Common Questions and Answers about Swollen eyes itchy skin

swollen

Avatar n tn I have a recurring condition that affects both of my eyes (more the right than the left). It begins with a burning sensation, then I awake in the morning with swollen, itchy eyes that are red on my eyelids and below my eyes almost to my cheek bones. I am left with scaley, sagging skin above and below my eyes, and bags of fluid that collect under my eyes right above my cheek bones. My skin responds as though it has been burned by crusting over and collecting fluid.
Avatar n tn Personally I would not recommend using hydrocortisone cream near your eyes. The skin around the eyes is already thin and hydrocortisone creams thin the skin so care needs to be taken when using this type of cream. It appears that you may have an allergic reaction to something. I would suggest you see your doctor for a correct diagnosis and for him to prescribe the appropriate medication for you. In the meantime do not use any make ups or eye make up.
Avatar f tn I have itchy swollen eyes quite often they swell up really sore and watery, I'm not sure what brings it on and it can happen any time of the year and they are really sensitive once I knock they or get anything inside one it flares up.
Avatar f tn Acid reflux, back pain, swollen ankles and feet, itchy skin, leaky breasts, headaches, side pains, cramps (not painful but very annoying), frequent urination, and worst of all INSOMNIA -_-
Avatar m tn I now have what appears to almost look like welts not right under the eye they are lower almost near the cheekbone and both eyes have a swollen type blotch and they feel like dry skin on top of the redness when you run your finger over them and it is itchy sometimes. The skin on my eyelid is also scaly dry and red and itchy.
Avatar f tn A few months ago my eyelids became swollen and since then I have been looking closely at my facial skin. I had an eye twitch which lasted about 3 weeks and stopped. Yesterday the twtich started again and the skin above both my eyelids but below my eyebrows have started to look weird. They are kind of drooping a bit and looks like a patch of little crevasses, so its kind of swollen. The area isn't painful to touch or itchy, just looks strange.
Avatar n tn around day 4 I noticed that the skin under my eyes had become tender, red and slightly swollen. Then appeared wrinkled and puffy. I am 47 so although I do have some wrinkles .... this looks different ...droopy sort of and puffy at the same time. Slightly itchy as well. Do you think this is from the antibiotic? I have been finished with it for 2 days now. My eye sight is fine.

Avatar f tn Nearly 3 weeks ago I awoke with extremely swollen eyes. (So swollen that even the bridge of my nose was larger than normal) The swelling subsided (did not ever fully go away) but my eyelids remained itchy, red and warm to the touch. A few days later my eyelids seemed to be ok other than extremely dry skin in the corners and upper brow area. My lids have remained slightly itchy since that day with a flare up last night and into today.
Avatar f tn I used a washcloth compress to get the swelling down and the eyes continued to be red and swollen and itchy and I noticed little blisters kind of like what I get when I wear cheap jewelry and get a chemical reaction from the metal. I have tried some Zatidor eyedrops-antihistime twice daily. It does seem to help a little inside the eye (very little).

Avatar f tn Just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced swollen glands and itchy eyes when taking trileptal? I've only been on it now for 3wks and am currently on 75mg along with 375mg of Keppra twice daily. I don't have a rash but am wondering if this is just a cold or side effect from meds. I called the nurse yesterday at docs office they suggested being checked out by PMD, any suggestions? I dont have a fever or any other symptoms? Thanks for the feedback.
Avatar f tn Hi, This is a condition called hives.Hives are red, itchy welts or swellings on the skin that often come in clusters. They sometimes have a light red or pale center surrounded by a darker red area around the borders -- a marking resembling tiny bull's eyes -- but may simply look like large red circles. In doctor speak, hives are known as "urticaria." Hives can appear anywhere on the body, cropping up either in one small area or covering large patches of skin.
Avatar n tn they get really swollen and the skin above and under them gets really really dry. They also get really itchy, but i use allergy eye drops to help that. However, my eyes still continue to get swollen and dry. I am currently taking Allegra-D and Singulair for my allergies. My doctor had prescribed me to Pata-a-Day Eye Drops as well, but they became too expensive and weren't working very well, so i switch to an over the counter brand. My medicine is obviously not working very great either.
Avatar f tn s spring and I have a dog and a cat) so my eyes have been swollen for a majority of the last 6 weeks. Antihistimanes don't really work all that effectively, only solving the problem for an hour or two, and ive tried zyrtec, benadryl, XYZAL (oral solution), and cloderm (1% cream). Could my derm be right? Could that cause this? Is there a name for that? What else could be the problem and what could fix it? This has been going on for over 3 months and Im desperate for an answer!
Avatar m tn not a good product. mine got irritated and got worst same here @kerokero "it looked swollen, itchy itchy itchy, red"..
Avatar f tn My eyes ever since I can remember go red and itchy so I rub them then they go all swollen with a what looks like a film of jelly under them. When I wake up I have a thick green mucus in my eye under my bottom lid but they are always leaking like my tear ducks don't have a stop tap so I can't really wear make up to cover the darkness under my eyes from after they have been swollen.
Avatar f tn I just wanted to note that noe my whole face is swollen my eyes are almost swollen shut! I'm getting ready to go to the clinic... This is scary.
Avatar n tn I went to sleep and later i woke up with swollen face and puffy eyes. i have also had a very itchy neck which i have tried not to itch. i have tried natural anti histamines to try and help. Avatar m tn My chiropractor suggested it may be some food allergy, i was looking through a few more of my symptoms which are dark circles under eyes(maybe from lack of enough sleep but idk), itchy skin (my nose itches a lot), puffy eyes(every morning when i wake up my eyes are puffy), swollen glands(those one under my jaw always seem to be a little swollen), and ibs can all be from food allergy. hmmm maybe i need an allergy test.....
