Common Questions and Answers about Swollen eyes itchy skin

swollen

I have a recurring condition that affects both of my eyes (more the right than the left). It begins with a burning sensation, then I awake in the morning with swollen, itchy eyes that are red on my eyelids and below my eyes almost to my cheek bones. I am left with scaley, sagging skin above and below my eyes, and bags of fluid that collect under my eyes right above my cheek bones. My skin responds as though it has been burned by crusting over and collecting fluid.
While living in the dorm, she came dowm with what I thought were allergies. The main sympton was swollen itchy eyes with flakey dry skin. Nothing seems to work, claritin, or benedryl. Her skin around the eyes and on the lids is flakey. Her eye lids are very swolen. She is exhausted. The only time it was significantly improved, was during the fall break, when she came home. Someone Help!!!
The swelling is especially bad under my eyes, and sometimes I have what looked like under-the-skin blisters. The skin around my eyes, especially underneath, seems to lose every bit of moisture and draw up, making me look about a hundred years old (I'm 61). I've tried all sorts of creams, but the only thing that seems to give me relief is vaseline.
I have the same issues as everyone else. Itchy, swollen lips with a rash often accompanied by swollen eyes. I visited the dermatologist twice this week. The first time, he thought it was a peanut allergy, so I was put on anithistimines; however, while on antihistimines I developed swollen eyes and lips! Upon visiting the doctor again, I was prescribed a topical ointment for the lip area. The doc said that this condition is tricky to diagnose.
My eyes are constantly swollen, dry, itch, and hurt. I have tried regular moisturizing drops to see if that helps but nothing seems to work. My skin is also very itchy on my face, scalp, and body. My throat feels swollen and I am short of breathe often. I have tried antihistamines without much success and usually bad side effects.
I used a washcloth compress to get the swelling down and the eyes continued to be red and swollen and itchy and I noticed little blisters kind of like what I get when I wear cheap jewelry and get a chemical reaction from the metal. I have tried some Zatidor eyedrops-antihistime twice daily. It does seem to help a little inside the eye (very little).
Hi. My mom got a dry and itchy skin on and off. Just this week, she got it again but with swollen eyes. She went to the doctor and told her that it is mild and nothing to worry about. The doctor she said that her eyes got infected because of the allergy caused by pollution and dust. She gave my mom medicines for allergy but seems not to work. Whenever she put them on her face, she feels a burning like sensation and an itchy feeling. Do you think it is natural?

Nearly 3 weeks ago I awoke with extremely swollen eyes. (So swollen that even the bridge of my nose was larger than normal) The swelling subsided (did not ever fully go away) but my eyelids remained itchy, red and warm to the touch. A few days later my eyelids seemed to be ok other than extremely dry skin in the corners and upper brow area. My lids have remained slightly itchy since that day with a flare up last night and into today.
i have been getting a burning itchy swollen face for a few months it looks like a sun burn i havent used anything different it swells around my lips the most then it feels all real tight itchy and burns
Even though I stopped using both products, the rash got worse and now my eyelids above and underneath my eyes are swollen. Additionally, my eyes are very red, a little itchy, and there are tiny red bumps. What product do I need to take, in order for this to go away as soon as possible. Is there any cream or medication? A few months ago, I was using all proactive product and a similar thing happened. also, it took a really long time to go away.
but certain parts became itchy and red- under toes, sides of feet, a little on top- no ankle swelling or redness. These itchy red areas become hard and painful to walk, the outbreaks last about 24-48 hours. The first time this to both feet and I passed it off to wearing new and cheap high heals for over 13 hours the day before (I teach). That day I also had some trouble with a family member who was staying with me- so I felt stress may have been a contributor?
few weeks ago I had a serious allergy attack & my eyes, lips were swollen & I had rush to emergency to get Piriton & Hydrocortizone shots to get relief. Now I'm having this allergy attacks almost every day with red patches in my arms, face, legs with itchy & swelling. I got medicine from a dirmotolegist ( Allegra 360mg,Loratadine,Zyncet 10mg with Vitamin A) & still continuing same. My problem is I'm getting these attacks while I'm taking these drugs!
Also I experienced what seemed lilke really dry skin in the buttocks and inner thigh area. I have also been itchy all over, my eyes, arms, but no visible sign of anything. I went to see a dermatologist who said it could be just irritation, and not to worry but he did say the hair folicules were little raised in the area. I have been feeling really fatigued lately and dizzy. what could this rash be?
--which is good news, but this swelling around the eyes is serious. (It's not IN his eyes at all, it's the skin around---I think I made that clear.) Anyhow, I did buy a cold pack that he can wrap around his whole head, to cool his eyes, and I don't dare put any kind of cream or anything else on the skin, but I feel so bad for him.
I have been taking the medication but have noticed that everytime I feel a stressful situation coming on my eyes start to itch and pretty soon they are very swollen both on the lids and under my eyes. I really don't know whether to go to an allergist or dermatologist. I was prescribed medication to control my anxiety but it does not seem to be working. Anyone have any ideas of what may be wrong? Please help!
like the last question that i read, with no anwswer, my ears are hot and itchey (mianly red and hot) and my face feels really itchy and FEELS swollen, although there is just mostly a bit of swolleness around my eyes (as if i am tired).... what can this be? is there something I can do about it NOW...??? something that will give relief? my face hurts and just feels really uncomfortable..... thanks....
My husband age 59 has been experiencing burning, prickly itchy skin at random times but mostly during the evening. He has the sensation of pins and needles pricking his skin from the inside out. This mostly occurs on his arms or legs or back, but not concurrently. First it was his legs then it moved to his back and currently the problem is on his arms. The sensation will be symetrical, i.e. both arms. The prickling turns into severe itching with sensations of pin pricking pain.
A couple of weeks ago I put a Clinique product on my face after not using it for three months and now suffering with red swollen burnt itchy skin on my face. I no longer use any Clinique products. I tried using the sensitive line from La Roche-Posay but even that irritates me a little now. I now wash my face with water and put either my son's Zincofax cream on my face or Nivea cream (the light version that comes in white jars). My face/neck is still almost unbearably itchy.
Two weeks later my thighs looked about the same and now my scrotum was very swollen, very itchy, and red. I went to a different dermatologist and he gave me Protopic cream and a prescrip for antibiotics (He also said to continue using the Ketaconazole as well). The first night I applied the Protopic to my scrotum the only thing I can say is it was the worst discomfort I have ever felt in my life... my scrotum was on fire! Ice was the only thing that would help it.

I get a rash that looks like ringworm on my rib and back area, smaller rash like bumps on the back, stomach, hands and they are both extremely itchy. I also get swollen feet and hands. Every few days I will get a little bit of swelling on my lips or eyes. When my feet swell it's extremely uncomfortable to walk. The symptoms seem to come and go within 24 hours, but continuously return affecting either that same or different part of my body.
There is a red rash on the far sides of both my eyes and the skin is slightly broken, mildly irritated and burns a bit. The bags under my eyes are now wrinkled and look streched with dry patches throughout. I have had this happen before twice in the last 5 years, but have not had any diagnosis or had this much irritation. The first time this happened it only affected my upper lids and was a itchy rash that flaked skin and lasted 2 days.
