. As far as what your doctor will do? Who knows.

Avatar m tn Our beloved dog, Enzo, passed away a few days ago. If we had thought about it we would have requested an autopsy. However we were so grief stricken we didn't think about it. Now 4 days on it is killing us not knowing what happened? Any insight would be more than appreciated. He was 11 - soon to be 12 on 31 Dec 2011. He was a male cocker spaniel in seemingly very good health. The night before he vomited quite a bit and was very lethargic in the morning so we took him to the vet.
