Was hoping if any of you could tell me if this all sounds like the start of lupus... First started with sore spasmy swollen calf- left side only. Then started having tingley sensations in my foot and then prickley feeling in my face/scalp. Then I will randomly have shooting pains in my legs and hands. I also have really bad burning pain in my shoulder and neck that goes along with extra special crackiness.
I am a 34 yr old woman and for the past year have been unwell. I had developed a large swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck almost a year ago which a CT confirmed. Since then I have had multiple infections, breathing difficulties etc. In the past week I have noticed smaller swollen lymphs either side on my collarbone and then discovered three large swollen lymphs behind my left knee.
I am 43yo male, and recently had US and CT scan of the neck to investigate two swollen lymph nodes which were present for longer than a year in my left neck. Several nodes were found on the jugular(mid) chain, many sub-centimeter and 5 >= 1 CM the largest ones were 2.26, 1.65 and 1.55 CM. They are on both sides of the neck and under my chin as well. Nothing else was found in CTs of abdomen and groin. I have a biopsy scheduled for next month, but have read myself into anxiety attacks.
What is your ANA level and what is the pattern? I have lupus and your sx sound like they could be lupus related. Are you familiar w/ the sx of lupus? There are 11 criteria for a lupus dx. You must have at least 4 of the 11 to recieve a dx. They are: 1. malar rash over cheeks (butterfly rash) 2. discoid rash, red raised patches 3. photosensitivity - reaction to sunlight, resulting in skin rash 4. oral and nose ulcers 5. arthritis 6.
You should see your surgeon who can examine to see if your lymph nodes or glands are swollen. It is not uncommon to have swollen lymph nodes under your jaw following surgery, however, only you surgeon can determine if it is normal or the beginning of an infection. I also am experiencing the end of my tongue being somewhat irritated, numb, and mapped. Some mornings, I wake up with swollen gums behind my front teeth; wondering if my tongue is causing that while I sleep! Anybody here having tongue issues along with lips and eyes? I've tried all kinds of topical things on my lips and eyes, but nothing seems to really work. This week, I'm trying the apple cider vinegar, as I've heard from other sources that this is really good.
anything Thanks i'm in my 20s, a little over a year ago I developed swollen lymph nodes under my chin, jaw, and back of neck. I just noticed all 5 nots basically go in a circular line-meaning I can put my finger on a swollen lymph node and basically run my finger in a circle around my head and touch all the swollen nodes without taking my finger out of line. A few months ago a co-worker told me his glands under his chin swelled because of mouth infections.
Since yesterday I've had a large swollen bump on the labia majora..it's very painful, it hurts to walk or sit. I've been putting warm cloth on it and it seemed to help with the swelling but it's still really painful. I don't really want to go to the doctor because I just don't have the money right now, and I feel like it would be a waste if it's something that I can take care of on my own. Anyone else ever experienced this before? What can I do to ease the pain?
I have the same problem as this red swollen itchy eyelids. Don't have allergies like this. I do wear contacts--why would they cause this? I haven't been wearing the contacts for days now....

I get frequent mouth sores, ulcers. I get them on my gums, tongue, inner cheek. They are very painful. My lymph nodes will enlarge with these. I have a positive AnA and was tested for lupus. But the mouth sores was the only other sx for lupus. WHat can I do about these? Sometimes my tongue will feel swollen with this. Also, I have documented TMJ problems bilaterally. I had surgery in 1988 to put the menisicus back in place on both sides. But I continue to have pain and popping.

Tests for Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and Lyme disease all came back negative and I'm at my witt's end searching for answers.

My symptoms started 2 years ago on my 24th b day. It started with swollen lymph node under chin. Then my upper very back tooth started hurting for a week. So that caused me to get it pulled. I still had pain in the tooth and gums which worsened over the next few months so I went back to my dentist several times and completed several rounds of antibiotics which caused a yeast infection in my gums. She finally sent me to an endodontist to have a root canal. The pain continued, the gums started swelling and the burning in the gums persisted,so I went back to endodontist to have x-rays. She didn't see anything wrong and told me give it some more time to heal.
From January to Feb I lost about 10lbs, my face destroyed by what appears to be more folliculitis than acne and my stomach a loose, gassy mess. I started noticing more and more white covering on my tounge, got painfull gums from time to time and a bad taste in my moth and on the back of my toung every morning and most times when I eat. I was pretty much considering getting my business in order to face the inevitable.

Dear Doctor, I began with a "petechiae rash" February 24th accompanied by sore, swollen, and bleeding gums, left flank pain and hematuria. My pcp did STAT bloodwork and I was told everything looked okay but this particular rash must be investigated because it usually does not occur without a reason. I have since then seen a dermatologist who agrees with what my pcp said and they are sending me to a Rheumatologist, my appt. is the 16th of this month.
