ve never had a reason to monitor my blood pressure, but I looked up the side-effects of Symbicort and it says changes in blood pressure can occur. There was also a warning to use caution in patients who have severe high blood pressure. As far as I can tell, there are no known interactions between Symbicort and blood pressure medicines. If you're concerned about how high your blood pressure gets after taking Symbicort, I'd talk to your doctor.
will be starting on champix and will be done with ciggarretes in 2 weeks but i was told if i take ventalin and smoke pot it could kill me and i currently take symbicort and ventalin (salbutamal sulphate) but i asked a nurse about if i was to smoke sum pot one day if i didnt take the ventalin all day would i be ok and she said yes but i would like a professionals information so my question is it ok for me to take symbicort and smoke on occasion?
Yes, the nodules could contribute to hoarseness. Hoarseness is a very common symptom of hypothyroidism.
Have you been tested for hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis? Are you currently on any thyroid replacement hormones?
If you have current thyroid labs (should have at least TSH, Free T3 and Free T4), please post the results, with reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and must be posted with results.
I have been taking symbicort for about 8 months and in that time i notice that my weight has gone up by around 1 stone (14llbs), i have never been overweight and have always eaten healthily and taken exercise. No matther how many times i go to the gym or how much salad i eat it wont go away. None of my clothes fit me and i have gone up a bra size or two.
I started a new Job in October and ever since then I have had difficulty breathing and some days I lose my voice almost totally. I have been in and out of the Dr and now using Symbicort and taking prednisone. It is wierd this only happens during the week while I am at work. Weekends seen to be fine after a little time away. Is this Asthma or am I alergice to my workplace? Should I test the air quality?

were just signs of aging. I was sent to a pulmonologist for the coughing and hoarseness, and also to an allergist. Finally the endo deigned to palpate my throat and said "Oh, your thyroid IS a little enlarged. We'll just watch it for a year." After a year my symptoms had all increased and the hoarseness was much worse. An ultrasound showed multiple nodules about the size of yours on both lobes.
I had a bad cold and then got laryngitis. That lasted 3 weeks and then the 4th week my voice came back but still hoarse. I have pain on my left side of my neck and tenderness on that side when I swallow. Dr checked me out and said throat is not red and gave me pills for acid reflux. About three weeks ago I began becoming hoarse almost constantly and my sputum seems to have changed. I appears white or clear or sometimes pink and frothy. I have also recently had some sputum tinged yellowish. I am basically not feeling good at all and I have sudden extreme fatigue that feels as if I don't lie down I will get sick. Another change is that I have began to cough almost uncontrollably when I lie down.

She said I was quite a bit lower than expected, especially for the amount of exercising I do. She gave me albuteral and symbicort (plus some hayfever meds) and asked me to use the peak flow meter. I generally have been at about 450 on the flow meter and for my size and weght (6' tall and 160 lbs) it says I should be about 650. I don't seem to see any real improvement when I use Albuteral. The Symbicort keeps me awake at night when I take the 2x spray/2x a day.
s not on any meds except for symbicort turbuhaler which she uses twice daily day and night. She woke up in the middle of last night and vomitted. She felt her heart was throbbing hard. Her BP was quite low 96 54 while her pulse was 86. Her usual pulse is usually around 60. Her temperature was normal. Does anyone has the answer to this problem? even an idea of what's happening would be helpful. Thank you..
In the past 16 days I have begun using Spiriva in addition to the 2 doses of Symbicort I was using daily. Although I get good (better) results from the combination than Symbicort alone, since starting the Spiriva, I am experiencing very dry mouth, and nasal passages to the extent that I occasionally experience light bleeding when I blow my nose.
