Common Questions and Answers about Swollen glands menstrual cycle

swollen

Avatar n tn Hi. During the second half of the menstrual cycle (after ovulation and leading up to menstruation), estrogen levels are higher in the woman's body. This results in retention of fluid in the breasts, and in the proliferation of the breast glands. If a mammogram were done at this time, the breasts may appear to be denser and contain areas which may mimic the appearance of a breast lump.
Avatar n tn I am 28 years old. I have never seen a menstrual cycle. When I was 18 years old I was put on premarin. A couple of months later I saw what I thought was my period for like 3 days, after that never saw it again. I haven't benn to a doctor ever again. Am I damaged goods? What should I do?
Avatar f tn like a tissue or bone pain, not a muscle pain and it is all over, not in one localized spot. Sore and tender but not swollen glands and throat, ear ache, stomach upset, fatigue, usually a headache and sometimes I feel short of breath. Just a general feeling of malaise. They are such common symptoms to so many things so it's been hard and my primary is frustrated.
Avatar m tn Anyways, every month or so the glands around the head would get a bit swollen with what looks like a blister or a pimple with blood and puss coming out if irritated. I just want to know what it is as I worry. It comes for a few days, causes a little discomfort and then goes without treatment. It hasnt come back now for 3 months but I am too worried to masterbate again incase it comes back.
Avatar f tn I'm concerned about having herpes. I've never had any type of sores or lesions but I'm still concerned. I've only had 3 sexual partners and never had unprotected sex until with my current boyfriend. I'm worried because for the past three months I've had itching and irritation right before my menstrual cycle. The itching would stop when it ended. I've been to the doctor and the first time she said it was a bacterial infection, the next month a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn 3nmol/L), Luteinizing hormon (3.61mlU/ml, 4th day of menstrual cycle), Follicle-Stimulating hormone (4.19 mlU/ml 8th day of menstrual cycle). These hormones were high: 1. U-fr. Avatar f tn This normal fluid is usually clear or milky white and does not have an unpleasant odor. The normal vaginal discharge is thicker at specific times of the menstrual cycle (at the time of ovulation), during breastfeeding, or during sexual arousal. An increase in the amount of vaginal discharge, an abnormal odor or consistency of the fluid, or pain, itching, or burning that accompanies vaginal discharge can all be signs of infection or other more serious disorders.
Avatar f tn If you were my patient, I would advise you that you probably have a swollen gland related to your recent bout of sinus and ear problems. Glands are usually small and temporarry. If it is a gland, it should resolve within a week or so. You can apply heat if you wish. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Last month, I suspected it was related to my menstrual cycle and sure enough my period just ended and the stye arrived. Could these two actually be related? The stye appears in different places on the eye (most often on the bottom lids) and in both eyes. Last month, it was the inner corner of the left eye, previous to that it was the top inner corner of the right eye (that one was so bad - I went to the dr...he sd warm compress, etc), this month it is in the outer corner of the left eye.
20044847 tn?1539205032 It could have taken months for your body to begin ovulating and menstruating on its own schedule again. Some women experience a delay before their normal menstrual cycles returns. (Especially those who had irregular periods before taking oral contraceptives.) If your menstrual cycle hasn't returned to normal after a few months, your doctor will test your hormone levels, including HCG to check for pregnancy.

Avatar m tn I have had HIV DUO test at 6, 12 and 22 weeks all negative. However no post 7 months exposure my left glands are swollen and seem to have a blockage filled with mucus. Doctor has advised it is inflamation of Salivary glands. My worry is am i having a late sero conversion as internet keep stating that swollen salivary especially parotid gland is an indication of HIV? Please help share your thoughts. I am horrified and very anxious. I have had eye burning and dry mouth along with this.
Avatar m tn - Swollen armpit glands (not individual nodes, but a general swollen feeling) for 4 weeks, starting 23 days post exposure. Is this the normal timeline for acture HIV symptoms, and is this a common one? - Could this be related to another STD anyones aware of? - Does the Oraquick (gum swab) test provide the 80-85% accuracy at 4 weeks some people seem to be claiming, or does this figure only apply to blood tests?
Avatar f tn Do swollen glands from hiv constantly appear and disappear sometimes for several months or do they only appear during ars. Would heavy alcohol drinking make your hiv swollen glands reappear. Would they be swollen all over the body or just in a few places. Does a hiv rash on the face present itself only during ars or consistently for years afterwards.
Avatar m tn i assume swollen glands in the neck means inflamed lymph nodes? our 6 yr. old was seen today for a fever and sore throat complaint. the ped. said she has a throat infection and swollen glands and prescribed meds. she did check other areas of her body for glands (at least that is what i think she was feeling for). about 7 weeks ago she had the same thing (tho the whole family passed around a fever/infection). should we be overly concerned that she has been sick like this twice in two months?
Avatar f tn could the whole mind playing tricks on you relate to other stds and mysteriously have symptoms show up such as swollen glands?
Avatar f tn Its way too late after the fact to be worrying about these symptoms. Swollen glands usually happen in early HIV. Plus if you havent been diagnosed with swolen glands then you are juts speculating. Stop researching on the internet before you go crazy. Heres the simple solution, go to the local clinic tommorow and get a rapid HIV test, you can be in and out with conclusiove results in under an hour. Problem solved.

Avatar f tn hi, was reading all letters, god , i going through the hell at the moment, i lost my husband just 16 month ago, to the cancer, now i m so scared of everything.
Avatar n tn hI; are the swollen glands behind the ears on each side of the neck? or you mentioned cheeks. If so it could be TMJ but if behind your ears it could also be your salivary glands. See, if they become swollen more often. mention it to your doctor. There is a disease of the salivary glands call sjogrens syndrome. I pray you do not have that.
Avatar n tn Swollen glads could be a number of different things. Too hard to pin point what it could or could not be based on limited info. If you ae concernned about it, go to your Dr and get checked out.
Avatar n tn There is no pain when I touch it what so ever, I told my father about this and he said I had them as a child swollen glands appearing out of no where with no pain, could this be history repeating its self? Or could this be the first sign of a HIV infection? Please reply back Doc.
