The only new med that I have been taking in the past 2 weeks is Ventolin HFA (Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Aerosol) for my coughing after coming down with flue. I have also been eating lots of broccoli sprouts and home made fresh ginger tea mixed with little honey.

she first put me on Symbicort and a decreasing prednisone RX. By the end of the week, the Symbicort did allow me to take the inhalation deeper but only seemed to help about 4-5 hours before the SOB returned, and the prednisone didn't seem to be making a difference. I spoke with her Friday late afternoon. She changed me to Spiriva as she said it lasts longer, told me to keep at the prednisone 40 mg for 2-3 more days before decreasing to 30 mg.
Two that would not affect your heart rate would be an inhaled steroid, such as Flovent® HFA Inhalation Aerosol (fluticasone propionate) or another medicine taken by mouth Singulair® (montelukast sodium). You should ask your doctor about these.

3 weeks later it had subsided. In March 2015 I had a training fire with residual smoke inhalation then exposure to my cousin's cat for three days. Seemed like a perfect storm. I had shortness of breath thereafter. He saw small granulomas and a few tiny nodules after the ct scan. He then sent me for a bronchoscopy. He saw no active sarcoidosis and saw no evidence of scarring on my lungs. This is the fourth doctor I have been to with Duke. He is an expert on workplace exposures.
Improvement with lying down suggests that a cause of your cough might be postnasal drip. He prescribed a large round of anitboitics. Little has changed.
I have had breathing tests that shows my lung capacity is 65%. I just started to take Symbicort. Could the Symbicort be raising my blood pressure, or is it all in my head? When I take my BP a couple of hours after taking Symbicort its high.
My Meds are:
Crestor 40mg
Amlodine 5mg
Synthroid .250mcg
Lisinopril 40mg twice a day
Zolpidem 10mg
Metoprolol 50mg one & 1/2 pills twice a day
Symbicort 80/4.
I have asthma that doesn't respond to symbicort- does this test tell you if you have asthma?
I am a diabetic on oral meds. Some months ago I started taking Symbicort inhaler for asthma. Since then my blood sugar is soaring.

I have been suffering from Pollen Allergy from almost 6 years. This started when I started to live in Islamabad. Here pollen allergy counts in spring are at very high from Paper Mulberry. Due to this I have a running nose and asthametic symptoms featuring suffocation and watered eyes. All this is reduced when i stay indoor.
Last night I ate no food after 5pm that I could react to and around 9 pm I used the blue puffer (Ventolin Salbutamol Sulpate Inhalation Aerosol) and and what was left of my red puffer (Fovent flutisacone propionate - corticosteroid) - AND I immediately broke out in hives and itching everywhere including on my tongue and I had trouble swollowing. I took an anti-histamine and the hives lasted about 90 minutes.
