My glands on one side of my neck and down the middle of my neck have been very swollen and extremely painful since Wednesday. I have not signs of cold, sinus infection or anything. I have no fever but I can hardly swallow. I have been on antibiotics for 4 days now but it hasn't gotten any better. I had no prior sickness - I just woke up with it on Wednesday morning. I went to an urgent care or Wednesday morning and they gave me antibiotics and motrin- 600 miligrams every 6 hours.
Hi! About a week ago the glands in my neck started to swell on both sides of my neck and were very sore then i also have another gland on the base of the back of my head that is swollen and sore. Four [4] week latter go a very mild sore throat with swollen neck gland on both sides of my neck NO fever and felt good during that period. it lasted 2 days and was gone. I have never had swollen gland ever. This seems strange to me even though I am trying to rationalize it. Am I correct that 4 weeks seems a little long for symptoms? No fever is a key of not being infected? swollen glands would not be localized but general throughout the body in ARS? And of course oral very low risk period?

it has now been a month that my neck glands and my throat glands have been swollen steady. it is not sore, the only pain I feel is when they start to grow bigger, when ever i'm chewing and swallowing it will feel like a pinch sometimes, but not always. I went to my doctor early this week, but he's not sure whether to put my on antibotics for 2 weeks or not because he thinks it could either make it better or make me feel worse. I've also been using salt and warm water this whole month.

3) If herpes is a risk, do my symptoms (sore throat, swollen glands) ever appear before or without sores? 4) Should I get checked out at a hospital? What tests should I insist on? Other notes: - I don't appear to have other symptoms yet. No sores anywhere. No abnormal discharge or bleeding. No pain, nausea, burning, or itching. - The guy from Vegas had a sore throat too. I've never had such a risky sexual encounter before - in fact, that was my first one-night stand ever.
I initially thought it was a knot in my muscle, but now I have swollen neck glands with no sore throat.
Hello. I'm becoming increasingly worried about swollen glands in my neck. The swelling is located on either side of my neck, roughly half an inch below the mastoid process (these might be the upper cervical lymph nodes but I'm not sure). They can't be seen, but when I feel my neck they feel hard. I've had them now for about three weeks. My only other symptoms: a slight sore throat that comes and goes, and a very infrequent cough. My doc prescribed me with some antibiotics to see if they help.
and my throat/neck feels tight and swollen. and theres lots of flem stuck in my throat, and it feel like theres a lump in my throat. am i getting better or worse? annd i have this little bump, a pimple like thing on my right tonsil. im so scared i have like glandular or lymph node cancer.
My lymph nodes around my neck were swollen, my gland under my tongue was swollen, my glands under my armpits were hurting, but that faded but I still have a few problems going on. Be careful with antibiotics. If a doc gives you a script for antibiotics, make sure you eat a lot of natural yogurt with live cultures. This helps keep a balance of bacteria and fungus in your mouth and digestive system and keeps you from getting THRUSH. Good luck.
my daughter has swollen glands in her neck both sides and is feeling a little sick she has a little red rash breaking out on her chest area and feeling tired what could it be?
My male golden (almost 6 years old) has two swollen glands in his neck. On either side of his throat. do we need to take him to the vet? He was there in September.
i assume swollen glands in the neck means inflamed lymph nodes? our 6 yr. old was seen today for a fever and sore throat complaint. the ped. said she has a throat infection and swollen glands and prescribed meds. she did check other areas of her body for glands (at least that is what i think she was feeling for). about 7 weeks ago she had the same thing (tho the whole family passed around a fever/infection). should we be overly concerned that she has been sick like this twice in two months?
A few days later the gland in my neck and one in my groin was swollen on the same side. sometimes i also have aches in various areas. Is this serious. I went to the doctor and i was give antibotics for a possible infection. I'm almost done with the bottle but the glands are still swollen. I'm very worried. I wondered if it could be more and i'm being very paranoid.
These days, I found pain swollen glands in my neck, behind my ear and under groin. today, I went to see the doctor, he confirmed the swollen glands. And he also found I have sore throat, I dont feel anything about it. All the swollen glands cannot be seen by appearance. I dont have fever, no diarrhea, no weight loss. I also did the normal blood test, which showed WBC, RBC and all others are good. I am still concered abou HIV infection. I am wondering the risk of being infected by HIV.
i went like 4 months after surgery to a ear nose and throat doctor which at this time only one side was swollen. doctor done a exray said he seen nothing in there and that i was fine no worries.. now a year later both sides are firly large in size and both are very painful.
Ie wouldn't it be likely to have swollen glands in his neck and groin as well as arms? Are lymph nodes usually detectable by touch? Sight? We cannot feel any individual 'nodes' just a general noticable swelling and pain beneath the arms. There have been no other symptoms that we can think of. Are swollen glands/nodes also associated with other std's?
I get swollen glands in my throat often. My ears hurt too, then it goes away. The doctor thinks it's part of fibromyalgia. I'm not saying you have that, but you can check it out. That would be a rheumatologist. Do you have any joint or muscle pain?
it is very painful and I find it difficult to swallow. I have painful swollen glands around my face and neck. If last time is an indication, the doctor reported that my throat looks mildly inflamed. I also get ulcers in my throat when this happens. My sinuses feel clear and I don't have any cough or irritation which would be associated with a postnasal drip.
it is uncomfortable now for 3 months to wear necklaces or anything around my neck. I also have afternoon hoarseness with a feeling of being very dry in my throat no matter how much liquid I drink. Now I start to get relief somewhat when I get my Girl thing. Of course I have looked up my symptoms and they go anywhere from nothing to cancer. it just baffles me. Does anyone know if hormones can bring this type of thing on? I apply ice / heat. Rubbed oil and massage it. I still get it.
Hey guys, maybe someone can help me with this, about a week and a half ago i found this lump in my neck rught under the jaw towards the neck, its been sore and swollen, the pain seems to traven down the right side of my neck a little bit, the left side hurts ocassionaly but i cant seem to find a similar lump there.
so 4 days after that encounter I began to get a sore throat and swollen glands and tonsils in my neck (one side in particular)with some discharge from tonsils. My throat is not really that sore and has gotten a bit better, however the gland on my left side is still really swollen and tender (its about 3/4 of an inch large). I havn't felt like I have a temperature at all.
My issue is that the 2 glands on the sides of my throat are swollen, the one inside my chin is swollen, something small and round below my left ear is swollen and something on the outside of my right ear is also swollen. I do not have a fever and I have not vomited at all, which is symptoms of most disorders that have to do with swollen nodes. They do hurt and actually the one below my left ear itches.
The glands in my neck (under my jaw) have been swollen for about 4 months now. They have never really hurt. But i've been getting sick (mainly just symptoms of a cold. Runny nose, post nasal drip or a headache a few times. And once i had a sore throat) off and on the whole time. Though, when i do get better i still have mucus that i'm hawking up throughout the day (its usually clear or bright yellow). I've been given antibiotics twice but it mainly just takes away my headaches and stuff.
I first saw my doctor in April with swollen glands in my neck I have seen him 3 times since, today being the most recient. The swollen glands NEVER go down. They don't always hurt but it is getting more frequent and severe. My doctor said today that we would try one more antibiotic and steroid pack for 1 week and for me to return for a follow-up that if the "KNOTS" are still there in one week he wants to do a scan.
The prednisone helped my swollen tonsils, but the glands in my neck keep getting worse. No ibuprofen helps the pain of it, which is causing me a lack of sleep. Is there anything else I have possibly overlooked? I'm not exhausted all the time at all. my entire neck is killing me and behind my ears and head, occasionaly my jaw and armpits too. The headaches are barely managable and I am not sure what else it could be.
Hi my symptoms are basically: 1. sore neck - my glands are swollen and my neck is actually sore to touch, it hurts to turn my head and when I yawn, cough or sneeze I get a sharp pain in my neck. 2. I have pressure in my ears, my neck, and had a few headaches. 3. I have intermittent feelings of a low-grade fever. 4. Light headed and dizzy. I haven't gone to the doctor and i've been like this for almost 5 days now. My neck is very sore on my left side and very lightly on my right side.
