swollen lip pain

I recently had a swollen upper lip on the middle portion that lasted for about a day. There was no pain or anything. Now, about a week later, my fiancee has the same thing with her upper lip. It this herpes-related, allergy reaction, or what are the possible causes?

I'm 45, my top lip gets dry for a few days then a tiny bump shows up, then my lip swells pretty big, for a few days mostly at night. swelling subsides a little during the day has a tingling in it after several days my lip cracks and drains this happens a few times a year. All together from beginning to end it lasts about 2 weeks.

Saturday I woke up and the swelling was still there, about the same. Sunday I woke up and my upper lip was swollen to the same size of my swollen lower lip. They were also extremely chapped and the chapping was yellow. I had been applying vaseline and noticed that the skin would turn yellow, so then I'd take it off with a q-tip and re-apply. During the day I wasn't able to reapply and I felt an extreme burn all day.

My second question, I woke up this morning, 2-3 weeks after the incident, and I have sores in my mouth. When I first woke up this morning, my upper lip was swollen, There was three areas on my upper lip that was red, after I brushed my teeth the swollen lips went down, but they are still red in those spots. I also looked in the back of my mouth and I see a few red things on the sides of my mouth. I can feel them with my tongue and they don't belong there.

That exact thing happened to me once. I never did find out exactly what caused it but I thought it had been an allergic reaction to the type of condoms we were using. My swelling went away in a day.

I have had a blood clot on my lower lip for more than 2 years now and I have done everything within my knowledge to make it go away but it wouldn't,my lower lip is swollen as a result of this blood clot,it all started with a bad habit of biting my lower lip whenever I am in pain,bored or nervous.I stopped when I realised my lip was getting deformed,now I just feel depressed looking at it and people asking me what is wrong with my lip...

A few days after that i noticed on the right side of my upper lip and indent in my lip with some tiny bumps. Then a day after that I noticed the middle part of my upper lip is swollen and puffy and all my lips have became extremely chapped. I put lemon oil on my lips and the chapped lips have gotten better however the middle part of my upper lip is still puffy and the underside on the right part of my upper lip is still indented and has the little bumps.

t very hungry so I drank some milk and started on my homework and my lip started to tingle and then it started to swell from the left side and when I woke up, my whole upper lip was swollen and still is. Usually I would wake up with my lip feeling tingly and then it would swell or it would do that around 10:00 am or around 11:30 but never has this happened at night before.

Im 25 weeks pregnant with baby #3 all my symptoms have came super fast and stronger than before, but this morning i woke up with a fat/swollen lip and a bloody nose. I get the bloody nose but has anyone ever had the swollen lip? Is it part of pregnancy?!

I was on amoxicillin for a few months for a dental abscess. This was around 7 months ago. Since then, my lower lip on the right side has been swollen. My checks also swell sometimes on the inside. This has been going on and off for around 6 months. The lip swelling goes down but never really goes away completely. The cheek swelling is the same as it comes and goes but is always somewhat puffy and swollen still. No real pain, just annoying.

Today I have pain where gum meets the lip. My chin, cheek and jaw have become painfully inflamed. My lower lip has swollen up over the top lip. I have nothing that looks like an abscess, but symptoms are very familiar to me. Also, feverish, sore throat and dry mouth.

At first it happened once every few days but now everymorning I wake up with a swollen lip and it being numb in the area. Feels like the novacaine used by dentists. Its always a specic region of the lip, usually the right or left side. Either upper or lower lip. There is no itching, burning, or pus in the area. Only swollen lip that is numb. The other day my bottom lip was tingling on the right side, but i didn't think anything of it because i had a pimple coming up just below my lip so i thought that was it. 3 days ago I was fixing to go to bed and my tooth started to hurt a bit, so I took a ibuprofin and went to bed. When i woke up the next day my top lip was a bit swollen and hurt bad. my lip has been swollen for six months. I've had two biospies done, bloodwork, examinations by several doctors NOT NOTHING! Still in search of an answer.

On Saturday, I noticed that a part of my lower lips was getting swollen and there were even a few blisters. So when I noticed the bump, I immediately put some abreva on it using a q tip. I have been using petroleum Jelly 100% and my lips are swollen and I am having a little trouble breathing. This happened over the summer ( no trouble breathing) and the doctor gave me 2 shots and told me to stop using Chap Stick and use petroleum jelly. So I did switch to what I thought was pure petroleum jelly. Things got better for a while (3 and 1/2 months) then about 2-3 weeks ago my lips got swollen and itchy and I had shortness of breath.

I'm a new teenager. My right vaginal lip has been swollen for about a week but there's no pain. When I sat up straight it would hurt for the first 3 days. This happened when I got my period was ending. The swollen part just got bigger.
