Avatar f tn My dentist told me it will cause canker sores and swollen gums and be very painful but should clear in 10 to 14 days. He also said it could be I was worn out and with all the stress I am under (divorce, lots of weight loss, and 3am to 9pm job) my body might have been giving me a warning sign with my immune syatem. I dont know what to think. I feel so foolish for not thinking better and not taking my time.

Avatar f tn I have a nodule on my gums. I had to get an antibacterial rinse from my dentist to keep it from getting infected. You might call your dentist and see if there is anything they recommend.
Avatar f tn what can I do for my swollen gums ? They are bleeding more than usual when I brush ..?
Avatar f tn Its best to brush your gums and Floss everyday. Flossing with make your gums go down.Your gums will bleed but if u do it everyday it will stop. I know i am a Dental Assistant. I hope this helps you.
2078979 tn?1332206668 I'm 20&1 and my guns are swollen....anyone else having this problem and what can i do to reduce the pain ?
Avatar f tn and i have been experiencing super swollen gums and bleeding! It is ridiculously annoying and I dnt know what to do. My insurance isnt effective until Sep.1st so i cant go to the dentist yet. I've been brushing and flossing and mouthwash 2 times a day everyday and it still doesnt help. I was wondering of anybody else is experiencing this and if there are any other remedies to use until I can go to the dentist?
Avatar n tn It was not an abcessed tooth, but they did see something there that needed to be cleaned out (no specifics on what) So he rooted around in there to clean out whatever was there, and now it feels like I have gums missing, although I'm sure it'll feel back to normal once it heals. No antibiotics, just let them know if there's any pain/recurrance of swelling in the next couple weeks, otherwise they'll see me in a month for my cleaning.
Avatar f tn They would try to break through my gums, leaving me with swollen, aching gums. I would chew gum all the time just to give myself something to do - plus, for some reason, it would take the 'edge' off the pain. I went through that for several months until I had them all out at once. I was 17 and quite relieved. As long as that tooth stays where it is, there is the chance that it will apply pressure to the teeth nearby and cause shifting.

Avatar n tn Hi, How are you? Gingivitis or inflammation of the gums is due to the long-term effects of plaque deposits. Injury to the gums from any cause, including overly vigorous brushing or flossing of the teeth, can also cause gingivitis. This presents with bleeding gums, bright red or red-purple appearance to gums, tenderness, mouth sores, and swollen gums. Have this checked by your dentist for proper evaluation. It is important that the inflammation is reduced. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I have 4 on my lips, 4 on my gums and 2 on my tongue... my gums are swollen and my tonsils have many white spots on them... i still struggle through eating even ice cream and have lost about 10 pounds (which is not a good thing when you have very little to lose)... i understand that it's a viral infection, but since it's lasted 6 days and tomorrow will complete the full week and my throat and mouth have not improved much i'm getting a little concerned... any help?
Avatar f tn I'm not sure if the meds have anything to do with your swollen gums. I do know a deep cleaning can cause them. Swish around some warm salt water to get the swelling down. If it does'nt get better in a couple of days, get in to see your dentist again.
Avatar f tn Do they bleed to? Mine do every morning.
397982 tn?1210924921 Yes, bleeding swollen, sensitive gums can be an early sign of pregnancy. My gums hurt a lot when I was pregnant and bled everytime I brushed my teeth, I asked my Dr. because I didn't know if it would affect my mitral valve and she said it was common in pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Im 6wks tomorrow and my gums are so sore! Pre preg they used to bleed when brushing but.now just do it randomly.
Avatar n tn my gums are swollen and sensitive now, feeling tired in general, what I have is not flu (I think) as I don't have runny nose. I live in a foreign country and weather is generally cold here now, and I am not used to such cold. I am with one girl for 3 months and we are having unprotected sex, and I am scared of HIV possibilities, and I don't know what to do. About sexual relation: The girl was never tested for HIV.
Avatar m tn Hey thanks Gellia, yea I guess so my 2nd molar is still yet to come out and x-rays have shown (i used to wear braces am on retainers now) that my wisdom teeth are all impacted so they have to be extracted at a later stage. Anyway, went to see the dentist and the dentist said it was a viral infection and gave me some antiseptic mouth wash said it would subside within a week or two. Thanks!
568875 tn?1424397205 Pregnancy gingivitis is caused by the hormonal changes that increase the blood flow to the gum tissue and cause your gums to be more sensitive, irritable and swollen. The hormonal changes also hinder the body's normal response to the bacteria which causes periodontal infections. This makes it easier for plaque to build up on your teeth and makes you more susceptible to gingivitis.
7915225 tn?1539215847 I tried giving him teether but he doesn't like them, he throws away . Its either chews his tongue or his fingers or his father's fingers when he gets home.
Avatar m tn I asked him to check my teeth and gums again and there was something wrong, i had to do 3 fillings on the right side which is not where my gums were swollen (and it's just weird that i still have cavity even though i brush and floss my teeth very carefully and use mouthwash, i don't drink alcohol, soda and i don't smoke).
