Swollen glands vulva

Common Questions and Answers about Swollen glands vulva

swollen

Two swollen areas on my vulva. They look like blood blisters. One of them actually bleeds a little and the blood looks like it may be slightly pus-y though I'm not sure if that wasn't just due to where the blood was coming from.. I put Neosporin on them after my shower. Have recently become very sexually active (monogamously) and wondered if the added frequency could cause this. They don't hurt really. Color is normal around the vaginal area and there is no discharge or odor. Any thoughts?
Can herpes show as just an irritation on the vulva and without having swollen lymph nodes? Also, what are the chances of getting it from a one time encounter?
I will look and there is nothing there. There is no foul odor, no discharge, no redness, no sweeling, no swollen glands, no bumps or scrapes...nothing!! No pain with urination, no sting, tampons don't hurt. It will begin to ache so bad it will sting in certain areas like a small pinch or a sensation my hair is being pulled. Over the last week my hip and that bone (just to the right of the vaginal opening...dont know the name) is tender. The bone now feels like it's been bruised!
Hello, From your symptoms,it looks like a Bartholin's abscess or cyst. There are glands in the vaginal lips called Bartholin’s glands. These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form. This often causes blockage in the main duct from the gland, and a cyst develops. This is felt as a painless, hard swelling. In such cases, antibiotics may be helpful, or surgical treatment might be required.

For the past year, I have been experiencing burning and stinging in my vulva (which is NOT made worse by peeing), which comes and goes but can last for over a month and is extremely uncomfortable. The area looks normal, and there is no unusual discharge. The last time I had these symptoms was in March - they came on suddenly with a stinging sensation, and lasted for 6 weeks.
There are glands in the vaginal lips called Bartholin’s glands. These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form but they present on the vagina and not the groin. She needs incision and drainage and a course of oral antibiotics as soon as possible. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist.
It does not protrude from the tissue, but when you feel for it, it is there. It is not where the bartholin's glands or any other glands are. I am seeing a doctor in 2 weeks for a pap test and std testing. I am so afraid that I am going to have cancer there and have to have stuff cut out, and then I will never be able to have sex again.
Here's the deal I lost my virginity about 2 or 3 months ago and 5 days ago I was taking a bath and found that my left lip is swollen and is hard as a rock has heat held in it and (EXTREMELY) painful.Im not sure my mom says it might be a boil or ingrown hair down there but I strongly disagree I can not sit down I can walk barely but it hurts bad when I walk. Also I wanted 2 add that my first sexual intercourse I did not bleed at all.
I have many of the same issues you have and from what I gather it all has to do with blocked pores, oil glands and clogged sweat glands in the groin/inner thighs etc. There are treatments for the boils and I'm with you, they are awful! I get the inner thigh bumps as well and I've heard witch hazel is good- but my first boil came right after I cleaned my inner thighs with an organic astringent so...?
About a week ago we saw eachother again for the first time . We have sex now All the time and now my vaginal lips are really swollen. I wouldn't have noticed it unless he said something but now they hurt a little when I touch them, is that just from having a lot of sex? Will it go away? Or do I have to go to the gyno? I'm out at school and i don't have a gyno out here and i fell a little uncomfortable going to see the male gyno on campus!! Please help!!
I tend to get swollen from time to time so I bought the football icepack from walmart you put in your lunch pack. They have all kinds but that shape is perfect that that spot. good luck with the sweeling. I agree, latex allergy, probaly that spermicide. That stuff can really cause some problems with allergies. Good luck.
My boyfriend and i had sex last night and immediately after my vaginal lips became extremely swollen on the left side..i woke up this morning and they are still very swollen..My question is, is this normal?? And when do i expect the swelling to go away..and this was my first time having sex so can that play a factor in this or could it be that i might be allergic to the latex???
I'm calling my doctor today because I finished up the medicine she gave me and I'm still very swollen, the sensitivity went away but obviously having a swollen clitoris and inner labia isn't comfortable! I will ask her about that. However, for it's not the hood that really swollen, it's my inner labia. But my clitorus does feel very hard underneath the hood like you mentioned. As if it was eroused and stayed that way. My doesn't feel sore to touch but it doesn't feel normal either.
my doctor checked me for std's and everything she didnt what it was. Ive now put it down to swollen glands because i cant think of anything else! Does anyone else had more that one at different times?
By the time i got home, i realized that my right vulva was swollen (about 2 times its natural size) and it was very painful too. I ignored it because i thought it was due to reason that he was very big down there. About a week after, i had sex with this same guy and behold, my right vulva was swollen again, but this time it was about 4 times its natural size. I freaked out! It was painful, uncomfortable and i couldnt work or sit normally. Since then i havent had sex.
I have had a swollen clitoris for about one week. At first it was because I masturbated and it was a little swollen, then it gradually got bigger and bigger about the size of a couple of grapes. Moslty on one side of my clitoris. It is now very uncomfortable and accompanied by a yeast infection. I always get small yeast infections by my birth control pills (Errin) but now this is still swelling even more even after my doctor prescribed Diflucan yesterday.
A few days ago I noticed a sore, reddish swollen lump on my left inner thigh, right along my bikini line. It has since gotten larger (about the size of a nickel, and more elongated now). It only feels sore if I press on it or rub against it. It seems like a soft lump that moves around with the skin. Last night I applied a warm washcloth to it for about 30 minutes, which made it feel better. Could this be a swollen lymph node, or maybe an ingrown hair?
If you feel any lumps within the swelling, these might be bartholin's cysts (basically blocked off sebaceous glands within the labia/vulva --these can happen, in my experience, from rough sex--probably the same idea when a person can get acne from roughly touching their face because it breaks the delicate pore under the skin). Just dab some polysporin or something similar on the cyst(s) if you find this is the case.
Whether or she is or isn't spayed, a visit to the vet is in order, but if she IS spayed, the chances that the hardening of the mammary glands is due to tumor growth are a lot less than if she isn't spayed. As far as her vulva being swollen, dogs can still come into heat at 12 years of age, so it's a possibility that she is in season. The hardened mammary glands has me worried, though, so I would call and make an appointment with your vet as soon as you can to get her checked out.
TThe glands produce a fluid that helps protect the tissues around the vagina and provides lubrication during sexual intercourse. A cyst may develop when the duct of one of the glands becomes swollen and blocked and in cases where there is injury, irritation, or infection that may cause a buildup of fluid and swelling that blocks the duct It presents with swelling, tenderness, pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse and swollen, red and irritated labia.

I would recommend that you have this evaluated by your gynecologist for proper diagnosis. Direct clinical evaluation and pelvic examination are essential.

Now my labia and vulva are extremely itchy and inflamed. The labia is swollen on the left side too. Also, my glands in the groin area are swollen. I am aware that a yeast infection can be contracted by the use of antibiotics, but swollen glands too? I have no sores that I can see, or lesions. Please assist in providing an opinion for my peace of mind.
I am also experiencing some mild abdominal discomfort, a fever, sore throat, swollen glands in the throat, mild headache, and aches and pains. At first I assumed that the two were unrelated and I might have a cold. I've had swelling in the vulva and specifically around the vaginal opening for about 5 days. These are all of my symptoms, could someone please tell me what's wrong.
They are infected and may require antibiotics and a large incision and drainage to treat. Clogged sweat glands can occur anywhere, including the genitalia. These sweat glands can be infected. Hidradenitis suppurativa is a condition causes painful clogged sweat glands anywhere on the body that are infected. They leave hard scars. Usually antibiotics and other medications are needed to treat. Fox Fordyce is a condition that causes non tender clogged sweat glands.
Are you sure it is not coming from the anal glands? Take a tissue or paper towel and wipe around the anus only, stay away from the vulva, see if that is the area that has the odor. You can do the same to the vulva area and actually put a covered finger just inside the opening. See if that is the area for sure. Anal gland secretions can have that fishy odor. If you can't tell, give the back end of her a good washing with mild soap, dry and try again.
