By July 30th, 2008 (maybe a few days earlier) I developed a small quarter size rash on my right foot but this rash was nothing at all like the rash on my penis a few weeks earlier. Also by July 30th, 2008 I developed a severe sore throat, to the point were I was eating ice pops and drinking cold drinks regularly to reduce the irratation. By August 21th the rash had gone away, the sore throat was on and off and I was headed to the clinic again for my 30 day test. The results were negative.
I haven't yet found reason for my symptoms. I have negative HIV antibody test result at 16 weeks mark and still have palpable lymph nodes in my neck,under jaw and in my groins. I had a rash on my forehead after exposure and my girlfriend has the same rash now. She also has persistent headaches and stomach aches. I am so scared especially when I see cases like this from the Body:

hello there,we're on thesame regimen.i recently changed from sustiva to norvir,truvada and reyetaz.i've been on this for 8months now but no s/e.i had uti once,but that's about it.what was ur cd4 count before u got on the meds?
I stopped PEP 3 days ago and the rash that looks like ars rash ( supposedly from sustiva) has not gone away. More importantly my lymph nodes in my neck are swollen, so much so its difficult to swallow.
I am going to go see a doc in Bangkok today. Now I'm really scared. If had the virus it most likely would surge after stopping arvs, causing the lymph node swelling.
In June 2005 I tested positive with a VL of 330,000 and antibody test at this time it was non react which for what I have read is negative for the antibodies, I decided back then to start treatment right away (Truvada & Sustiva) due to the high VL, I got a geno and phenotype test done before starting treatment, Dr.
I've had HIV for several years, luckily it was caught early. I started meds fairly soon after. I started Atripla in 2010. It got be undetectable quickly and has kept that way. I never had major bad side effects on it. I did have some crazy dreams and still do. After I was on it for a couple years, things began to slowly deteriorate. I began getting panic attacks, and bouts of tachycardia and palpitations. I had a history of those but it seemed to get worse.
i am a little nervous because of what i have read...........i have previously taken the ribovarin/interferon treatment with no success. I am ready to try again, but would like to hear more about the side effects others have dealt with on the inciveck.............i understand not everyone goes through the same thing but all feedback is welcome. Thank you.
at week 11 the liver doc started the prednisone which saved the treatment. perhaps if the PA had taken the rash more seriously i would not have had to stop the incevik,. the vomiting needs to be controlled. i was prescribed promethazine, an antihistamine, for the nausea. folks on this board and my primary doc think that zofran is a better choice. i also found ginger tea helpful with the nausea. most here report feeling better after the incevik is completed.

The rash of secondary syphilis can actually become more prominent after treatment than beforehand. However, that usually is brief, and normally the rash of syphilis would be completely gone within 1-2 weeks. So most likely the red spots are not at all related to your syphilis. If they persist and you are convinced they are new, show them to your doctor.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be dermatitis skin, contact dermatitis or heat rash. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful apart from steroid creams. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.
There is currently no known cure for keratosis pilaris, however, there are effective treatments available which make its symptoms less apparent. Treatment includes tretinoin or Triamcinolone cream or Adapalene, a retinoid medication. Exfoliation, intensive moisturizing creams, creams and lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids and urea may be used to temporarily improve the appearance and texture of affected skin.
Continue application for 2 weeks after the rash disappears. The cause for persistence is that the treatment is often left in between. Meanwhile test for blood sugar level to see if it is high for diabetes too can prevent resolution of fungal infection.
If within 14 days there is no improvement, then consult a skin specialist for a reassessment of diagnosis. This rash that appears on nose, cheek and crevice between nose and cheek can be a discoid rash of lupus.
On the other had, Incivek can cause more rash problems. (SOC causes rash too, but the Incivek compounds the rash and can, in rare instances, cause severe rash problems and systemic involvement.) Incivek also has the potential for anal problems.
You take Incivek for 12 weeks along with Peg and Riba. Then you stop Inc and continue with Peg Riba.
You do a 4 week Peg and Riba lead in with Vic, then add Vic at week 5 and continue through Tx. So you take Vic longer than Inc.
