swollen tonsil no pain

We went to see sm ENT after a round of amoxicillin gave no relief. She has a swollen tonsil on the right side that the ENT said was hard. She said the rest of the exam appeared normal but biopsied the hard spot, cutting a large chunk of tonsil out. It has been 6 days since the biopsy and we get results tomorrow. The PA for the ENT said maybe a tonsil stone, maybe tonsil cancer. She said she saw no signs of infection. When biopsied, we could see a large white spot.

My tonsils have been swollen since january, no pain or fever. There is just discomfort when swallowing but i cannot say that it is painfull. I went to the doctor and did the throat swabs 3x since it started but the results came out to be negative from strep.

I have similar problems! Swollen tonsil on one side, also swollen lymph nodes on neck (much larger on side of swollen tonsil) and extreme tiredness and muscle aches! Also my hair has gotten a lot thinner! Been tested for nearly everything, had the tiredness, muscle aches and hair thinning for 8 months, and the tonsil and lymph node for 3 months now!

I have this feeling in my throat that something is stuck or swollen. I think I feel my right tonsil swollen and it seems to come and go, but for the most part it is swollen. No sore throat. I have had blood test done and methacoline challenge test done. Blood work shows allergies and methacoline challenge test shows it could be vocal cord dysfunction. I still have to see a allergist and speech therapist. My question is does my swollen tonsil have anything to do with this?

He discovered i also have a swollen tonsil. The swollen tonsil could be from post nasal drip, and the right tonsil is swollen because i sleep on my right side and so it is subject to the nasal drip. Still, he insisted i get an MRI because a swollen tonsil could indicate other problems - like a tumor for one. i had the MRI last night and hope to get results in several days.

Yesterday, I noticed my left tonsil was swollen again and now the white spots are reforming. Once again, there is no pain. I have a history of tonsil stones so I know that this is something different. I am going back to the doctor in 6 days, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows what could be going on.

Hi, my left tonsil had holes in it and recently got swollen. I have no white stuff on it and I did about 8 HIV tests in 4 months, all negative. The tonsil swelled about 4 weeks ago and hasn't gone down since. I tried gargling with warm salt water, manuka honey and lemon juice. I have no fever, night sweats or throat pain. Throat slightly red and and get a little sore only when I smoke. My insurance just ran out. Has anyone had this?

I never had a fever or any pain (or any white spots), and my left tonsil was always more swollen. I went to a doctor last week, and he prescribed an antibiotic mouthwash and then penicillin, neither of which worked. I'm now waiting for blood work results. Could this be anything serious?

My sore throat was very severe for about a week in May and then it stopped hurting but my left tonsil has remained swollen. The lymph nodes in the left side of my neck have been swollen this whole time too, and I have armpit pain on the left side. I recently developed some sort of illness with coughing, severe sore throat, and sneezing AGAIN... I went to the doctor and they have no idea what it is! My right tonsil is swollen and has been for 2 months. The tonsil itself doesn't seem to hurt but when I yawn it is definately uncomfortable in my ear and sometimes when I swallow it is uncomfortable in my throat but nothing extreme. I was in to see my regular doctor in April and she did a strep test, which was negative, and also looked at my ears which she said there was a little fluid.

On February 3rd I had looked in the mirror and noticed that my right tonsil was larger than the left. I had zero pain or soreness but started checking for swollen glands in my neck and found 2. Hi. My right tonsil is bigger than my left. there is no pain or any other symptoms besides the right side of my neck being a little tender. From a scale of 1- 10 the tenderness being a 1. I also have swollen gums. Maybe that may have something to do with it? what could this be? Should I take this seriously?

I have had tonsil stones but now my right tonsil is very large. No sore throat scratchy throat pain just pressure pain. It feels as if i have a growth in my tonsil or a clogged duct. I can feel the lump in my tonsil with my tongue and if i push with my tongue a bad taste will follow. I have had pain behind my tonsil, in my ear and also behind the glands in my neck. After 10 more days for additional 2 days I felt uncomfortable . No fever. And again just sore throat . After 5-6 day me right tonsil gat swollen . For about 15 days . Hi you answered the question I had about my tonsil. You talked about the swelling maybe going down since I've posted my problem and I wanted to give an update and see if your opinion was still the same. My runny nose, sore throat, and whatever else kind of sickness I had before is gone. There is no pain in my throat and my tonsil isn't so swollen that I can't swallow normally. It doesn't cause me any discomfort anymore and it doesn't look as if there's anything on it.

I am a male, 28 and last week I had oral sex with a woman. Three days after I got one swollen tonsil with slight pain when swallowing and white spots on tonsil. I went to the ER and they tested me for mono and strep. Which came back negative. Now they tested me for STD's and I am still waiting those results but I do not have fever and no pain anymore. Sunday... I gave a guy I'd been talking to oral and it got pretty rough. It was only my second time doing so and I was not used to his size. Hi there, I just finished reading your comments. I see that you recently joined Med help. Welcome to the allergy forum. Have you been to see your family doctor? If you haven't been to see your doctor, I would suggest making an appointment so your doctor can look at your throat, tonsils, ears etc and give you some suggestions and possible next steps. If your tonsil is swollen it's swollen for a reason and you need to see a doctor if you haven't already. I wish you well.

to be a little larger than a normal tonsil. He asked me if I had any unexplained weight loss and I told him no. I also told him of lymphoma being in my family history (grandmother and father having lymphoma). He told me that he believed the "tonsil" needed to be removed. In the past week the pain has increased and so has the fatigue. I am scheduled for surgery for this Friday. I am concerned that he has not done any bloodwork.

I had a look in my mouth and the back of my throat was a bit red on the right side that was scratchy, not the tonsil but the bit just infront and neither tonsil looked swollen. It doesnt feel like a sore throat usually does, not sure if this is anything to be concerned about? About 2 days after we had sex, a weird needle-like pain started in the left side of my penis head / shaft, it moved slowly every day towards the left side of my pelvic / butt area, then it worked slowly it’s way to my throat - left tonsil – but by the time it reached my left tonsil, that needle-y pain has stopped in my pelvic / penis completely.
