In June 2005 I tested positive with a VL of 330,000 and antibody test at this time it was non react which for what I have read is negative for the antibodies, I decided back then to start treatment right away (Truvada & Sustiva) due to the high VL, I got a geno and phenotype test done before starting treatment, Dr.

Sometimes drug tests can give a false positive, also if you have taken another drug that may contain the drug that could trip the drug tests trigger.

I took a urine drug test at my painclinic.I peed in a glass with no lines,no strips.the nurse took it in a room,came back with a folder for me to sign.The folder was flat,how can my urine be in that folder ? or is it something else they send.

Hi Suz, Drug tests aren't always 100%, depending on the Doctor, the type of test and other things you may have eaten or, OTC drugs can come up false positive. For example the Vicks Inhalers will give a false positive for meth. I had 2 drug tests come up false positive for drugs I had never taken in my life. Shortly after that the Doctor that did them got in serious trouble and had his license restricted and he is going to court.

There are certain everyday things you eat that can cause a false positive test for varying drugs. There's a thread on here somewhere that lists them out. I suppose you can ask for an oral swab test. I believe they're more accurate. However, if you are doing any other drug (occasionally), like heroin, commonly the drugs you mention are mixed in with what is supposed to be heroin. So in that case, you would be getting a positive test.

9mg-once a day, Motrin 1600mgs a day, Asprin 350mg-4 times a day, all these everyday for over a year. The school he goes to drug screens him and it has always come back positive for PCP. No other drug screens - the criminal justice system or the hospital's test are positive for anything. Could any of his meds be the reason that he is showing up positive.
