swollen glands with shingles

I have also been suffering from a very sensitive neck, glands not overly swollen but aching that wont clear up. Could this be just a virus or can herpes come back with these symptoms? I have no hives or sores.

I have reacureing spot on left or right uper but check almost on back. It is about the size of a quarter some times a little bigger. It starts out itchy. Then gets little swollen and red. Like a soar but it cause the muscles under and around the area to hurt ever to lightly rub one of the muscles hurts. It cause acheing around it to. It is not a brute red just a faint redish . I have other symptoms with it but don't know if they co inside. Headache swollen neck glands please please help.

Shingles tend to stay on one side of the body. If it's shingles though, you should be in some severe pain. My mother in law has shingles and it's pretty sad to watch. If it isnt spreading or you aren't feeling pain in other parts of your body it's prob just a cold sore.

My mom is experiencing odd symptoms. She has swollen glands in the neck and cheek and inner ear pain or the left side of her face. She also has pain on the left side of her face and the left side of her tongue running down her throat. When she touches it, it prickles, like there should be an open cut there. There are swollen bumps on the highest part of her cheek bone. Her glands, ear, tongue, and lip hurt the worst after eating or drinking. Any idea what could be causing this?

woke up this morning with swollen glands in my groin .... fever, and i feel weak and dizzy .... HIV test were negative .... what else could this be ? just a virus that needs to run its course ?

My wife then came down with a less severe form of this a week later, she had swollen glands but no rash. Since this time we have both had some swollen glands on and off, her in her neck and me in groin and under arms.

Just last one question, does that itchy rash on neck without any fever or swollen glands after 3 months mean anything?

I was diagnosed with Shingles 3 days ago and have been taking anti viral and pain control medications since then. The rash is from my forehead over my right eyebrow into my head but luckily no blisters below my eyebrow. My eyelid has been gradually becoming more swollen and so it is drooping very badly where I am having trouble with my vision and it feels as though something is irritating the eye surface. I am having alot of pain around the eye and also my ear.

This could be any number of things from a sinus infection, to swollen lymph glands, to stress. Some people grind their teeth and get pain behind their ears from moving their jaw around. If this pain is very bothersome and you are concerned then I would bring it up when you see your doctor next. You could also see an ENT specialist.

There is no pain when I touch it what so ever, I told my father about this and he said I had them as a child swollen glands appearing out of no where with no pain, could this be history repeating its self? Or could this be the first sign of a HIV infection? Please reply back Doc.

Its way too late after the fact to be worrying about these symptoms. Swollen glands usually happen in early HIV. Plus if you havent been diagnosed with swolen glands then you are juts speculating. Stop researching on the internet before you go crazy. Heres the simple solution, go to the local clinic tommorow and get a rapid HIV test, you can be in and out with conclusiove results in under an hour. Problem solved.

To diagnose swollen nodes in early HIV they have to be palpated (felt) by a doctor and swollen lymph nodes due to HIV do NOT have pain.

I got tested for HIV to the 6th and 12th week and the result was negative. Now I have groin lymph and neck glands swollen. May be HIV? I do more testing? Thanks for your answers.

i assume swollen glands in the neck means inflamed lymph nodes? our 6 yr. old was seen today for a fever and sore throat complaint. the ped. said she has a throat infection and swollen glands and prescribed meds. she did check other areas of her body for glands (at least that is what i think she was feeling for). about 7 weeks ago she had the same thing (tho the whole family passed around a fever/infection). should we be overly concerned that she has been sick like this twice in two months?

Swollen glads could be a number of different things. Too hard to pin point what it could or could not be based on limited info. If you ae concernned about it, go to your Dr and get checked out.

hi, i got a sore throat about 2 months ago, the doctor diagnosed tonsilitis, and put me on calvepen, this got rid of the fever symptons but my glands stayed swollen an my throat stayed red, when the fever came back a few weeks later i went back and he put me on augmenten, this had the same effect i went back last week and was put back on calvepen and he did a mono test which came back negative, but said my white blood cell count was high and it looked like i was at the tale end of a virus, somed

Do swollen glands from hiv constantly appear and disappear sometimes for several months or do they only appear during ars. Would heavy alcohol drinking make your hiv swollen glands reappear. Would they be swollen all over the body or just in a few places. Does a hiv rash on the face present itself only during ars or consistently for years afterwards.

Is there reason to be concerned about the swollen glands? Should I take her back to the vet before the next visit 10/15?
