So I think I have HPV in my tonsils as I have fleshy bumps - not actually growing on my tonsils - but it's just like a part of my tonsil is swollen. I don't know if its a HPV wart - but if it was cancer due to HPV would warts show or not ?
What your describing are not std symptoms from you encounter.

White discoloration may appear only on the tonsils or it may appear around the tonsils and throughout the mouth. It has gotten bad enough now that my throat feels closed off and when you look inside my mouth you can clearly see there is not much space between tonsils and my uvula is rubbing one of them.THe tonsils appear to be slighty red but other than that they do not appear to have spots or white anything on them. I have begun having problems sleeping as a result of this. I have no health insurance, in this day and age it is too hard to get it. I want to know what the problem could be.

So recently i had oral sex with my partner and like a day later I developed a cough. I've been coughing for about a week but today I noticed that my tonsils are swollen and i noticed 1 white spot on one of my tonsils. I got tonsilitus (sorry don't know how to spell that) when i was 16 and ever since then when i get sick my tonsils are the first thing to act up. They swell up and they hurt. ve gave oral sex to my boyfriend on the weekend and now I have really swollen tonsils and they have lots of puss spots which are extremely swollen and very painful. I went to the doctors and they gave me penicillin but said if it was an infection (I think) it wouldn't work. I a 19 year old female and have noticed swollen tonsils for almost a year now. In Mid-August 2014 I had what my campus doctor told me was a viral infection, which tested negative for strep. I had a sore throat, hoarse voice, and was given nothing for it at the doctors and was told it would go down on its own.

Day 4 (now): Very plugged ears, Swollen tonsils, less of sore throat, same cough, sore neck, same white around tonsil, a little bit plugged nose, perfect temperature still.

Okay, so here's the story. For the past month I've had swollen tonsils with white pieces of mucous or whatever and they tend to break off and they're not that great tasting. I've also had horrible breath and a slight sore throat. So i go to the doctor and he tells me it's strep so he gave me an antibiotic. I've known that it's not strep and the doctor was stupid.
Thursday morning I woke up to a sore/ scratchy throat. I figured it was from sleeping with my hair a little wet and having the fan on the night before and would go away later in the day. It never went away and continued. Friday was the same thing my throat felt to itchy and irritated I would keep coughing. Friday night it felt gross to swallow my saliva. Saturday it was the same thing so I looked in my mouth and noticed my tonsils were swollen.
i have not been tested to see if it was effective yet but i noticed i had very swollen tonsils with little holes in them..can i get tonsillitis from performing oral sex on an infected person? also i snore very loudly sometimes even when i am awake i find myself snoring..i am not overweight and in good health..i do not know how long i have had the enlarge tonsils but they cause me no pain or any other discomfort other than snoring..
My son is eight years old. He has just received his second positive, active EBV test in six months. He's very lethargic and not feeling well, and has a sore throat and headache. He also has low IgGs. He was born with low IgGs and if he had one more low he would've been severe combined. He had ENT infections every two weeks from birth to three as well as pneumonia and upper resp. infections.
My daughter started having swollen lympnodes in her neck & groin area with out any signs of being sick at age 19 months. Then she started running low grade fevers for about 5 months and had a weight loss. During thoses months we also noticed her tonsils became enlarged which started causing her to have sleep apnea. At 2 yearls Old Her regular doctor recommended her going to ENT because he was thinking that the tonsils were causing the swelling in lympnodes.
We used a condom for sex but have had unprotected oral sex. I have noticed that my tonsils are very swollen and it is somewhat uncomfortable to swallow. They are not red, they don't hurt, there are no other symptoms in my throat. I also had some white spots on my throat and swollen lymph nodes but I was given and antibiotic and something to swish and swallow and those have gone away and stayed away.
So i had strep thoat and finished taking my course of pencillin vk about a week ago, and my tonsils still havent gone down, and my lymphnodes are still swollen, admittedly i have been putting my finger in my throat to feel my tonsils and they are still pretty big, the white stuffs gone off them but they're still big. When can i expect them to go cause this is driving me nuts, also my tongue sometimes has a thin layer of whiteish colored stuff that brushes off, is this normal?
My throat does not burn, I do not have a fever, just uncomfortable to swallow because of the swollen tonsils. The white on my tonsils can be scraped off and is only on the tonsil.
What could this be? Are the bumps on the floor of my mouth connected to what's going on with my tonsils?
I'm actually more concerned with the bumps under my tongue because I think I have tonsilithes. I've been gargling with warm salt water and with a 50/50 Listerine / Peroxide mix.
It depends on how long it has been since you got over being sick. Sometimes it takes a while for your tonsils to shrink back down to size. Give it some time. If they are still very swollen, then it'd be a good idea to go to your doctors to have it looked at. They will tell you what is the best option for you.
