Do you have any flu-like symptoms? Any low-grade fever or body aches, chills, or cold sweats? Whether you have other symptoms or not, I'd get a referral for an ear nose and throat specialist ASAP and go get it checked out. It's not normal for your glands to be swollen for longer than a couple weeks... Good luck!
FIRST! START YOUR OWN THREAD. DON'T BRING ONE BACK FROM A DAMN YEAR AGO! TWO! WHY DON'T YOU HAVE HER TESTED. IF YOU HAVE HAD SEX MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE PAST MONTH! I'M SURE THERE IS SOME ATTRACTION AND FONDNESS BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU. JUST ASK. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ASK, THEN GET TESTED 3 MONTHS FROM THE LAST UNPROTECTED INCIDENT. IF YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX ON AND OFF IT WILL VOID THE PREVIOUS TIME AND SO FORTH. THAT'S WHY IT WOULD BE BEST FOR YOU TO BOTH GET TESTED.

I'm 46. Female. Beginnings of menopause. I've had a low grade fever (between 99 and 100) for 8 weeks and counting. I've been to doctors/hospital/cardiologist. I was treated for Lyme's even though my test was negative (twice) and I had no obvious signs of Lyme's. 2 weeks of heavy-duty antibiotics did nothing. My CBC is normal. Normal thyroid. Normal chest x-ray. normal EKG (i thought endo carditus, since i had a recent teeth cleaning).
The hematoma is slowly going away but I have had a low grade fever now for 2 almost three months. Not feeling the best. Has anyone experienced this before?
Also, I recently went to the doctor who told me I had TMJ and put me on some tramadol for pain and amoxicillan because he said my glands were swollen. So even through the antibiotic regimen I maintained the fever and other symptoms. Thank you for reading and thank you in advance for your help.
I think it is going away and I start to feel normal then out of nowhere it hits me again. I'm running a low grade fever - can this be cause by allergies. Can this constant post nasal drip be allergies and if so, why am I so sick from it?
Since then he is always compaining his throat feels dry and constintly needs to drink something. In August he had a fever and swollen glands again the hospital diganosed him with lymphitis and again he took a course of antibiotics. A few months ago in September he had a low grade fever (101.0) and complained of a sore throat. I took him to the doc and she did a strep test that came back negative. Now Nov.
and weigh 117, and my weight has been steady for my entire adult life. Three weeks ago,I had a low-grade fever for about one week, as well as swollen lymph nodes (not sure if that's what they were) in my neck. My neck sort of felt swollen and lumpy. I also had a very slight sore throat and occasional runny nose that came and went. I would feel as if I was getting a cold, then the sore throat would just go away. My period was also 2 weeks late, but I did get it.
I have recently driven a long distance and my nodes around my neck started to make my neck ache. I have recently had really bad chills and occassinal low grade fever. I saw my doctor who weighed me, I have lost 6kg's since I was last weighed but I don't weigh myself often anyway. I am getting really depressed now as it is more and more often painful to cross my legs or walk sometimes. My CBC is normal, WBC norml, ESR normal. Allergy blood test normal.
I have intermittent feelings of a low-grade fever. They told me I had a sinue infection and gave me a decongestant (can't remember the name) and amoxycillin. After 4 days on the antibiotic I didn't feel any better and actually was feeling worse so I called the doctor back. This time they called me in a prescription for Biaxin. I have been on the Biaxin for 8 days and I do not feel any better. My neck is so sore and I am living on Ibuprofen.

I've had a swollen lymph gland in my neck for over 3 months, the FNA (biopsy) showed a 'reactive' gland, MRI scan showed no other glands swollen in the neck. Blood test all normal except a slightly raised white cell count - 13.5. But I still have a low grade fever (now for 2 months),I'm loosing weight and have poor apetite. Has anyone any info that could help??
I have been sick for 1 month, swollen glands all around my neck, very sore throat (low), ears pinging and sore to lay on pillow, open mouth only slighly. Have been on a z pack for 5 days, then leviquin 500mg x2 daily for 10 days, then to hospital who gave me an antibiotic shot for strep throat??? then to Barnes where they called me following a CT scan treating me for tonsilitis with 1000 mg of penicillan. No Tonsils since I was 3 and they have not grown back.
Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and sometimes by itching. I suggest you to get these possibilities ruled out from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Yet, I still have not been around him for him to cough or sneeze around me. I also do not have a fever... well, I guess I do have a really low grade fever, it's it's only been maybe 99.1 and 99.5. Hopefully this gets figured out as soon as possible and is nothing serious. Every time a gland swells, no matter if it's from a cold or not, because my uncle had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, I of course freak out and worry.
and this swollen gland happened in 5 weeks before that i had low grade fever 37.1-2 nearly that for two weeks and still today.
I have intermittent feelings of a low-grade fever. 4. Light headed and dizzy. I haven't gone to the doctor and i've been like this for almost 5 days now. My neck is very sore on my left side and very lightly on my right side. It's hard to sleep comfortable at nights and I'm living on Ibuprofen. I take 400-1000 mgs at a time and I feel okay for about 6-8 hours then I have to take it again. I don't actually have a sore throat, it is my neck and my head that hurts.
When I lift up my chin you can see them pop out of the front of my throat (kind of like you get when you are about to get sick). I've only had a low grade fever off and on (99.3) but I also had my shot on Thursday so could be that. Has anyone experienced anything similar? My doc said not to worry right now if I don't have a fever, but wants me to get back in with the infectious disease doctorn next week. Couldn't it just be the interferon? Thanks for the input....
I had a low grade fever. Wouldn't any of this have shown up in my blood work? He said he doesn't think there is anything for me to worry about, but I am freeking out! I am scared to death! Tell me about this, what we are looking for and if it isn't cancer and is sinus related, what then? And if it is cancer, what then?
Well, I still haven't been able to get an earlier carotid artery ultrasound appointment. :-( But my doctor did call and tell me that my blood test (CBC) looked good .... Except he did say that my bad cholesteral was a little high. Which is kind of strange because not only do I take Pravastatin, but I'm pretty much a vegetarian.....So I don't eat much fattening foods.
I have had a low-grade fever every night for 5 nights now that I have been keeping track of it ranging from 99.1 - 99.7 degrees. I get a stabbing headache with it, it lasts a few hours and goes away. I have been getting deep aches in my legs that no matter how much I much massage it doesn't seem to be deep enough to make it feel better - it seems to be worse in the lower half of my left leg. It tingles (pins and needles) on and and off and has been for a few weeks.
I have severe pain in neck ,ears, throat,, head ... but I never knew if grade fever and swollen glands are related. What are they?
But it still hasn't gone any smaller. also I've had a low grade fever for over 2 months, I'm loosing weight and have poor apetite. Has anyone any info that could help??
My 5 yr old daughter has had a low grade temp of 99-100 for 4 weeks. She has swollen glands off an on in her neck, has been tired and always complains her tummy hurts. The dr. did a cbc, cmp, tsh and ebv. Everything came back normal except: rbc 5.05, hemoglobin 14.5, hematocrit 41.8, creatinine .76, a/g ratio 2.6 and the ebv showed old mono they said probably about 6 months ago. The doc considered all these ok but the lab report flagged them.
Gave him some meds for allergies. Since he seems to be getting worse. He has fever that comes and goes..mostly low grade but some are higher. He has body aches like he has the flu and he get headaches normally when he first wakes up. These are really bad and he says they hurt worse when he closes his eyes and try to relax. He gets extremely fatigued. He did not have a cold nor did he have any swollen glands. The doctor did a WBC and a flu test. Did not do a test for mono.
Over the last few weeks, this temp has evolved into a low-grade fever. I am also very tired and have a dull ache on my left side of my upper back. I have seen many physicians and my WBC and SED rate tests came back normal, as well as two mono tests and a Lyme's disease test. A chest and side x-ray came back normal (back wasn't done). EKG came back normal. I also had lumps in my breast on the left side (same side as back pain and swollen gland).
