Avatar f tn They have a big variety of videos with pregnant instructors showing you how to do the workouts and you just follow along with them just like any other workout videos. Best of luck to you!
Avatar f tn Swimming is really the best workout when pregnant. I personally stopped swimming (because it's quite expensive here) when we got a dog when I was 4 months pregnant so now I'm still walking 2-3 hours everyday at 37 weeks pregnant and I've gained about 28 lbs (I'm quite tall). Hope you find something that works for you!
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar f tn I've had the same problem my whole first trimester. I'm almost in my second as well so I hope to start working out again soon. In the meantime I go to the pool when I can and do some swimming and stuff.
Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga is great for strengthening all the muscles you're gonna use during labour and for focusing on your breathing. I've been swimming a lot during my pregnancy as it feels so nice to exercise without feeling the weight of your belly. Walking as often as possible is also good. These are the only exercises I did but depends on your ability and fitness level. I had breathlessness throughout my preg so anything else was too much much me.

Avatar f tn Yea I just started the brazillian but lift workout videos and I super like them.
Avatar m tn Many gyms offer rowing machines, upper body ergometers, swimming pools, and boxing rooms. These can all be used by those with limited leg function. A rowing machine provides aerobic workouts to the biceps, triceps, pectoralis muscles, and the upper back muscles. An upper body ergometer (arm bike) looks like an upside-down bike that is pedaled with your hands. In the pool, shallow water arm movements with leg stabilization can be done to stress the arms, chest and upper back.
Avatar f tn I downloaded the apps "Daily Workouts free" and "Lose Weight Fitness and Workouts", those two apps have a ton of workouts for targeted areas or your whole body. They are also short videos so they show you how your body is supposed to be positioned. Daily Workouts also times you in intervals. Hope this helps if you're able to download apps. I also have the app "Fitness Buddy", but I haven't looked at it as much, that one looks more targeted towards men.
Avatar f tn Swimming and walking are both recommended while pregnant at any stage(:
Avatar f tn Start slowly and engage in aerobic and toning exercises. Walking, jogging, swimming, biking and abdominal exercises are good. An increase in your activity level and eating 100 fewer calories will help you lose weight and is a safe if you’re breast-feeding. A healthy breakfast, which will give you needed energy and prevent fatigue. Eat five to six small meals a day and never skip a meal. Drink eight to nine glasses of fluid a day I suggest water.
Avatar f tn I had to stop my workouts due to back injury. My doctor said NO MORE weights, jumps squats or running. I've listened but have put on 20lbs, I walk but it doesn't promote weight loss. I watch what I eat for the most part and do enjoy a glass if wine with dinner. What Other options are there for me at age 51. I've heard of PYO?? I don't want to irritate my back anymore.... Help!
Avatar f tn Not a DVD but if you search pregnancy workout on pinterest they have some nice workouts to do.
Avatar f tn If I were you, I would skip the cardio machines and go outside for exercise. You can get a lot more out of running in fresh air than you can with running inside a clammy room and being bored. You should also schedule your exercise around 2 hours after you eat - so that you can burn the calories from your meal. I try to go jogging at least three times a day, it's a great way to get leg muscle. Also make a routine up for yourself.
Avatar f tn I am 6 weeks pregnant. I would like to go for my usual gym workouts. What exercises are safe for my sweet little unborn child?
Avatar n tn Try to contour them so it will look like you have bigger boobs.
Avatar f tn From what I have read, Swimming and walking are safe options and can at least keep you on track to being healthy and delivery ready. A stationary bike is good too. I can't do either of these unfortunately and that frustrates me. I used to workout at home pre-pregnancy using body weight and videos. I was the fittest I have been in years, more than when I went to the gym. I also used to walk from work 1 hr 30 mins, but now that it's winter, it's not an option.
Avatar f tn Me and my mom like to do Jillian Michael workouts. They are very fast shedding workouts, so if you dont already have one of her dvd's look up a few of her videos on youtube. She likes to do a lot of boxing videos. These videos have helped me loose a few pounds very quickly.
Avatar f tn re already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).
Avatar m tn m 23 yo male I am currently eating healthy and at a calorie deficit and I walk on treadmill for about 40 min a day for 5 times a week. Could someone suggest me some workouts I can do at home which involves all the bodyparts? cheers!
Avatar f tn Walking and swimming are both highly recommended when pregnant. And they are both great workouts! as for the food. Im probably the worst to ask. But i know green vegetables and fruit are good so try to eat as much as possible(: plenty of water also especialpy since your gonna be working out! Gotta stay hydrated!
Avatar f tn Walking is great and so is swimming! Swimming is actually the best in my book, I'm 34 weeks and when I swim it's the only time I feel great and comfortable.
Avatar m tn Hi! Sorry to take so long! I've been swimming more now and it doesn't happen anymore. It was probably lack of exercise lol But thank so much for your help.
Avatar m tn I am doing all body muscles workouts at home (sometimes intense workout) including abdominal workouts. I want to start swimming for a while and i want to know what are the benefits of swimming, and what will my muscles and abs benefit from it.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have noticed recently, during my weightlifting routines at the gym, that I will occasionally get a fluttering sensation in my heart that lasts about 10 to 15 seconds and occurs randomly while lifting weights or doing abdominal exercises, but oddly enough never during cardio workouts such as running or swimming (chance?). These "flutters" are quite worrisome, as I feel as if my heart may not recover it's consistent beat sometimes.
