symbicort mucus

t know what controller med you use, but after I use Symbicort at night, for some reason it makes me cough mucus up. So about 15-20 min after using it, I take a hot shower and cough it up and I feel much better. The mucus doesn't cause me breathing problems, either, but I can feel it.

I take supplements to reduce inflammation and thin mucus. I have moderate COPD and am doing fairly well, but would benefit from a longer-lasting medication. Any suggestions? This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/924096'>Advair Skip a Day</a>.

i have asthma,copd so i quit smoking.i got what was dianosed by my doctor as trush so he took me off of advair and kept me on the predisone and gave me a precription for yeast infectioon.i finished the precription.and low and behold the white cotton like mucus is back in fhe timeull force. i'm really sick of being sick all the time my heart rate is 104 my age is 68. i might add i'm sweaty all time.

Advair HFA, alvesco and any HFA inhalers are lactose free. Puli org, symbicort, any disk inhalers or rotatable ones a Have lactose in them. I did have to fight to get my doctor to believe me and switch my inhaler but proved it once I was off for a few months - improved and then did spirometry before and after taking symbicort ... Guess what? My peak flow DROPPED, then they believed me :) You can be allergic to ventolin itself but there are other medication you can try.

I have this tightness in my chest i kno its mucus but i dont have a cough or cold it hurts when i try to take a deep breath ive never had chest congestion before im not coughing up blood or anything like that. ive been using my asthma pump because when i was younger i had trouble with asthma it helps clearing my airways so i can breath easier but it comes back after awhile. I coughed all day long until I vomited. Mainly when I cough I produce large amounts of mucus. I went to another doctor after my previous doctor relocated. The new doctor agreed that I had asthma and prescribed Singular and Symbicort. Again, I saw no results but my doctor insisted that I stayed with the treatment. After I year, I moved to Japan and was still using Symbicort and Singular with no affect on my cough. I started seeing a new doctor who told me that I had walking pneumonia.

I have had breathing tests that shows my lung capacity is 65%. I just started to take Symbicort. Could the Symbicort be raising my blood pressure, or is it all in my head? When I take my BP a couple of hours after taking Symbicort its high. My Meds are: Crestor 40mg Amlodine 5mg Synthroid .250mcg Lisinopril 40mg twice a day Zolpidem 10mg Metoprolol 50mg one & 1/2 pills twice a day Symbicort 80/4.

(78 years old) I have, in the last couple of months developed a lung condition that is very difficult for me. My lungs have become a thick, clear mucus factory. It keeps me awake at night and nothing seems to help. I am on a nebulizer 3 time daily. I have tried a couple of oral medications without success. I would appreciate any thoughts on the subject.

Getting pain in my back lower ribs, Been on Pred 8 for 4 days, 6 for 3 days - 4 for 3 days and finishing up with 2 for 3 days 5mg, I am aslo on ventolin, Sprivia, and symbicort... any suggestions or advice ? I also just finished 6 Moxifloxacin HCL 400 mg, Nothing seems to be doing the job.

I have allergies and just figured out that I have postnasal drip, ear drainage issues, and stomach issues due to the mucus.. I wonder will Singular work with this ? does taking advair make mucus that you cough up and mucus from from your nose turn white?

It is a very dry cough and hardly produces any mucus. Sometimes I can get a little bit of mucus uo when I clear my throat - I notice I am constantly trying to clear my throat. My doctor said that my lungs are clear but I constantly get the feeling that something is stuck in my chest. I am a 27 year old female and suffer from allergies as well. Can you PLEASE recommend what I can take to cough up this mucus???

I am a diabetic on oral meds. Some months ago I started taking Symbicort inhaler for asthma. Since then my blood sugar is soaring. What can I do.

Knowing there are options and what they are is very helpful. Personally, I do okay on Advair, terrible on Symbicort, but very well on Dulera. And today when I blew my nose,(I have to blow a little hard cause the mucus is very thick and gets stuck most of the time) the mucus was thick, almost solid with blood in it. What is usually the cause for this? Is it something to be alarmed about?

m allowed to take up to 8/day of symbicort 200 on a regular basis. That is the beauty of this one. Unfortunately Symbicort doesn't come in a stronger dose,as I was informed by my specialist. The only other one that is stronger is Advair 500...but you can't up the number of puffs on that one like you can with Symbicort, so it too is self limiting. I'm working on this issue yet with my specialist. I will let you know what solution she comes up with...

I have been taking symbicort for about 8 months and in that time i notice that my weight has gone up by around 1 stone (14llbs), i have never been overweight and have always eaten healthily and taken exercise. No matther how many times i go to the gym or how much salad i eat it wont go away. None of my clothes fit me and i have gone up a bra size or two.

My significant other is taking Symbicort 160/4.5. I have been told that the steroid in symbicort can be transmitted into my system through any exchange of "bodily fluids" and possibly have a bad reaction with my HBP meds...is this true? thankyou!

hi i have severe gerd and asthma getting worse today doctor put me onzantac prilosec ventalin and symbicort the divorcesymbicort felt like it froze my lungs when inhaled since then breathing got worse and middle of back hurts is this other normal

omg. thanks for mentioning symbicort. i started symbicort a while ago, and my throat clearing has gotten worse. my doctor has put me on nexium to dry up things, but i stopped taking it - just felt i didnt need it at the time. i may need to go back on the nexium or find out if the omnezaprole will work too.

will be starting on champix and will be done with ciggarretes in 2 weeks but i was told if i take ventalin and smoke pot it could kill me and i currently take symbicort and ventalin (salbutamal sulphate) but i asked a nurse about if i was to smoke sum pot one day if i didnt take the ventalin all day would i be ok and she said yes but i would like a professionals information so my question is it ok for me to take symbicort and smoke on occasion?

I have recently been prescribed symbicort, but for some reason I read that corticosteroids are more widely used? Does anyone know whether long term acting beta agonists or cortisteroids are safer long term? What is safer on the heart? Also does xanax counter effect the high blood pressure etc. associated with asthma medicines?

Hi, Just to pass on my experience -- I'm a former off-and-on smoker who had poorly controlled asthma (was using my Albuterol quite a bit) when I developed an acute bronchitis that lasted about three months. This started mid-October 2008. They tried several treatments -- nebulizers, oral prednisone, several rounds of antibiotics, until my condition started to stabilize (I was down to a pulmonary function of 71%, and then made it back up to 92%, which is where I've remained).
