Common Questions and Answers about Swollen gums loose tooth

If the tooth has been fractured by any injury, the dentist may perform a root canal to prevent infection and then treat the loose tooth. Bleeding and swollen gums could be due to bacteria or a lack of a certain vitamin that can lead to swollen gums, gingivitis, scurvy, periodontitis etc. In gingivitis there are swollen gums, bad breath, easily bleeding of the gums during flossing or brushing and gums may appear red-colored.
When your child's tooth starts to get loose...wiggle it and pull it out when it's loose enough...NEVER wait for it to fall out itself. Hope this helps!
since last 2 month am having a problem in my tooth, the left front tooth is paining slightly if pressed a bit towards right side,n the gum just in between the gait n back side of front teeth becomes slightly swollen then it goes off, rest all teeth are fine n there is no gum problem, neither the front left tooth is loose or shaking, but when i touch the tooth with my finger or slide my finger on top of the tooth there is a different feeling from rest of the teeth.the tooth is not sensitive either.
Will I still be able to get a root canal, or will the tooth have to be extracted? Currently, it's loose. I can touch it and see it move a little relative to the other teeth. But I assume that has something to do with the swollen gums/cheek? The swelling has finally started to go down now that it's been about 24 hours since starting the z-pak, but I'm worried as I would really prefer a root canal to extraction. Thoughts?
The most swollen part of my mouth are the top left gums above the tooth, and pressure on the swelling is mild-moderate pain. Putting pressure on the Cheek, which is the most swollen on my face, is extreme pain. The cheek feels full/pressured, and I haven't had any mucus or anything Since Sunday (clearest nasal breathing I've ever had), but each day the cheek feels more and more swollen, and my head starts to feel like it's gonna burst.
Anyway, my left middle tooth, the tooth to the left of that and the canine tooth to the left of that are a little sensitve and feel as though they're slightly loose... My gum gives me a funny feeling every now and then almost like a little twitch in that general location. Also the gums around that area, front of the teeth and back, feel a little funny to touch. The gums around the tooth looks healthy and pink and the teeth aren't discolored.
Anyways, I have noticed for a long time now, that the glan in my throat under that back tooth gets swollen sometimes and painfull. I also find from time to time that it seems more difficult for me to swallow, which scares me just from that feeling. 1- Can a tooth thats broken off, and only have roots cause me to feel sometimes like it is much harder to swallow? 2- Just how scarey is it to have roots removed, how bad is it to get that done, and what is the precidure?
I don't know how much longer I will be able to hold out with this abscsessed wisdom tooth. It's starting to cause pain and talking antibiotics right now would just make me miserable. I get the nasty side effects of diarrhea every time I've taken them before. I had an abscessed tooth this same time last year. Which almost killed me by 3 days. I'm already having lots of loose stools and will go to the bathroom at least 4-7 times daily.
for about a week now the left side of my face & has been extremely painful...it started with me noticing that my cheekbone was sore...then my eyebrow...as well as the thin skin beneath the eye....i began noticing the top gums & the roof of my mouth were also getting swollen and sore (on the same side only) .. very similar to the feeling i have had before when i had an abscessed tooth that needed to be pulled, however in that case, i KNEW where the pain was originating from .....
While the teeth themselves are not terribly yellow, the gums appear a bit worn or swollen and might could be considered spongy. I can't really tell if the gums are receding; if so, they haven't done so noticeably. They are not red, but my bottom (front and center) teeth feel a little "off." Not loose per se, but perhaps a bit "tingly." My gums do bleed some when I brush them as well. Recently, scared, I realized the effects of my negligence and self-depreciation.
Would this attract HIV like a genital with an STD? I have loose gums around my wisdom teeth and before I became aware that the teeth had become inflamed, I deeply kissed a guy of unknown status. He may not have had the best oral hygiene either.
I am 43yo male, and recently had US and CT scan of the neck to investigate two swollen lymph nodes which were present for longer than a year in my left neck. Several nodes were found on the jugular(mid) chain, many sub-centimeter and 5 >= 1 CM the largest ones were 2.26, 1.65 and 1.55 CM. They are on both sides of the neck and under my chin as well. Nothing else was found in CTs of abdomen and groin. I have a biopsy scheduled for next month, but have read myself into anxiety attacks.
Now that one side of the gum (the outer side of the gum between tooth and the crown) remains swollen and hurts when I eat food - I guess the food gets in between and hurts. My dentist is on vacation for a week, any idea whats wrong here and what could possibly be the solution?
The pain when pressure is applied is reminiscent to shifting tooth pain (from braces) that I experienced years ago. I also have minor tooth pain on all of my upper left teeth. Taking a Motrin relieved the pain last evening, but this morning, the swelling was slightly worse. I've had a cold for a while, accompanied by a cough and sore throat.

Now I am but I think it might be too late. My mom says my gums look a little swollen but my teeth aren't the best. I have a dentist appointment on the 20th. Hope I don't lose my teeth.
Since yesterday I've had a large swollen bump on the labia majora..it's very painful, it hurts to walk or sit. I've been putting warm cloth on it and it seemed to help with the swelling but it's still really painful. I don't really want to go to the doctor because I just don't have the money right now, and I feel like it would be a waste if it's something that I can take care of on my own. Anyone else ever experienced this before? What can I do to ease the pain?
I have the same problem as this red swollen itchy eyelids. Don't have allergies like this. I do wear contacts--why would they cause this? I haven't been wearing the contacts for days now....
If this film is not cleaned off the teeth with proper brushing and flossing the bacteria in the plaque cause an inflammation of the gum tissue called gingivitis. The symptoms of gingivitis are red, swollen, tender, or bleeding gums. If you have any of these symptoms it would be wise to contact a dentist as soon as possible. If left untreated it progresses to periodontitis. Periodontitis occurs when the plaque starts to calcify and become calculus or tartar.
Red, swollen, tender gums Receding gums Presence of pus/abscesses Bleeding while brushing or flossing Teeth that are loose Constant bad breath Change in fit of partial denture Tooth pain or sensitivity Remember, there is NO CURE for periodontal disease; it can only be managed or controlled. The condition will only worsen without proper treatment and home care. Fortunately there are many treatment options available, including both surgical and non-surgical procedures.
I am extremely sore and it feels very swollen at the site and around it and on the top gums a little bit. My jaw hurts. I know that he had a hard time getting it out. It took a long time for him to pull it (it was not loose). I felt my jaw moving around and making noises as he tried to wiggle it out of there. I have other conditions to do with my neck/head that I already feel like crap from and well this just makes me feel that much worse! Any ideas if this should still be like this?
I had swellingAbdomen - swollen Ankle sprain swelling Breast - premenstrual tenderness and swelling Foot, leg, and ankle swelling Gums - swollen Joint swelling Mastoiditis - redness and swelling behind ear Scrotal swelling Swelling Foot swelling for a few days and now has gone away. My filing is now loose and I know that it is going to fall out any time now. I have a bad taste coming from that tooth now. I beleive that I will eventually need that tooth to be extracted.
When I was speaking of trauma, I meant like a blow to the face or biting down on something that might have broken the tooth. If the gums are swollen and red, that actually might tighten the tooth as it swells and grabs onto the tooth more tightly although it would explain the pain when you tap it. I would continue the medication and be gentle on the area. The area should tighten up.
I wouldn't recommend removing the tooth and trying to close the space. Its a fairly large space to close up. You could potentially remove the tooth and place a dental implant though. If there's a furcation involvement, is invisalign or any type of orthodontics recommended? Sometimes the stress from the movement of the teeth can cause problems to the gums/bone area of the teeth.

Is it conclusive? 3. Are swollen gums a sign of ARS? what about loose stools? 4. Am I worrying excessively? Any comments will do!
Now, I've got a dead tooth. (Most likely from playing with tounge piercing) And the gums around the tooth have moved a bit. My front tooth is looser (It's been just a tiny bit loose for few years but now it's worse) And the gum pocket around it is a big bigger that at the other. I've been having a sudden pain from jaws to ears, and also a sudden pain in ears only. I've been so stressed lately, that has caused pain in chest and stuff, but I'm unsure it's related.
Stool is still semi-loose. 1. Does this look like Ars? 2. Do I have to get tested again? 3. Are swollen gums a sign of ARS? what about loose stools? 4. Am I worrying excessively? Any comments will do!
