I have itchy swollen eyes quite often they swell up really sore and watery, I'm not sure what brings it on and it can happen any time of the year and they are really sensitive once I knock they or get anything inside one it flares up.
they get really swollen and the skin above and under them gets really really dry. They also get really itchy, but i use allergy eye drops to help that. However, my eyes still continue to get swollen and dry. I am currently taking Allegra-D and Singulair for my allergies. My doctor had prescribed me to Pata-a-Day Eye Drops as well, but they became too expensive and weren't working very well, so i switch to an over the counter brand. My medicine is obviously not working very great either.
Nearly 3 weeks ago I awoke with extremely swollen eyes. (So swollen that even the bridge of my nose was larger than normal) The swelling subsided (did not ever fully go away) but my eyelids remained itchy, red and warm to the touch. A few days later my eyelids seemed to be ok other than extremely dry skin in the corners and upper brow area. My lids have remained slightly itchy since that day with a flare up last night and into today.
Actually i neglected it and like a month ago it went away but now it came back i dont know why it gets really really itchy and its spreading under my eyes and lips very fast.
I dont know if its an allergic reaction because i have not changed any of my things cream, toothpaste but yeah i did change my soap so could it be because of that and please tell me certain treatment that i cud apply...
please help...
Red swollen itchy sometimes scaly eyes. I have never had any problems and developed this eye problem a year and a half ago. My doctors have there ideas of what it is but....they don't seem to suffer from my problem and I really don't think putting cortizone cream on my eyelids is a great idea. I was also on a diet of drinking water and not eating any sugar, salt , flour, wheat, soy, tomatoes, potatoes, pork...etc.
I have a recurring condition that affects both of my eyes (more the right than the left). It begins with a burning sensation, then I awake in the morning with swollen, itchy eyes that are red on my eyelids and below my eyes almost to my cheek bones. I am left with scaley, sagging skin above and below my eyes, and bags of fluid that collect under my eyes right above my cheek bones. My skin responds as though it has been burned by crusting over and collecting fluid.
After about 3-4 days the swelling moved/shifted to the area between his eyes, and then to the LEFT side of his eyes, and the original place where the swollen started (the RIGHT side) was gone, like it moved and shifted to another place.
So it became his LEFT side area around the eyes were swollen, this went on also for about 3 days.
when my whole episode started in may, i had numb, itchy forehead and very swollen upper eyelids---periorbital edema.
i went to an allergist and was negative for everything and didn't respond to any allergy meds. it lasted about 6 weeks and i still think my eyelids are a bit droopy from it...then the numbness and everything else followed.
again though, i don't think i've ever heard of this being related to m.s. at all.

t relate the horrible red bloodshot eyes to the CPAP, but now that my eyelids are swollen, itchy and my eyes are staying red, and the only thing that's changed is I've been wearing a cpap mask for the past 8 nights...I guess that's what's happening. I called the sleep clinic, talked to a nurse and she told me to stop the cpap for a couple nights to see if it got better. I've gone one night without the cpap...and my eyes are not recovered, I'm going another night tonight.
I used a washcloth compress to get the swelling down and the eyes continued to be red and swollen and itchy and I noticed little blisters kind of like what I get when I wear cheap jewelry and get a chemical reaction from the metal. I have tried some Zatidor eyedrops-antihistime twice daily. It does seem to help a little inside the eye (very little).
I have eczema all over my body and withing the past year i have swollen eyelids, with extra wrinkles. my eyes are also itchy. What can i do so that my eyes aren't disgusting and itchy?
Itchy always and raspy, yes, but don't recall being or feeling swollen. You might want to check with you MD, just to make sure.

Things got better for a while (3 and 1/2 months) then about 2-3 weeks ago my lips got swollen and itchy and I had shortness of breath. This time the lips were not as bad as they were over the summer but I had the added symptom of shortness of breath.
I went to the doctor and she said to stop taking the new meds I was taking. She also thought it was not the lip treatment I was using if things were fine for 3 and 1/2 months and this started when I started my new meds.
I had a LASIK surgery 11 years before. I got HSV 1 and HSV 2 positive (I think that also for the past 10 years). From that period onwards, now and then I am feeling a severe burning sensation in my eyes. At that time I won't be able to keep my eyes open. Sometimes one of the eyes or both will become red. Sometimes the eyelids will become swollen and itchy. If I work in my system for a long time my eyes will get tired sooner.
