Swollen uvula beer

Common Questions and Answers about Swollen uvula beer

swollen

I went to the bathroom to spit the 'mucus' out, only to painfully discover that the 'mucus' was actually my swollen, bleeding uvula. Only the uvula is swollen, and it doesn't hurt, but gets in the way of breathing and swalling, so I'm afraid to go back to sleep. My question is- why is my uvula swollen and how long until it returns to normal?
Hello, I am a 20 year old female who has been experiencing swollen lymph nodes in the groin area for about 2 days after i consume alcohol. Muscle soreness is also present during this time. I have been taking Doxycycline for acne purposes since late august. I have had my tonsils and adenoids taken out when I was 16 because of frequent infection and one tonsil constantly swollen. Other than this, I a have been healthy. When i first noticed the swollen gland in my groin, i went to the gyno.
Almost every day I feel that part of my throat is swollen and I have a dull ache/discomfort in my throat. Sometimes it is higher in my throat, near my tonsils, and other days it is lower at the base of my throat (I’m assuming near my thyroid?). The discomfort is pretty consistently on the left side of my neck/throat. This has been going on for over a month now. I am not sure if my lymph nodes are actually swollen or not, but there is a general tightness or swelling feeling in my throat.

In the last 4 weeks I have noticed my right throat gland swollen, consistently, and in the last 3 days my right tonsil tingling and swollen too. In my throat, when I swallow food, it goes more to the left side now, as I belive my whole right side feels swollen. Left side feels great / normal. Just the last 2 days, my right ear has a consistent / intermittent ring (very mild) but it concerns me if it is connected.
Hello and hope you are doing well. As your doctor has suggested its unlikely that tonsil stones can cause your symptoms. Sometimes canker sores can cause these symptoms. It is very painful and can occur due to stress, vitamin deficiencies or trauma. Also, consider neuropathy. It is a disorder of the nerves which causes numbness, tingling, unusual sensations and sometimes pain. Diabetes Mellitus can cause neuropathy.
I have also had drainage, swollen glans and some facial pressure for a year off and on. I've concluded that it's most definetly food allergies. It's wheat, dairy, and sugar are the bad guys. When I exclude these bad guys my symptoms are better. The hard part is completely eliminating these foods. I wish there was a magic pill but I think due to the foods being processed and gmo's, these favorite things in my diet need to go.
I felt it was there early August 2008 and I'm still stressed about it right now. I even have at least three lymph nodes swollen--one at the back of my ear and one on each where the sideburns are. the lymph nodes came after a very bad cough that took me two weeks to recover from. I am having some back pain (bearable though)--and that's the worst thing I can say I have as of. I was looking for hints as regards my condition and the nearest possible case is Benign Limpoma or Hodgkins Lymphoma...
I'm on the same boat as all of you! I just got home from drinking and man.... One beer gets me so nauseous for the entire night, I get full... bloated... and extremely uncomfortable. It's lead me away from alcohol completely, though, I enjoy going out. I've had plenty of friends go "I bet you $5 I can make you burp" I ALWAYS walk away as the winner.
My boyfriend makes fun of me all the time, which doesn't really bother me. What really irritates me is that I like to drink beer (socially) and if I have more than one or two, the burping lasts all night. It seems especially bad with beer, but I don't really drink soda. I have never asked a doctor, but I am working on trying to figure this out. I've had it my whole life and there's only been one other person I know who has this.
Hypertonic solutions thin the sticky secretions and make them easier to wash out of your sinuses. Hypertonic solutions shrink swollen tissues by drawing out the excess moisture. When the swollen tissues shrink, the openings of the sinuses (the ostia) get bigger, and all the infected pus and snot can drain better. Hypertonic solutions wash out particles of pollution, fungus, and mold, so that your body won’t have an allergic reaction to them.
My throat also feels swollen. It seems like is shouldn't even bother going to the doctor since none of them have helped any of you. Right now I'm thinking of having my husband take me to the hospital emergency room since it is so bad.
