Avatar f tn ve been suffering from swollen glands which is tender and slightly painful sometimes but not all the time in my neck for over a month now, but also my jaw and ears and behind my ears but no sore throat my doctor is sending me for blood tests but also advised me to see a dentist, I'm starting to worry it could something serious as I like to panic And over think think things since I'm at mother, does it sound like it could be dental related to anyone.?
Avatar n tn I have also had constantly swollen glands at the back left side of the neck and near my left armpit since fall. The upper part of my neck swells up a lot, too, sort of like a huge double-chin running from one end of the jaw to the other. My throat feels tight, like everything inside is swollen and pushing against each other. It doesn't feel like strep and doesn't really hurt. I have been on two different antibiotics -- cephalexin and ???
Avatar f tn I have been battling with my throat, that all to familiar lump feeling, clearing the throat, neck and jaw pain and swollen glands and I even had voice issues since 2009 and eventually got diagnosed with Chircopharengeal muscle dysfunction. I used to sing on a freelance basis (Old-age homes were my favourite!) and then my voice coach noticed that I could not reach my normal ranges and I had a consult with ENT that noted my pharynx and larynx (voice box) had acid damage.
Avatar m tn The glands on my neck just under my jaw line are visibly pulsating on both sides. I have seen plenty of posts about swollen glands but not about pulsating ones. Would the pulsating possibly be a sign of infection like swollen glands are? Any help with this would be great.
Avatar n tn I had a heavy cough about 3 weeks ago that has since faded. Since then, I have experienced moving discomfort from my left ear, to the angle of my jaw on the left side, and now stiffness / general discomfort in my neck under my jaw. My throat is pink, but tonsils are swollen. The left side of my tonsil wall is wavy, instead of the normal smooth. The top of one of the "waves" on the left side has a small white crest that looks like a cancor sore.
Avatar f tn Any ways fast forward to spring 2016 I noticed I had one tonsil larger than the other and some swollen glands under my jaw near this tonsil but not on the other side. I waited it out and then caught a BAD case of Tonsilitus on both tonsils and then in summer of this year I caught two mild cases of Tonsilitus again but only on my left side.
Avatar n tn She is not having any trouble drinking, eating or barking and is acting normal and is not squirming when we are feeling her neck to check the glands. This morning she is still swollen and I gave her another dose of benedryl but I am not sure what this could be caused by. Should we take her to the doctor to get antibiotics or see if the Benendryl takes it away completely? Has anyone heard of or experienced something similar with their dogs?
767148 tn?1257302551 Could it be my salivary glands that are swelling? right in front of ears, and behing jaw?\ with pain and pressure in eys, jaw and ears. Sometimes it seems there is a stringy substannce along my cheaks. Should i see a dentist, or an ear/nose/throat doctor? Any other possibliliies what that could be about?
Avatar n tn hI; are the swollen glands behind the ears on each side of the neck? or you mentioned cheeks. If so it could be TMJ but if behind your ears it could also be your salivary glands. See, if they become swollen more often. mention it to your doctor. There is a disease of the salivary glands call sjogrens syndrome. I pray you do not have that.
1683208 tn?1305124695 you have lymph glands in the same area on either side of your neck below your jaw. if it is your lymph glands one or both can be swollen for several different reasons, most commonly when you have allergies but also when you are sick or have an infection. DO NOT push or poke and glands on any part of your body!
Avatar f tn This can cause pain in whole of head and neck region. Glands in neck and temporal bone pain can be due to this. I would suggest you consult a dentist and an ENT specialist soon. Maybe your PVP can arrange it. If there is no problem in the teeth and ear, then there is a chance that you have compression of cervical spinal nerves due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc.
Avatar f tn and some times i have swelling at the jawbone area with pain, itching, sometime a yellowish strand of what looks like infection that comes from the inside of my jaw, when this swelling and pain occurs at my jaw.i was once told i have stones in my saliva glands when i went to the emergency room with swollen glands under my tongue and that same yellow looking discharge that i see when my jaw swells, could this all be related or could this be a more serious problem.
Avatar n tn The prednisone helped my swollen tonsils, but the glands in my neck keep getting worse. No ibuprofen helps the pain of it, which is causing me a lack of sleep. Is there anything else I have possibly overlooked? I'm not exhausted all the time at all. my entire neck is killing me and behind my ears and head, occasionaly my jaw and armpits too. The headaches are barely managable and I am not sure what else it could be.
Avatar m tn My glands in my neck (just under jaw bone and down side of neck) have had a dull ache for the last week or so. i havent acquired a sore throat and feel fine in myself although sometime have had headaches as well. Today the right side of my groin has started a dull ache as well...could these be connected due to the glands in the areas... no other glands appear to aching (armpit and stomach) I have just been taking ibuprofen for the time being.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone, I've noticed for the past day now that right under my jaw (left side) and right above my neck, I feel a bump under my skin. I'm not sick or anything, I'm not allergic to anything, or I'm in college and doing the same routine every day. I can sort of feel it, but it doesn't hurt at all. I just googled "bump under jaw" and came across this article: http://www.webmd.
Avatar m tn The glands in my neck (under my jaw) have been swollen for about 4 months now. They have never really hurt. But i've been getting sick (mainly just symptoms of a cold. Runny nose, post nasal drip or a headache a few times. And once i had a sore throat) off and on the whole time. Though, when i do get better i still have mucus that i'm hawking up throughout the day (its usually clear or bright yellow).
Avatar f tn I would go to the ER due to the swelling going in to the glands in the neck. It sounds like she has celulitus. Do not put any heat on her face, you can use ice. I hope she feels better.
Avatar m tn left neck swollen cheek, swollen headaches and ear pain dizziness and fatigue.
Avatar n tn My problem is this, and took 3 months with swollen glands in the neck and jaw, I have sore groin and I have a white coating on the tongue that bothers a lot more after dinner, in addition I have a strange pain in the neck but not always, sometimes alone but sometimes will cause me severe headaches and also feel a throbbing in the body. If HIV negative tests ruled out infection, could be another sexually transmitted disease.
Avatar n tn Although symptoms vary between patients, you need to see if you have swollen lymph glands (located on the sides of your neck below jaw), red bumps around genitals, fever genital discharge? You might want to see a physician and know that June is FREE HIV month and you can get tested for free. Check your health department in your area for locations and times.
Avatar n tn My wife had an infected tooth and now she has a swollen gland under her jaw bone. Any ideas?
975514 tn?1324997938 My glands are always swollen under my jaw, which makes my neck and ears hurt all of the time. Would this have anything to do with my thyroid? Should I bring this up to the Dr. at my endo appt. next week or will I sound like a weirdo if I do?
Avatar m tn I have small lump on my upper right neck ( 1 inch below my jaw), oval shape 0.25 x 0.7 inch , it's not noticeable visually. but if I put my hands on it I can feel the lump. It doesn't bother me at all. I have been having this, I think, for 7-8 months (maybe more). I don't feel anything different. I thought this was a swollen glands. I have a slight hypertension, otherwise I consider myself healthy.
659608 tn?1318289366 It is however more than possible that you could have an infection in your jaw, say, from an impacted or infected wisdom tooth. Tooth pain can often make the ear and neck hurt as well (just as an ear infection can make the teeth hurt...). There is also the possibility that there is nothing wrong with you dentally either and you are suffering from neuralgic pain.
Avatar n tn My mom is experiencing odd symptoms. She has swollen glands in the neck and cheek and inner ear pain or the left side of her face. She also has pain on the left side of her face and the left side of her tongue running down her throat. When she touches it, it prickles, like there should be an open cut there. There are swollen bumps on the highest part of her cheek bone. Her glands, ear, tongue, and lip hurt the worst after eating or drinking. Any idea what could be causing this?
