No other symptoms, No fever, no pain, just big annoying tonsils that makes it hard to sleep comfortably at night.
I did a blood test and CBC came back totally normal .. like WBC counts all are perfectly normal.
I will see a specialist in a couple of days, but what could it be?
Could it be a Mono Setback? I had mono around 40 days ago and I thought I totally am healed? Should I worry that my blood test is normal?

Has anyone been cured of these issues? I have the same symptoms as others on the thread for 2 months. Swollen tonsils, no fever or congestion at all. It doesn't seem to be getting better at ALL.
There has to be a way to fix this issue, no? Any thoughts are appreciated.
My doctor seemed to think that it may have been a dental problem, but I had no pain in my teeth. Is the gland that is swollen closer to the ear or more under the jaw? Is it actually a lymph node or could it be the submandibular gland? If it is possible that it is this one then it could be caused by an infection in that gland as well as a clog in the saliva ducts. At least that is what my doc also hypothesized.
i consumed a lot of alcohol and i lost ma voice a little in holiday and a couple of my mates came down with illnesses on holiday but they are all ok now but my tonsils are still enlarged and i have a little whiteness on my tongue
i had a fever for one day and then that went away but i am very worried about my tonsils.
i have been to the doctor and she xpects them to go down in a couple of weeks but that was a week ago and they have still not went down .
does anyone know what this could be?
About a week ago i woke up with a sore throat, that developed into aches, chills, fever, swollen lymph nodes, swollen tonsils. At the doctor, I tested negative for strep, the flu, and mono. Several days later, after I started feeling better, I began experiencing some mild vaginal burning and slight burning during urination when i was more dehydrated, as well as increased yellow/white discharge that had a scent to it.
s been more than 3 months since the onset of this problem, and the red spots and swollen tonsils (i can feel the swollen tonsil when I swallow) are still there. No improvement whatsoever. I have no fever or any other symptoms. I can see some mucus at the back of my throat but I am not congested.
Any ideas what this might be and what I can do about it? Is it about time to visit a specialist?

Day 4 (now): Very plugged ears, Swollen tonsils, less of sore throat, same cough, sore neck, same white around tonsil, a little bit plugged nose, perfect temperature still.

a couple months ago he had a huge swollen lymph node on his neck it was huge like the size of a ping pong ball and his tonsils were so swollen and white and ***** the doc tested him for strep and nothing. but she did give him meds.so we waited a few days and it went away no big deal, so about a month and a half ago him and my daughter both got sick with a runny nose cough fever bug.
My throat was really sore, I had a 103 degree fever, and thyroid glands were swollen. Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen didn't do much to relieve the pain. The rapid strep test said I did not have strep throat, but after looking at my throat a few times the doctor believed the test was wrong and gave me Augmentin.
So after 2-3 days the symptoms gradually got better and life resumed. I finished taking the antibiotic on Wednesday (the 16th).
I've been battling a persistent cough from hay fever for almost a week along with sinus drainage (post-nasal drip) and mild chest congestion. I've been treating it with allergy medication that you have to ask for at the pharmacy, the kind that has the 2 meds in them, loratadine and pseudoephedrine. In an effort to fight off the post nasal drip, I did some research and found that to kill the post-nasal drip from allergies, try the Flonase allergy spray.
Stinging continues, visit urgent care. Doctor finds no visible lesions, says tonsils/neck nodes are swollen but genital nodes are not.
Day 8 - 9: Stinging continues
Day 10: Stinging recedes
Day 13: Stinging barely noticeable
Describing this "stinging" is difficult: it feels a little like a sunburn, but slightly underneath the skin. There is no visible redness or lesions where it happens.
hi, thanks for your reply. We havnt an appointment yet for the mri, her consultant has reffered her for one. However we have been to see her consultant today after I telephoned her expressing my concerns. She had a very good all over check and she thinks shes pretty certain its a virus ontop of virus on top of infection thing :(. But has said if she deteriorates then we must take her to a&e. She confirmed tonsils very swollen but no infection.
The seriousness of infection reduced and a mild infection (like some thing itching on the tonsil area) continuous for about three months. After three months again the tonsils become swollen and reddish i consult with an ENT specialist who said it was follicular tonsillitis and gave antibiotics and injection. The infection was almost cured, but again shows signs of infections when exposed to cool wind, sleeps directly under fan or air condition etc. During these time i never had fever.
And about a month ago, after having been sexually involved with him (kissing, oral, and anal) I started getting swollen tonsils and possibly a fever. It was already 100+ degrees outside so I couldnt be sure. Anyway these swollen tonsils have persisted for a month now. And I've had an occasional small fever of 99.7 from under my toungue.
My primary care physician prescribed me Z pack, not sure why, she probably thought it was strep throat.
8 days after the second incident with him I had a sore throat and swollen tonsils with no fever. I did feel kinda run down. I went to the urgent care clinic and the strep culture was negative. My throat go a little better over the next 4 days then a week after I went to urgent care I woke up and my tonsils were very swollen and covered in white. My glands were sore in my neck when I pushed on them. The next day the tonsils still very swollen and covered in white and very sore.
after that it went away they were veryyyy inflammed but no spots on the tonsils or anything. they were just red. do you think this has to do with sores and all? would the sore come after before or durint those symptoms if I had it? and if those indeed were symptoms would the blood test show up positive during that time?
About 2 weeks ago the lymph node on the right side of my neck was swollen and painful. There was no fever or any other issue and I didn't think much of it since it went away on it's own in about a day. Now the same lymph node is swollen again and I still don't have a fever. I'm not sure if this is related but about ten years ago I had my tonsils removed. Could this be something serious?
Ok, over the past 3 days I have started to have a sore throat looked in the mirror and saw white patches on my tonsils the right one is kinda swollen and when I swallow it hurts not a stinging hurt but more of a sore hurt. I dont have a fever, I dont feel bad. My throat is just irritable. And the white patches look disgusting. I dont have health insurance and at this moment in time i cant afford to go to the Drs. Can someone help me?
I had strep throat about 2 weeks ago and they put me on antibiotics. I got better, but now my tonsils are swollen with white pus on them. They aren't sore at all. They are just swollen again and I don't know why. If any of you know, please let me know!!!
Five days after the exposure I developed a sore throat/ swollen tonsils with no other flu/cold symptoms. No other swollen lymph nodes are detected. I did NOT get a fever, lethargic, runny nose or any other typical flu symptom. I did however break out with the occasional cold sore that I have gotten in the past. I have been very stressed out at work for the last month, so I know my immunities are down.
My question : Are swollen tonsils a early symptom of HIV?
