symbicort and muscle cramps

I am already using 800mcg of pulmicort a day and even at that level it has been giving me muscle cramps and messing up my period, so I don't want to increase it. Any comments? Or things I could try?

The constant coughing could cause muscle strain and back pain. Sometimes the pleura, the lining of the chest cavity and lungs can get inflamed causing pain with coughing. The pain can also be due to orthopedic related causes like cervical rib, cervical spondylosis or disc prolapse. So, don't worry and discuss these options with your doctor. In the meantime continue with your inhalers and take OTC naproxen for relief from pain. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I've been on symbicort/proventil and singulair for months and I'm still having trouble breathing, chest tightness, exhaustion- I went through 2 courses of prednisone and methylprinosolone a few months ago

If you do not get that up, you could start having leg cramps. Advair and Symbicort can cause potassium and calcium levels to drop causing cramps. Take care and feel better.

ve never had a reason to monitor my blood pressure, but I looked up the side-effects of Symbicort and it says changes in blood pressure can occur. There was also a warning to use caution in patients who have severe high blood pressure. As far as I can tell, there are no known interactions between Symbicort and blood pressure medicines. If you're concerned about how high your blood pressure gets after taking Symbicort, I'd talk to your doctor.

will be starting on champix and will be done with ciggarretes in 2 weeks but i was told if i take ventalin and smoke pot it could kill me and i currently take symbicort and ventalin (salbutamal sulphate) but i asked a nurse about if i was to smoke sum pot one day if i didnt take the ventalin all day would i be ok and she said yes but i would like a professionals information so my question is it ok for me to take symbicort and smoke on occasion?

I went to my Pulmonary doctor yesterday and was given more prednisone and symbicort. I have chest pain when coughing, bending and last night I was awakened by chest pain (I was sleeping on my back). I have a Loop recorder in my chest so I sent communication through to my cardiologist thinking it could be heart related. I have been taking symbicort for about 8 months and in that time i notice that my weight has gone up by around 1 stone (14llbs), i have never been overweight and have always eaten healthily and taken exercise. No matther how many times i go to the gym or how much salad i eat it wont go away. None of my clothes fit me and i have gone up a bra size or two.

I started a new Job in October and ever since then I have had difficulty breathing and some days I lose my voice almost totally. I'm afraid I have no idea on this one. I'm still in the process of working things out with the specialist. She's left me on Symbicort for now and is looking into testing me for GERD. If it's that simple, I will be very happy. Her other alternative was to try 2 things. (1) I am to use the pulmicort 400 ug inhaler in conjunction with the oxeeze inhaler. Being improperly treated by a gastro with lasix alone for edema and ascites and can cause muscle cramping. All loop diuretics including Lasix, cause low potassium levels (hypokalemia). I'm am a very fit 20 year old male. I work out a lot I do I lot of running and I eat fairly healthy. However I play football/ soccer (I'm from England) and a game of football is 90 minutes long and I can never last the full 90 minutes because I get server muscle cramps around 70 minutes. I've had blood test and all is healthy. I get very frustrated because people I play with, drink, smoke and do drugs and don't get anything like I do. I have had it since I was 15.

Hello, Are you experiencing a lot of pain from the BFS? I have been on Neurontin before for nerve damage in my spine and have heard it can cause muscle cramps in some people. I have also heard, and I don't usually sway people in this direction on MedHelp, but Opiates, such as Oxycontin, are very helpful for your condition. I am assuming you are speaking of Benign fasciculation syndrome? Correct?

ve been able to sleep really well up until a few days ago. My right hip cramps so bad at night and also my calf muscles when I squat. Any advice?

Ellen, Muscle cramps are a common complication of cirrhosis. About half of all persons with cirrhosis experience muscle cramps. Muscle cramps are related to the duration of cirrhosis and the severity of liver damage.The exact reason for leg cramps is unknown. More study must be done in this area before we have a real solution for at least most sufferers. It's cause is probably multiple factors. So there is no one effective treatment for cramps.

Hi ladies, is anyone suffering from leg/foot cramps. I'm 25 weeks pregnant and they've started coming on badly in the evenings and during the night in the last few weeks. I'm trying to drink lots of water and have a topical magnesium cream but nothing helps. So painful and causing really disturbed sleep. Any ideas?

I opted for the RAI (3 months ago) and I take cozaar (6 months now) and in these last 3 weeks I am suffering from muscle fatigue, muscle cramps if I stretch them too quickly or exercise them. Could the cozaar be causing the problem or is the disease the problem or both?

Aside from everything else, this medication can have serious side effects. Steroids caused me a lot of physical problems (eyes, adrenals, and more) and I had to stop taking them. And in my case it was prescribed for COPD a medication commonly used for that condition. But for high blood pressure?

My Vit D is 45 and I use to get muscle cramps, I guess is what you would call them, always at night and it just seemed I couldn't get comfortable and I was always moving my legs thinking I needed to stetch them or something. It seems since I started Armour I don't get them as much. I can only think of one time since I started the new med about a month ago! I have a Dr. that said it likes Vit. D to be around 60?

omg. thanks for mentioning symbicort. i started symbicort a while ago, and my throat clearing has gotten worse. my doctor has put me on nexium to dry up things, but i stopped taking it - just felt i didnt need it at the time. i may need to go back on the nexium or find out if the omnezaprole will work too.
