I have just come off symbicort after experience fatigue and aching joints (been on it for 10yrs ish) caused by bp meds interacting.My gp has referred me to a rhemtologist! Thinking that I had fibromalgia! Since changing to pulimcort my bp back to normal and no symptoms of fatigue etc! Check out drugs.

so you can get AF from symbicort too? I have asthma and my cortisol is at 2.

In the past 16 days I have begun using Spiriva in addition to the 2 doses of Symbicort I was using daily. Although I get good (better) results from the combination than Symbicort alone, since starting the Spiriva, I am experiencing very dry mouth, and nasal passages to the extent that I occasionally experience light bleeding when I blow my nose.

She initially did chemo and steroids to get everything under control, and while she is usually fine, she does deal with a lot of fatigue. I've been having breathing problems and chronic fatigue with asthma even after taking Symbicort and singulair regularly. I was prescribed 30mg prednisone for a week. is this high dose ok?

will be starting on champix and will be done with ciggarretes in 2 weeks but i was told if i take ventalin and smoke pot it could kill me and i currently take symbicort and ventalin (salbutamal sulphate) but i asked a nurse about if i was to smoke sum pot one day if i didnt take the ventalin all day would i be ok and she said yes but i would like a professionals information so my question is it ok for me to take symbicort and smoke on occasion?

Not sure if it was from the Advair I took another dose and the pain got worse. I contacted my doctor and he changed me to Symbicort. I had no problem for 3 days, but after today's dose the back pain is back. Is this typical or am I doing something wrong when inhaling. I believe I'm following the instructions, including rinsing my mouth after using. Is there a pill I can take instead?

a year later I returned to the US and started to have asthma, sleep apnea, and chronic fatigue for over a year. nothing helps my fatigue, exercise, cpap, symbicort, metformin for my high blood sugar. I have low cortisol too about 4.0 AM. I took pin-x twice and magnesium citrate and my diarrhea stopped and I have more normal harder stools.

I also take licorice root which is supposed to be a natural steroid (the deglyccrized form is better since you won't get high blood sugar or diabetes in the longterm)- you can get this in teas or tablets like from the vitamin shoppe.

I started a new Job in October and ever since then I have had difficulty breathing and some days I lose my voice almost totally. I have been in and out of the Dr and now using Symbicort and taking prednisone. It is wierd this only happens during the week while I am at work. Weekends seen to be fine after a little time away. I'm afraid I have no idea on this one. I'm still in the process of working things out with the specialist. She's left me on Symbicort for now and is looking into testing me for GERD. If it's that simple, I will be very happy. Her other alternative was to try 2 things. (1) I am to use the pulmicort 400 ug inhaler in conjunction with the oxeeze inhaler. These are the same two components as in the symbicort.

Another approach might be to avoid these two combination drugs, Advair and Symbicort, and substitute individual inhalert for each of the two drugs (the inhaled steroid and the beta-agonist). You could then reduce the dose of the beta agonist but, unfortunately that could not be done with a metered dose inhaler; would require the use of a nebulizer. You should also discuss this with your doctor. I mentioned individual sensitivity to the beta-agonist class of drugs.

Aside from everything else, this medication can have serious side effects. Steroids caused me a lot of physical problems (eyes, adrenals, and more) and I had to stop taking them. And in my case it was prescribed for COPD a medication commonly used for that condition. But for high blood pressure?

omg. thanks for mentioning symbicort. i started symbicort a while ago, and my throat clearing has gotten worse. my doctor has put me on nexium to dry up things, but i stopped taking it - just felt i didnt need it at the time. i may need to go back on the nexium or find out if the omnezaprole will work too.

I have asthma also and have been using Advair and now Symbicort for years. Are these concidered steroids? I also have seasonal allergies and have been taking loratadine and sudefed everyday for years. I'm at the point where I think I'm immune to all this stuff because it is not helping me. So did you stop the steroids and if so what do you do to control your asthma? I'm going to do the adrenal saliva test at the beginning of November.

I have recently been prescribed symbicort, but for some reason I read that corticosteroids are more widely used? Does anyone know whether long term acting beta agonists or cortisteroids are safer long term? What is safer on the heart? Also does xanax counter effect the high blood pressure etc. associated with asthma medicines?

She said I was quite a bit lower than expected, especially for the amount of exercising I do. She gave me albuteral and symbicort (plus some hayfever meds) and asked me to use the peak flow meter. I generally have been at about 450 on the flow meter and for my size and weght (6' tall and 160 lbs) it says I should be about 650. I don't seem to see any real improvement when I use Albuteral. The Symbicort keeps me awake at night when I take the 2x spray/2x a day.

s not on any meds except for symbicort turbuhaler which she uses twice daily day and night. She woke up in the middle of last night and vomitted. She felt her heart was throbbing hard. Her BP was quite low 96 54 while her pulse was 86. Her usual pulse is usually around 60. Her temperature was normal. Does anyone has the answer to this problem? even an idea of what's happening would be helpful. Thank you..

The combination medications which include inhaled steroids and a long acting broncho dilater like Advair, Symbicort and Dulera are standard treatments for all forms of COPD. They are also used to treat asthma which cannot be controlled on inhaled steroids alone. Have a blessed New Year.
