I was tested for STDs about 6 weeks after the incident (not HIV tested though) and all tests came back negative, Within the past week, the glands in my neck, underarms and right side of my groin have been swollen (I can feel them when I push on them) and I am very tired. I have been researching HIV and now I am terrified that is what it is!!!! I know I should get tested. Any other advice?
I have had swollen glands in my neck, under my chin, a headache and fatigue that comes and goes throughout the day for 3 weeks with no other symptoms. My wife is having similar symptoms as well. Wondering if this is a virus or some other infection that has been going around and if anyone else has had something similar going on.
About five days ago, I noticed one of the glands on the left side of my neck was a little sore and swollen. The next two days, I woke up with a bit of a headache and that heavy feeling in your eyes. I started noticing a bit of a fever - about 99.5. Now for the last two days, I have had up to 100.5 with white spots on my left tonsil and some pressure in my left ear. All the swelling/pressure is on the left side of my head/neck - but there's no pain or soreness in my throat.
Over the next few days, the fever, sweats, fatigue all alleviated with the prescription of penicillin. However the glands in my neck were still raised and often painful, and I had started to feel aching in my groin as well.
At 30 days (potential) post-exposure, I had no sore throat/fever/night sweats anymore, but I felt generally tired and had some swelling in my neck. I had my blood drawn at the GP's office and had a HIV DUO test - which came back negative.
I have had sore, swollen glands in my neck for over 3 weeks. My Dr. agreed they were swollen but ruled out lymphoma as I had had some blood tests but they were done before I had these symptoms. I don't feel it would be lymphoma, but I thought maybe some kind of virus as I am running a low grade fever from 99.3 to 100.3. My "normal" is usually 97. I was taking an antibiotic (Bactrim) for an abscess I had on my buttock caused by a bee sting probably. Another Dr.

They did eventually clear up all my symptoms and also the swelling in the neck throat glands and neck glands went away. Sortly after that about 2 weeks later I noticed I had swollen neck glands again but that only lasted a week then went away completely. Early decemeber I noticed my neck glands were swollen again. That followed by a dry throat and small cold that only lasted about 3 or 4 days those symptoms disappeared but my swollen neck glands continued to say.
I initially thought it was a knot in my muscle, but now I have swollen neck glands with no sore throat.
She is not having any trouble drinking, eating or barking and is acting normal and is not squirming when we are feeling her neck to check the glands. This morning she is still swollen and I gave her another dose of benedryl but I am not sure what this could be caused by. Should we take her to the doctor to get antibiotics or see if the Benendryl takes it away completely? Has anyone heard of or experienced something similar with their dogs?
Hello. I'm becoming increasingly worried about swollen glands in my neck. The swelling is located on either side of my neck, roughly half an inch below the mastoid process (these might be the upper cervical lymph nodes but I'm not sure). They can't be seen, but when I feel my neck they feel hard. I've had them now for about three weeks. My only other symptoms: a slight sore throat that comes and goes, and a very infrequent cough.

I have 1 swollen gland on the left side of my neck.
found nothing abnormal, but had no idea why my glands were enlarged. Cervical glands in neck have been enlarged for 6 months now. Saw another ENT in Feb; she too said she has no idea why my lymph and salivary glands are swollen. I have seen three DRs and none have diagnosed me. And none see any need to further investigate. I feel malaise and fatigue, joints ache, dry mouth, and my jaw and neck has a dull ache sometimes. Should I see another DR?
No they're not symptoms. If you don't have a high fever, you don't have the ARS. Even if you had a high fever, you still most likely did not have the ARS.
Hi, I'm new to all this posting so excuse me if it doesn't make sense, I'm a 28yr old female and I've been suffering from swollen glands which is tender and slightly painful sometimes but not all the time in my neck for over a month now, but also my jaw and ears and behind my ears but no sore throat my doctor is sending me for blood tests but also advised me to see a dentist, I'm starting to worry it could something serious as I like to panic And over think think things since
hi my husband recently developed a lump to the right side of his neck it is slightly larger than pea size and he has no signs of infection ie cold flu or anything that would suggest swollen glands .

i assume swollen glands in the neck means inflamed lymph nodes? our 6 yr. old was seen today for a fever and sore throat complaint. the ped. said she has a throat infection and swollen glands and prescribed meds. she did check other areas of her body for glands (at least that is what i think she was feeling for). about 7 weeks ago she had the same thing (tho the whole family passed around a fever/infection). should we be overly concerned that she has been sick like this twice in two months?
