I would recommend having an ENT Specialist assessing your tonsils too. Sounds like a tonsil stones problem to me.

He looked at my tonsils and told be to invest in a Water Pik and clean your tonsils daily.
I started to produce white blob things from my tonsils and I read on the internet that they must be tonsil stones. This was out of one tonsil. While I continue to get tonsil stones in that tonsil, as i remove them that tonsil is gradually getting smaller. However the other tonsil is still as big as it was when I had tonsillitis and it is showing no signs whatsoever that it is going to produce tonsil stones. It is now 17th June and my tonsils are still in this condition.
I have tonsil crypt's pretty bad with constant tonsil stones/white stuff present. They often get very red, swollen and slightly painful. My question is does anyone know if tonsil stones have anything to do with geographic tongue? I get that on a regular basis as well and it is pretty distinct with often sensitivity to spicy foods. Also I occasionally get cold sores on the outside of my mouth. Are any of these mouth issues related?
Those little white things are coming from your tonsils. Search the web for "tonsil debris" or "tonsil stones". I have seen info regarding these but can't remeber what they are called or what to do about them. Good luck!!
Hi, I have never heard of stones in tonsils. I've heard of kidney stones and gallstones, but never stones in tonsils. I wonder if your tonsils are so hard that they feel like stones? Tonsils shouldn't have stones or feel hard, so please go to your physician and get this checked out. You might need to have them removed.
So they have now prescribed me antibiotics. I did some research and thought it might be tonsilitis or tonsil stones. But the sympoms don't quite fit. Both tonsils are swollen and have white spots, not patches. And I can't pick them off like tonsil stones. They look like someone had splashed white paint in the back of my mouth. My breath is horrible and even though both tonsils are swollen, I only have pain in the right one. And I salivate like crazy.
My right tonsil is twice as big as my left and constantly produces pea sized tonsil stones. (About half the size of my normal tonsil)
After one comes out, my throat hurts the rest of the day and I get a headache. - this May be related but I also get random sharp pain deep in the corresponding ear.
I also have chronic silent migraines corresponding to that side and what I believe to be slightly swollen lymph nodes.

I just finished reading your comments. I see that you recently joined Med help. Welcome to the allergy forum. Have you been to see your family doctor? If you haven't been to see your doctor, I would suggest making an appointment so your doctor can look at your throat, tonsils, ears etc and give you some suggestions and possible next steps. If your tonsil is swollen it's swollen for a reason and you need to see a doctor if you haven't already.

Redness / bumps in back of throat, Swollen tonsils with weird pockets in which sometimes allows for tonsil stones. Also, red lumps and ball like growth noticed near the tonsils. Went to a throat specialist, and all she had to say is that it is my anatomy... I doubt that to be honest. I have pictures if you need more insight. Please help me, I'm going crazy. I have had tonsil stones for two years! I generally gargle freguently and brush my tonsil (makes you gag) or poke them out with cotton bud!
I really dont want tonsilectomy, specially as I work on ENT ward, im more scared of the anaesthetic than anything!
I think ill continue to poke them out however im going ask at work about cautery (or something to seal my tonsils together as sometimes get bad breath

This could also be tonsil stones. These are calcium deposits in the tonsils that appear as white puss. If extracted, these stones are found to be hard and they have a bad smell. This is deeper than the normal folds that are in your tonsils, almost as if someone took a pencil and stabbed me in my tonsil and left a wound. There is not any pain, inflammation, redness, nor do I have a fever or nausea. It's very simply a hole in my tonsil. For anyone who knows anything about tonsilloliths, I would sure appreciate it if you could tell me if this is it , and if so how long does the hole stay there?
Okay, so here's the story. For the past month I've had swollen tonsils with white pieces of mucous or whatever and they tend to break off and they're not that great tasting. I've also had horrible breath and a slight sore throat. So i go to the doctor and he tells me it's strep so he gave me an antibiotic. I've known that it's not strep and the doctor was stupid.
Almost every medical website I have visited such as webmd, everyday health and patient info just to name a few all class dysphagia or difficulty swallowing as a symptom of having tonsil stones, yet a few other websites I visited said it is rare for tonsil stones to cause problems swallowing. I’m not sure if my tonsils are swollen but they are very red and in pain some of the time and it is very difficult to swallow food all of the time, even when I gargle with saltwater.
do not listen to these people who tell you the only cure is removing your tonsils completely. there is a STRONG correlation between tonsil stones and lactose intolerance. in fact, 7 out of every 10 americans DO NOT digest lactose properly causing you to create more mucus and the dairy to get caught in the back of your throat and nose because you do not digest it properly. This is the perfect storm for tonsil stones.
About a year ago I learned what tonsil stones were after searching the Internet awhile. Both of my tonsils were pretty big. So I went tonsil stone hunting and ended squeezing so many of those suckers out with my fingers. My tonsils immediately reduced in size. My right tonsil ended up shriveling up to almost nothing, and now it seems to have a flap as if I split my tonsil in half getting the stones out. Is that alright? That is my first and less important question.
My tonsils got swollen red and had white tonsil stones all over them and my tongue was white. They hurt alot but I didn't get any other symptoms like fever or rash just my throat. I didn't have any lesions but it lasted for about a month. I went through some amoxycilin but didn't fully heal so then i went to the clinic where the physician just glanced down my throat and prescribed me amoxycilin. I went through that bottle and still had white spots.
