i don't know what to do sunday i went to the beach and i got a really bad sunburn on my face and now it's swollen y eyes are all swollen , forehead, and cheeks.

I went camping for a few days and I got a really bad sunburn on my face. When I got home my face was starting to swell and the next day my eyes were a lot swollen shut. It was terrible.

we were at a outdoor concert this weekend and my wife got a little sunburned. her face was barely red. now, her forehead and eyes are swollen to the point that she can't see out of her eyes. now, i have put some time in researching her prob. i am ready for some advice. i just need to know if there is some way to take the swelling down. this is the third day.

Okay, I was being stupid for two hours and I went outside without sunscreen (go ahead, laugh, I know you want to), I got the worst sunburn I have ever had in my life on my shoulders and i cant sleep and it hurts really bad does anyone know any home remedies to get rid of this, with herbs possibly? I am dying from agony!!!!!!!!

5 hours and my face was sunburnt even after using 15spf and two days later my upper right eyelid is swollen alot with bags under both eyes and a funny kind of numbness on the right side of my face. It is now July 8th and my face still seems puffy and when I press on my face in the cheek area you can feel the swelling in the eye area. I have been taking ibuprofren 400mg every 4 hrs since yesterday. Is there anything else I can do and how long does this last?

I also noticed some yellow stuff on my shirt where my sunburn was? I have been putting aloe on my sunburn, and also taking ibuprofen for the pain. But I've never been burned this bad, and I am not sure what I should do?

My ankles are so swollen that they're about 3 times as wide as the widest part of my feet. My legs are also severely swollen and hard.

I got a major sunburn on face so i put vaseline (aloe vera) and nivea cream over my face, then in the shower some of it dripped into my eyes from the water, it stung like hell, eyes were bloodshot/red but i rinsed them both for five minutes. t bother me that much last night, aside from my feet which got completely swollen. even my legs got swollen. i have been laying in bed with them propped on a pillow basically all day and the swelling is going down very slowly.. but my feet still look pretty bad.. i think the sunburn is affecting them.. and today suddenly my back, chest, and shoulders are extremely irritated... i don't know what to do.. they hurt so bad! but it's mostly only if i have to move.. but still very irritating.

I ended up with deep second degree sunburns from mid thigh all the way down and onto my feet. My feet were so swollen I had to go barefoot and my ankles were 3 times there normal size. I had huge blisters and could not walk at all for a while. When all the blood rushed to my legs it hurt so bad. What is this and why did this happen? Have stopped drinking altogether for over a week now, but noticed that one of my ankles were a bit swollen yesterday, in an area where I got a sunburn on weekend...constant back pain, but massage therapist claimed I had knots on back muscles, but still just doesn't feel right...im on keppra for seizures, but otherwise healthy...run everyday, do ab exercises for 20 mins on weekdays (leg lifts), not overweight, don't eat crap, most veg/fruits...going for another blood test in 2 weeks....

The pain, dryness and light sensitivity is pretty much gone but is it common with this condition to feel like there is something on the front of the eye? It is actually throwing off my depth perception when I have both eyes open. Will a "sunburn" to the cornea create this feeling and if so how long does this last?

3 years ago i was playing in the sun for a very long time and the temperature was very hot ( live in uk ). a day later i had very red cheeks then i had little swollen face then i looked like a different person. every summer ever since i have had the same problem. how do i get rid of it!! ive put lots of ice on my face, lots of suncream (garnier 30 fps) ,tried to stay out of the sun. but because i am a a sikh therefore i have a turban i will not be able to wear a hat.

While driving in a convertible for an hour or so, I noticed that the sun was beating down between my sunglasses and my brow. I have not had any pain, or bloodshot eyes, but I have felt a bit dry and teary. How easy is it to sunburn the retina? What is the prognosis for this type of exposure typically? A week ago I went kayaking and apparently didn't use enough sunblock. I rarely go out in the sun but I have very fair skin. I wound up getting burnt on the front sides of my arms and legs and the tops of my feet. My arms and legs are now pretty much just a tan still peeling a bit, but the tops of my feet (mostly the left one) are still red in the middle and discolored (almost purple) where the rest of the sunburn was.

For the last week my eyes have been swollen both top and bottom when i wake up, but through out the day it goes down a bit and then occurs again when i wake up in the morning. i was wondering what could be going on ?

I checked the archives, could not find anything on swollen eyes. My eyes have pools of fluid in spots around them , I have tried tea bags cucumbers, hot and cold packs. I have stoped any makeup, I am assuming this is some kind of effect. I had to start on thyroid meds, this is when this started, but I do not see this on the side effects Anyone else experiencing this sympton?

Woke up yesterday and both eyes were swollen, my eyelids and big puffy bags under my eyes. I have also been dizzy when I bend over. Very unusual for me. What do you think it could be?
