I had my first ever yeast infection last year this time. It is possible it very well could be a yeast infection, but it is very different from last year so I assumed it yo be different.

I've been on antibiotics for a week to treat a respiratory infection. Shortly after as usual I'm experiencing a yeast infection. ok...I decided on the Monistat one day care pack. Y'know the one with the ovule, wipes and a small tube of cream. Hours after I inserted the ovule my "lady" became very irritated and swollen. Very painful. The next day I noticed that I had two huge nodules (almost like vaginal warts) on the outter area of my labia.

that night, i noticed that my my inner right labia was red a swollen. the next morning the swelling went down but still continues to be very itchy. Now the other side of my outside labia is swollen, red, and feels hard. There is also some discharge, which has become to look like the discharge from a yeast infection. I have read places that spermicides cause yeast infections, but have never had one this bad!! any idea whats going on???

It's probably either a yeast infection or an ingrown hair that's become infected. Both very common and nothing to worry about. If you're afraid to go to the doctor, go to a pharmacy and get some over the counter yeast infection medicine. Buy the cream form, not the ovules since you say it's mostly your outer labia. Put the cream on the area that's red and swollen and se if it helps. If it's yeast, you'll notice it getting better within a day.

My discharge is now bloody and my labia is getting even more swollen. I was tested for a bacterial infection, yeast infection, and herpes today. The sores are long and not round like pimples. It looks more like I took the skin off with a razor, but it is on the inside of my labia where I don't shave. I have slept with two people, who both, I believe, were virgins. My bones are aching and I have a high fever.

then later itchiness and i knew a yeast infection was setting in because we had a lot of dry sex and i always get yeast infections after dry sex. so anyway i chug water for my uti and buy monistat 1 for the yeast infection. had a horrible reaction. swelling, pain, itchiness, redness and my left labia was much more swollen than my right! now that the swelling went down i decided to check it out down there, thats when i noticed a firm bump that itches and is sore.

Right now my thighs are burning. I know I have a yeast infection right now, could the discharge from the be irritating the back of my thighs? I also have anal itching almost every day. I don't know what to do about this anymore? Has anyone experienced this? I've had every STD test under the sun, and as I said before both of my Herpes tests have been negative. I'm starting to think this is all in my head but I don't know what to do.

My labia minora is very itchy and is now red and slightly swollen, probably from scratching so much. I've never had a yeast infection before, but I was recently prescribed a cream to deal with a fungal infection of my eczema on my arm. The little research I've done seems to indicate the fungal infection and the yeast infection share similar sources. It is really itchy but no discharge or any other symptoms. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I've been suffering with swollen labia minora for 2-3 days now. I see a lot of women on here talking about abscesses(sp?) and a lump that comes to a head and bursts with puss and blood. That's not what I'm experiencing. My swell up to about two times my normal labia minora size then the skin gets sort of chapped and hard and small cuts might form. From that stage it eventually starts to heal after several days.

My friend had a swollen labia caused by staff infection. Just an idea of a possible cause.

I can hardly walk and my labia are swollen. I really don't know what to do. I tried ice but it really doesn't help. And it sometimes itches so bad I can't help but scratch it. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Could you just be really dry down there? If so, the bumps could be from your labia rubbing together as you move. But the yeast infection sounds likely too.

I had a recurring cycle of antibiotic use (for sinus infections) and then I get a yeast infection -every time. If this is a yeast infection, it is a doozy. I was able to treat mine with Monistat 7 (7 day, not 5 day kind) and rebuilt the natural bacterial flora in my gut by eating yogurt for two weeks or using probiotics.

The reason why I say that is because I was a little swolled as well and I burned, a day before that I was extremely itchy, I went to an urgency care to find out what it was, they found nothing!!! I thought that I had a yeast infection so I went and bought monistat 1 day treatment. I used it and then I woke up in the middle of the night and my vagina is swollen and hurts a lot. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this swelling? Will tylenol do anything? Has anyone else experienced this?

ve never know or expereienced a yeast infection to cause swelling of the labia. Is the swelling uniform in appearance, as in the entier labia is swollen or is it more of a lump bumpy sort of appearance? Other than swelling does it appear normal color? Or is there bluish tinting to it? Have you noticed it's worse after you have been up and around for awhile and better after you have laid down and rested?

s safe to take for a yeast infection/other infections throughout your pregnancy. I had a yeast infection a couple times while pregnant, and I took the cream from the pharmacy that was prescribed. It's best, IMO, to get it properly diagnosed as it could be a different vaginal infection (unless you're positive it's yeast) and get it treated. At the very least, your doctor can advise you on what brand/type to take OTC.

Go see a doctor, he will take a swab of your discharge and check if its an infection, it sounds a lot like a yeast infection but you should never diagnose yourself and use over the counter medicine without consulting a doctor you can be making your infection worse not better

I have swollen lymph glans as well as a swollen labia. I also have a what appears to be a "cut" on the swollen labia and is now kinda scaby looking. I noticed this cut a couple of days ago because it caused me some burning. It is very uncomfortable to wear jeans, therefore I have been wearing very wide sweat pants that avoid as much contact possible with my vagina. I have previously had UTI and a Yeast Infection.

im not a doc. but if the guys hands were not clean the you may have a yeast infection or some kind of infection. i have never heard of someone speading warts on their hands to genitals so i dont think that that is it. im not sure what your realationship with your mother is, but i was having sex at 17 and if you are planning to maybe now is the time to tell her. you really should go to the doctor to make sure it is nothing serious anyways!

He prescribed me Bactrum to kill any remaining bacteria from the bladder infection and fluconazole for my beginning signs of a yeast infection. Saturday night I took the anti fungal first, then I proceeded to start my course of antibiotics. I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme itching and burning. I kept waking up and scratching like crazy to get relief. It started hurting and swelling up my labia because of all the scratching.

Absolutely could be a yeast infection. It's unlikely to be hsv1 from 30 seconds of oral sex but it is posible. The one sounds like a pimple or ingrown. My best advice is to get in to a dr or clinic today. Get yourself looked at and the effected area swabbed and pcr tested.

I am 20 wks pregnant and lately my labia has been swollen and itchy with some visable white discharge. On one side the fold between my labia majora & minora has a crack that has bled slightly when I've wiped. I go to the doctor in a few days but was wondering if I should call him now or just wait until I see him. Any suggestions? Thanks!
