Common Questions and Answers about Swollen eye tea bag

swollen

Avatar f tn For the past few months my left eye feels swollen....almost like it is a lead ball in my eye socket. I went to my lasik surgeon and he did all the normal test...glaucoma, eye pressure, tear film for dry eye....everything was normal and my vision is 20/20 in both eyes. But my eye gets worse every day. The doctor prescribed glasses for computer and reading since I am nearing 40 and he says that it seems to be eye strain, but I am not convinced.
Avatar n tn I continuiouslly feel as if there is stuff in the counter of my eye as you get when you wake-up in the morning, but there is nothing in my eye when I touch the counter. The eye feels as if I have a headace above iton my eyebrow. In the morning it is some what swollen but after showering it is not. My eye does NOT feel as if it is scratched or has been scratched. I have used eye drops and nothing has changed. Any help would be good with meds of over the counter.
Avatar n tn I wake up in the morning with the area around my left eye very swollen. And my eye is slightly "teary". I've been told by and eye doctor that I have allergy eyes, but I've tried allergy meds. and they do not seem to help. And why is it only my left eye? The swelling goes down a little during the day, but settles in a bag and my eye. It looks awful.

Now my eye lids (the one that had pink eye is the worse) are swollen, pink and itch like HE**. They are crusty and burn, and I have wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my lids seem to droop I also have a huge bag under the eye that had pink eye. I dont know what has happen to me can someone plese help?
Avatar m tn preferably a health food store and buy 2 kinds of tea bags. 1. DECAFINATED green tea bags and 2. chamomile tea bags. soak the decaf green tea bag in warm water, when its COOL hold it to the anal area and keep holding there for 5-10 min. than alternate with a WARM chamomile tea bag for abt 5 min.....just not too warm. this should sooth the anus and if you do this 3-4x a day for 2 days should bring the swelling down. however IF the problem is constipation or impaction or infection.....
Avatar f tn I know it sounds weird but put a green tea tea bag in your mouth were the tooth hurts and leave it there for like 10 minutes. It works.
Avatar m tn For swollen lips aloe vera gel would be helpful. Or a cool tea bag. So next time you make tea, let the tea bag cool and put it over your lips. Make sure your food intake allows for ample good nutrients, vitamins and minerals. You may have a reaction to medication or some allergy. Dr. Coca's Pulse test (free download ) is a great way to find out if you are allergic/sensitive or reactive to anything that you ingest. Takes a week to complete and it is very accurate.
Avatar m tn It went down from how it was when I 1st woke, but hasn't really improved after that. Also I noticed when I pull down under my eye(where the "bags " are,) on the inside of the right eye bag its much more red than my left. Hope you get what I'm trying to say. Here's a pic indound on Google to show. http://binrock.net/photos/p/8928 Where they're pulling down, my right isnred like in the pic, left is much lighter and less red.
Avatar f tn If you have tea bags like any type of tea will work.....u just put the tea bag in some hot water and apply it to your eye and just continue to do this a few times it'll be gone by the morning:) it really works and its a natural way cause i know its not good to apply chemicals while pregnant. Good luck...
Avatar m tn I never had this problem with my left eye since the incident and I used medical prescription for my swollen eye bag and it dose not work. Is there anyway to fix this problem in an eye surgery? Thank You.
Avatar m tn I went on line the night i woke up with swelling lips and there were like a 100 home remedies, cold compresses, a tea bag, salt, honey, and the list goes on and on and on but none of these worked at all.
Avatar n tn t get into your doctor within the next day, make sure you wash your both eyes with a wet warm tea bag washing from the inside of the eye out to the side of your head. and make sure you wash your hands before and after you touch your eyes. also make sure oyu wash your pillow case as you may catch it again if you don't wash it. I wish you all th best and let me know what the doctor says.
Avatar f tn I'm not a doctor, but I do have a tendency towards puffy eyes. I know that one cause is allergy, and if your eye swelling comes and goes with the seasons, allergy is a real possibility. I know that another cause is that I chose my parents badly: My mom had major eye bags, and she passed them on to me. Thanks, Mom.
1019218 tn?1251609955 I put that on, and the next morning i woke up and my eye was swollen. it is now thursday, and my eye is still very swollen. I think I might go see my eye doctor tomorrow. any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I have tried the tea bag thing and it works great! It usually brings it to a head over night, or even drains right into the tea bag. I hope the treatment helped.
Avatar f tn Hi, Sudden swollen puffy eye lids could be due to allergies, infections or stye or due to an insect bite, but the latter usually does not affect both the eyes. If this has developed gradually kidney disorders and thyroid function should be evaluated. In case of allergic disorders antihistamines like Claritin or Zyrtec can help.
Avatar n tn I'm not a doctor, but would like to try and help. Take my word-of-mouth knowledge for what it's worth. Dark circles can often be due to blood vessles that are very close to the surface of your skin. Also, because the skin under the eye is very thin, they become highly noticeably. I've been told 2 things (from non-professionals). 1) caffein shrinks the blood vessles so they become less noticeably.
Avatar f tn This morning, when I just woke up, the swell got worse, plus there is pain to under my eye when blinking. Also the muscle in between my eye and the eye bag, think is the pupillae muscle, is also very red. It's very painful and makes me very ugly. Can I know what is this swell, pain and redness about? And what should I do to make it go back to normal?
Avatar f tn It could be a yeast infection or even vaginitis. Try a tea bag as hot as you can stand and see if it comes to a head. If not, then your best bet would be to go to a doctor. I hope this helped.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I took Claritin last night and they are still swollen. I do have antibiotic eye drops since I have blepharitis and sometimes get infections. But usually they feel grainy or like they have rocks in them. I don't feel like that. I can't get an appointment with an eye doctor. They are all booked, even the ones that I pay cash for. Should I just use the drops just in case or is this not an eye infection?
Avatar m tn I'll add as much information as possible to my topic. If this isn't in the right forum section, please move it to the correct one, but read my post first. I guess this could also go in the allergies section. I am nearly 16 years old, now a Junior in High School, and have had problems with bumps and swelling on my eyelids since the 4th grade. I woke up this morning to my right eye being half open. Looking in the mirror, it's swollen yet again.
Avatar n tn Now a few weeks later I recently had burning in both eyes and the right eye lid has a sore spot where the lashes are at. I went to sleep and woke up with a swollen bag under the eye. It appears to have drainage. What is going on?
Avatar f tn Late Thursday night the lower lid, inner corner of one eye got a little swollen, red, and tender - right in the area of the tear duct. Each day it has gotten a little worse. (Today is Saturday.) There is no scratch or pimple and I was not hit. The inner corner swollen spot is tender to touch and sometimes itchy. Hot wet cloth compresses help for a few hours. From what I have read, I think it is a stye.
Avatar n tn org/wiki/Meibomian_gland Usually a warm (not hot) tea bag will increase the viscosity of the oil in the plugged duct and they are easily massaged to unplug them (seek a doctor's personal instruction on that procedure) Good hydration is a way to avoid meibomian plug ups/cysts. When you are dehydrated they have a higher probability of occuring.
