Avatar f tn If you think you might have cancer, read a book called World Without Cancer, It's about Vitamin B17. If you decide to take B17, take it with Zinc Citrate 30mg, and I would buy the B17 from **********.***, not Amazon. The ones from Amazon have an enteric coating on them and I question if they are real.
Avatar m tn I have not heard of lung problems as a part of MS. I have asthma and have to see a pulmanologist. I take symbicort and albuterol. Alex.
Avatar f tn I have not heard of this before, but wonder...are you taking any medicines now? Some lung medications have been known to cause adverse effects such as what you are experiencing! Symbicort is one of them!

Avatar f tn So...in short, I've had asthma since I was 5. I am now 27 so pretty much my whole life. I have moderately severe stress-induced asthma so flare ups are rare but my lung capacity isn't the greatest. My first pregnancy, I was fine until my 3rd trimester because of my daughter taking up my lung space more or less. This pregnancy, my asthma has flared up for weeks and has gone from moderately severe to severe.

757137 tn?1347196453 Oh, what sort of side effects do you get from asthma inhalers? Personally I find that they don't bother me at all. I'm currently using Symbicort 400ug x 4puffs/day along with oxeze 12ug x 3puffs/day (long acting bronchodilator). They work well in controlling my asthma symptoms. The only symptom that doesn't go away is a chronic cough due to excess lung mucous. The long lasting bronchodilator should only be used together with a steroid inhaler.
Avatar n tn Given that it is now nearly 4 months since the bout of pneumonia, you deserve further diagnostic evaluation by a lung specialist. If the signs are truly localized to one lung, the one that had the pneumonia and especially if a current x-ray fails to demonstrate complete resolution, the lung specialist will probably suggest that he/she perform bronchoscopy and/or a CT scan of the lungs to determine the reason for this lingering problem.

Avatar f tn Could this be thyroid cancer that metastisized to lung or lung cancer that met to the thyroid or just 2 primary cancers. Dr.s are a little stumped. I was seen at Uof Penn They said lung surgery first then deal with thyroid.
Avatar m tn I have been on and off a surplus of antibiotics and prednisone. I have shortness of breath and pain in the lung/ back area. I am on spiriva, symbicort, ventolin, levalbuteral, and 800 ibuprofen. This has been going on for 5 months. X- ray was clear two months ago. All blood labs and cultures clear. My doctors do not know what to do for me? I'm constantly tired and in pain and short of breath. I'm 25, and should not be this sick!
Avatar f tn It has got to be fluid that for whatever reason is not being dispersed back around the body (inactivity, lung and heart problems usually being responsible) Have you any other health problems diagnosed or undiagnosed? What fluid tablets have you had prescribed? I'm having similar problems but Dr's don't seem too concerned as they never see them at the end of the evening when my ankles are 3 inches bigger than they are at the start of the day.
Avatar f tn Can they slow down the lung deterioration process? Should I really go on inhaling for ever?... in other words, if these medicines are only - or mostly - intended to make me feel better (which they don't), can I stop taking them? I perceive them as a nuisance and the result of a pharmaceutically oriented approach.

Avatar n tn I wish I had good news about you donating your Aunt one of your lungs. My Mother received a single lung transplant in 2007. A lung cannot be taken from a live donor though. The lung has to be harvested from a very recently deceased donor. And I so hate telling you this, but getting approved for a lung transplant is lengthy and much is involved. They put my Mother through many many tests. She had a lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Which is a terminal lung disease.
Avatar m tn In the early 20th century, lung cancer was much less common than some other types of cancer. But this changed once manufactured cigarettes became readily available and more people began smoking. About 87% of lung cancer deaths are thought to result from smoking. The risk for lung cancer among smokers is many times higher than among non-smokers. The longer you smoke and the more packs a day you smoke, the greater your risk.

Avatar n tn If the paralysis is on the left, the infiltrative lesion described on the left measuring 11-12 mm may have something to do with it, but it seems too small to be causing compression. Generally lung cancer with vocal paralysis are pretty large, a good number would have compression of the trachea/windpipe. The distribution of the lymph nodes also makes Lung cancer as a primary disease a bit unlikely, if we are to think about Cancer, perhaps lymphoma may be more suspect.
