I'm almost done with the bottle but the glands are still swollen. I'm very worried. I wondered if it could be more and i'm being very paranoid. I've even though about HIV infections but i took a HIV test in 2005 and it was negative and i've been with the same person and no one else since 2003. Sometimes they appear to be going down and then as soon as i touch them they come back up. Any suggestions. I'm freaking out.
But for now, I've been experiencing some burning pain in my pelvis. I know that swollen glands associated with ARS themsleves are not painful, but is there a general discomfort and pain associated with them? I believe there is some swelling in the area, but I don't remember what they looked like before.
When I felt it, my lymph gland area under my arm pit was swollen, no hardness, just a wide area that is swollen. Is this something any of you has experienced? I am scheduled for just my abdomen and pelvis area for CAT, is this something that the CAT could pick up for under my armpit?...so that I should request that area done also?
I have HPV, as most know from previous posts, but I was wondering if anyone ever experienced swollen lymph glands at the side of the neck due to the body trying to fight off HPV? I have a lump at the side of my neck that my ENT says is most likely a swollen lymph gland, but when I mentioned the HPV to him he said that it would more likely affect the glands closer to the pelvis. I was just wondering if anyone else had something similar to this.
Hello, This kind of bump can be a swollen lymph node,a sebaceous cyst or a boil. lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection along with other numerous causes.Treatment is usually cold compresses, over the counter anti-inflammatory analgesics(pain killers) like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, antibiotics if cause of infection is suspected to be a bacteria and surgical drainage if there is any abscess formation.
My abdomen is half swollen...bigger on one side than the other. 1 1/2 years ago, I had a D&C for heavy bleeding. The device went through my uterus. When they tried to sew it up, the uterus consistency would not allow sewing so they "packed it" to stop the bleeding. A biopsy showed adenomyosis and my ovaries looked normal at the time. I did not have a hysterectomy. The bleeding continued until I got completely off the birth control pills I was taking to control it.
I got concerned because of chest pain but an echo was normal. I have swollen glands (most of which have been there for years) in my neck, armpits and groin. I initially went to the doctor for a gland that popped up overnight in my groin which I happened to see in the mirror. I still have it a year later and it hasn't gotten any smaller. I also have a hard lump just above my belly button that comes and goes. Doctor thinks it's scar tissue.
was hospitalized for tingling in arms and legs last month. ct scan showed showed the swollen lymph nodes in neck abdomen and pelvis......mentioned doing i biopsy. but released me telling me to follow up with the hemo/oncologist. i pray he ok as well.
For this reason we encourage clients who are concerned about swollen glands to check with their own health care providers rather than try to diagnose themselves and, if swollen lymph nodes are present. Thus while there may be a component of anxiety contributing, it seems that if there is real discomfort present it could be due to either musculo-skeletal problems ( a pulled muscle, strained ligament) or represent lymph node swelling.
my doctor checked me for std's and everything she didnt what it was. Ive now put it down to swollen glands because i cant think of anything else! Does anyone else had more that one at different times?
A few days ago I noticed a sore, reddish swollen lump on my left inner thigh, right along my bikini line. It has since gotten larger (about the size of a nickel, and more elongated now). It only feels sore if I press on it or rub against it. It seems like a soft lump that moves around with the skin. Last night I applied a warm washcloth to it for about 30 minutes, which made it feel better. Could this be a swollen lymph node, or maybe an ingrown hair?
simbah I have an understanding what your going through reasently i have had the same simptoms as you but with swollen glands in my groin as well. they did blood tests found nothing later they did a cat scan for stones and found at least one tumor there are more tests to see if i have more then one.
I'm fighting some kind of infection because I've never had glands this swollen. I called my ob because I would normaly wait it out and see if it clears on it's own, but they said it could be a sign of a serious infection and I needed to get into my regular dr today. So now waiting for my 3:15 appointment to see my GP. On top of all that and taking care of a very grumpy toddler I am having bad cramps today.
also to point out have had a sore throat and dry cough now for a few days (week 10) or so
Approximately 1 week as five days after this incident I started experiencing all these symptoms like swollen glands in underarm, neck, jawline, and pelvis, headaches, fatigue, and soreness. I got tested 4 weeks after this incident and the results came back negative.
In the meantime I was sent Thursday for a CT Scan of the Pelvis and Abdomen just to make sure there was not a bowel obstruction due to bowel changes. Well on the report it states "Enlarged 2.3 cm left inguinal lymph node". Is this something that I should be concerned about given my history of pelvic pain and cysts? Will this be something that my OBGYN will be able to inspect during the Laproscope tomorrow? When I swollen or enlarged lymph nodes I automatically think of infection.

I've also had problems with my throat being sore, swollen glands, and a stuffy nose for about two weeks. I don't know if any of these are related. Anyone have ideas about a particular symptom (or all three together)?
I was told it could be something like swollen glands but it's been about 3 months and there hasn't been much change.
Recently had MRI Pelvis Scan, which stated: Hi, Can someone explain what this means: Solitary sub centimeter right sided mesorectal lymph node seen as well as bilateral borderline inguinal nodes with preservation of normal node architecture in keeping with reactive nodes. Also, impression of slight mural thickening of the rectum.
Approximately 1 week and 5 days after I started to experience symtoms like headache, nausea, fatique, the glands in my neck, underarm, pelvis, and what feels like my inner thigh started bothering me, side pain, sneezing. recurring chest pain, runny nose, itchy nose, and slight sore throat these symtoms only lasted for a short period of time I went to the doctor in which he ran a test for mono and strep and the results came back negative.

At the time living in a gutted home under construction, mold? I actually went to the doctor and he said that's it's most likely a virus I'm getting over and that he saw nothing wrong and that one of my glands is more swollen than the other but they will go down, and I did get tested for STD's ad they had me do a urine sample and took blood I just got the results for the Chlymidia, Gonnrhea, and Syphillis and the results were negative, and I have to go in for the HIV because they don't give those results over the phone at all.
im so scared they are missing something that could be more serious like swollen glands or something like that. my doctor said if it were swollen glands they would have showed up in the ct scan and you can palpate swollen pelvic nodes in the pelvis and also wouldnt be sore for 7 months straight..is this true?..
I had unprtoected sex with my boyfrined (who I later found was unfaithful) and about 3 days later I got really sick, with flu like symptoms, very weak, swollen glands in pelvis, heavy watery vaginal discharge, and when I went to the ER they were convinced I had some sort of STD. The doc mentioned my CD4 count was normal, and I was given drugs to treat every possible STD (chlamydia, gon, trich, syph, etc).
Two and a half weeks after the encounter, my submandibular glands became a bit swollen (PCP not concerned), the diarrhea began, and I started to have night sweats (not drenching). At the same time, I also lost my appetite for a few days and dropped about 10 lbs. Seventeen days after the encounter, my PCP did an HIV antibody test and a p24 antigen test (separate tests). Both came back negative. About three weeks after the encounter, I started to get a lot of pain and weakness in my legs.
If so, it is fairly common for people with HCV to develop swollen facial glands, as part of the 'sjogren's syndrome-like' symptoms that can be part of the disease. There are lots of articles on this HCV symptom, and if you use google or yahoo you will learn more about it. The treatment may indeed help ultimately reduce or eliminate this 'lymph node' swelling, especially if you eradicate the virus.
I've had this rash on chest disappears but comes back when it wants to. No swollen glands.
