Starting around Thursday Feb 18th at 11pm, I noticed my feet were swollen. The swelling is mainly on the top and the sides of my foot. It ends right around my ankle/sock line. There was no pain, no discoloration, and no scratches for infection. I went to the ER because I was scared. They ran blood tests and a urine test, and EKG. My kidney/liver levels were fine, as was my urine. The EKG was also normal.
For one, most people have trouble with their ears when in an airplane. The pressure difference has an effect on anybody. For another, if you have a sore throat and swollen lymph nodes, you MUST try to see a doctor. Try to keep your mind open, and don't try to diagnose yourself. Only a doctor can diagnose and treat an illness. Lots of juice, clear liquids, and try to avoid caffeine and sugary things. Vitamin C is important.
I saw this question posted and I didn't see the response. I'm 36 years old and work at my computer at home. I also have a problem when I fly and when I sit for too long at the computer. My legs and feet get very swollen and on the airplane it becomes very painful. I'm at a normal weight and height, I don't have any blood pressure problems - low actually usually between 90/60 or 120/70...
I would have the lesions biopsied to rule out other unlikely diseases. it is difficult to get a fungal infection on the hands b/c we tend to wash them regularly.
It sounds like he may have pemphigus vulgaris.
I'm not sure 100% I would talk to your ob because after certain amount of weeks I think you need the okay from dr before they will let you fly. I'm not 100% on that though it's just what I've heard. You could probably call the airline place and ask them there policy.
my son has swollen ankles, knees, feet, and elbows along with a rash on both his calfs. he complaints of a lot of pain and can hardly walk if he tries he kind limps with his legs bent inwards. he has not had a fever just this and he is eating right . if he tries to walk he cries , what can be wrong with him?
Heat, humidity, extra weight, being on them for long periods of time, can cause swollen feet! I'm dealing with this right now too!! Drink plenty of water n keep them elevated whenever possible!!
Hello I'm 18w5days its our first day with weather in the mid 80s and my feets have got swollen I have been inside pretty much all day so I really don't no what's going on does any one have any suggestions I would really appreciate some feed back I have to work tonight
Talk to your doctor. My were swollen & really hurting. I teach, so I'm on my feet most of the day. My doctor prescribed compression stockings. They are a little annoying & difficult to get on, but they are working wonders.

My feet are really swollen now. I'm 37 wks. It's water, your hormones, etc., it'll go away. It doesn't help that I'm on my feet all day @ work... but I'm leaving soon. It's normal, don't worry.

Your symptoms are suggestive of frost bite or trench feet.They are common in winter outdoor enthusiasts. Avoid tight-fitting clothing on feet. Keep them dry.Wear clothing in multiple layers and avoid perspiration by using adequately ventilated clothing.
Also increase fluid and caloric intake in cold weather.
If symptoms persist then pls consult a physicisn and start with vasodilator drugs.

So i am 37 weeks and 5 days! And crazy as it sounds i JUST had my baby shower this weekend and that night my feet puffed up like never before! I was so surprised! And ever since they haven't came down! A guest at my baby shower mentioned to me that swollen feet is a sign of labor?? Its my first time ever hearing that. So im asking and wondering if its true?? All though i would love for it to be true! I want my body back!
I'm 39 weeks this Friday, and for the past 2 weeks my feet have been swollen and elevating them doesn't help. I'm not on my feet constantly. I know swelling is a sign of pre-eclampsia and I googled it and I also have other symptoms of it as well. Im.scared to death thinking I might have pre eclampsia, or am I just over thinking it?
