I was on Paxil for almost fifteen years but switched to Wellbutrin SR 150 mg 1x daily two weeks ago. I have experienced every side effect in the book so far--nausea, dizziness, and severe muscle pain. I have not noticed any benefits yet to this medication. My mood is flat other than wanting to burst into tears, and I am ANGRY. When will (and do?) the side effects fade? When does the Wellbutrin start to boost mood? I have had a return of sexual function, for which I am grateful.
my hormones were low so dr put me on hormone pills and thyroid pills,i haad been on wellbutrin sr about 1 year 300 mg to counteract sexual side effects from prozac,it didnt help though,so my dr changed me from 300 wellbutrin sr to 450 mg xl,tonight for the first time in ages i feel kind of dizzy..ondering if it might be to high of a change over on the wllbutrin,,hoping after prozac is out of system i will have a sex drive any info would help or has anyone switched from the sr to the xl?
I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
My doctor now wants to switch me to lexapro which is not on the $4 plan. I do not want to keep switching from one to another. Does anyone know how lexapro is? I will be paying almost as much as the wellbutrin xl, which i am willing to do to feel better. Do I have to slowly get off of the celexa and make the switch to wellbutrin or can i just switch the next day?
I wanted to switch from Zoloft (only have been on it for 3 months 50mg) to Wellbutrin XL 150mg once per day.
Zoloft made me gain weight which made my depression worse. I am not good at taking more than one pill per day and I know with Wellbutrin, and Wellbutrin SR, more than one is required. I would wanted a timed release anyway, with one pill only. My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking.

About two weeks into my new Wellbutrin regimen (150 mg. SR added to my nightly dose of 33 mg. Remeron), I developed a pretty intense bout of heartburn. This heartburn has stayed with for most of the entire past week-and-a-half, and I've recently added a daily Prilosec to my cocktail, which clears up the problem almost entirely. I'm getting ready to bump my dose up to a second WB 150 SR daily, and am worried about this heartburn issue, as I seem to really be responding to this drug.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Lithium. It took to me perfectly. No side effects, aside from the shakes in the first month of use. Controls my mania great. I still have some hypomania and went manic a few weeks ago due to the wrong formula of Wellbutrin XL they started me on, but other than that it works great. It is also doing wonderfully along with my Wellbutrin SR. I am feeling more stable each day! I have been on Lithium for over a year and Wellbutrin for a month.
Within the last 2 weeks I started tappering off of 75mg Effexor XR, stopped taking my birth control pills, started Metformin for insulin resistance and 150mg Wellbutrin XL. I am doing all of this because my husband and I are trying to have our first child. My husband was taking Wellbutrin sr 150 the doctor upped him to 200 sr and they gave him buprion 200 sr(on the bottle it says just Bupr). He had lots of energy on the Wellbutrin sr150 and was a pleasure to be arounds, but on this 200 buprionsr he goes to sleep and is like snappen at me all the time. I took Wellbutrin for 14 yrs, for SAD. Over that time I used the SR 150 twice daily and was then to switched to the 300 XL. That was fine. Then this this summer the ins. co. insisted I try the generic. At first I didn't notice any difference but now it seems I become extremely drowsy in the afternoon. My confusion is compounded by the fact that different manufacturers are being used. My pharmacist is very good and tries to make sure she orders from facilities in the U.S.

I have not had hair falling out...but that's not a good side effect...and it is not listed as a side effect in any drug book. But there are always side effects they never tell you about. My doctor swiched me from Paxil to Bupropion Sr. last week and He said that thier was no need to ween myself off of the Paxil. So I started the Bupropion Sr at 150mg once a day for 4 days and then was to go on to two a day, Well since I started the drug. I have been very dizzy and if I move my head to fast I feel like a jolt in my vision. I told my doctor and he suggested to stay on the one a day for another week. I also have lost a pound a day since starting the drug.
after a few weeks of cutting ftom 2 prozac i feel funny so i go back to 2,my dr wants me to instead of going back to 2 proxac to up my wellbutrin to 2 150 mg in am and 1 in pm..which makes 450 mg/she said it is abit over normal amount of wellbutrin sr..
I would like to know if it is safe to take a 300mg tablet of wellbutrin xl and a 150mg tablet of wellbutrin sr on the same day for the foreseeable future.
I just started wellbutrin four days ago. I am taking 150mg XL with Lamictal. (The reason I started the Wellbutrin is because I was taking Celexa and couldn't handle the weight gain). The last two days I have been edgy, angry, yelling, up and down in my emotions. Fine one hour and angery the next. This is worse then when I wasn't on it. I am wondering if these are symptoms starting out with it, gets worse then better? Did anyone have side effects starting this medication?
