16431392 tn?1447875874 The neck pain and muscular stiffness is favourite common and can be caused by stress or anxiety, or sometimes vital. Massage, especially shiatsu can help a great deal - try a couple of sessions of that at your local massage therapist. The bad feelings you're experience are very common after pregnancy, try to focus on other things, and talk about it with your local nurse or clinic.
Avatar f tn The LaStone uses smooth stones that are heated and cooled with the balance of a light Swedish massage. There are still more modalities that I am learning to become a Massage Therapist. Thanks to you all for your honest answers and I also will place these in my report as well as long no one has any objections.
Avatar f tn Has anyone thought about Japanese finger pressure, Shiatsu. Have used it and it can help.
Avatar f tn My cousin did. As a professional massage therapist I recomended a swedish massage twice a month. It's cheaper than seeing a therapist, or medications and if you need those they'll refer you. But you might as well take the option that just plain feels good, and gives you a moment to focus on you and feel better faster.
139792 tn?1498585650 I do yoga, acupressure, shiatsu massage of abdomen, I think your suggestion of visceral massage is applicable in this condition. I will explore further in this direction. I came across one suggestion the one teaspoonful of ginger juice with sugar before retiring will normalize urinating. I will try that also. The doctor ususally say that at 80, with insomnia, you do more frequent urination. Sombody suggested, at every 10 years after 60, you do add one extra visit two bath room.
Avatar f tn So, I would suggest perhaps going to a sports injury doc, they deal with things like rotator cuff injuries all the time, and he can evaluate you and perhaps order physical therapy. On your own, you could instead visit a professional massage therapist, deep Swedish massage a few times might break up the pain in there and relieve your headaches. Now, anytime a person is in a lot of pain, they will have your other symptoms of being tired, not able to focus, and emotional problems.
Avatar n tn I got a swedish massage Saturday afternoon and about a half hour after started to feel a little sick. It felt like cramps/nausea and came in waves. I had my period for a few days, but was not feeling bad before the massage at all this month. About 2 hours after the massage while I was shopping I felt really sick and fainted. I've never fainted before in my life. Do you think it was the massage? Im hoping its not something more serious.

Avatar f tn If it turns out to be compressed nerves your best bet is a good chiropractor. Swedish massage is also good.
Avatar n tn So true! I took my Shiatsu massage pad back today. But the good news is this: I'm feeling awesome. WD is all gone and the pain is so much less. Never thought I'd feel this good again. Everyone who's just staring to quit-please know you'll be glad you did.
398059 tn?1447945633 Swedish massage is out for you and me. Deep kneading only aggravates the muscles and often causes spaasms and pain. I found a massage therapist who is excellent with positional release and accupressure. Both are really gentle touch, and extremely beneficial for relaxing those hyper-muscles. You might search in your area for someone who is trained in either of those techniques. If you google positional release you will find a lot of information.
1380526 tn?1292839385 Have you tried massage for the neck pain? It helped me a lot. A local dr works with a masseuse and was even able to get it covered by my insurance. I also have found more relief from ice packs than from meds.
Avatar m tn About 5 weeks ago I went to a local massage place. I came in for a Swedish massage and I ended up with a prostate massage. The masseuse was being a little to rough and I think that my bowel were not empty. Since then been I having all kind symptoms. At first, for about two weeks I had a burning sensation in my lower left abdominal area and constipation, then I started getting hot flashes and a light pain in my anus , scrotum and lower abdominal area and occasional joint pain.
Avatar f tn Okay. Good. Deep tissue is the type of massage that you will need. Swedish only works on the superficial muscle and tissue. Ice after the massage, if deep tissue. You can be sore (like soreness after a workout) because toxins are being pushed out of the muscle into you body. Also drink lots of water to hydrate you muscles. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Avatar f tn Takes all the weight off the spine. Most of the time it makes it stop hurting for a while. Also, massage therapy is helpful, Swedish massage is the best kind for me, breaks up all the tension in the muscles that builds up from pain, for a while anyway.
Avatar f tn All women gets this but not everyone feels a pain from it . keep your back straight and rest alot. Massage can help too. Its not harmful for you or the baby and will go away after she/he is born. Your body is just telling you to slow down ♡ hope this helped. In swedish it's called "foglossning" and is a very common topic for pregnant women to talk about.
Avatar m tn the massage was with oil as it was a swedish massage.the girl is from thailand.i generally asked her where is from and what she does etc.She was keen on giving me more services for extra pay but i didnt do anything apart from a handjob. after the massage which bathing i felt a slight sting on my index finger on my right hand.it had a tiny cut and wasnt bleeding but it was stinging and was red.i did press her breast once while she gave me a handjob as she was topless.
538403 tn?1213717644 Make sure your LMP is knowledgeable in the modalities of massage that affect scar tissue, a generic swedish massage (the standard of most therapists) won't do much for your situation. You need cross fiber friction massage to literally break up the tissue.
1060976 tn?1258703824 Because it is the easiest of the IVF treatments, I say relax. Get a nice pedi & mani, but mostly, get a good deep tissue (anytime this week) or swedish massage & try to relax. If you can get accu-pressure or puncture treatment a couple days before...even better. I say it's all about the relaxation. ;o) Mounds of RSSBD to ya.

She also told me that she´s healthy. Divorced, 2 kids, works as a nurse.
Avatar f tn Hello. Lastnight i got swedish oil massage, while i was entering the room i ve got my hand scratched and seen some red tissue with blood. I ve washed my hands then got the massage. Does it puts me in risk if masseuse has wounds or blood in her hands.
Avatar f tn This message is for the people who: have been to their doc and they just keep giving you pain pills and scratching their heads; you've been to multiple people( neurologists, orthopedists, family physician, etc., etc,, etc..) and they don't find anything significant; you've had multiple tests (MRIs, cat scans, nerve conduction tests, etc.. and they pretty much come up clear OR your doctor has told you OR made you feel that THIS STUFF IS ALL IN YOUR HEAD! You're CRAZY.
