As for how long u r off work depends on u and how u recover...we r all different.....I am still not working or driving.....and will be 2 yrs post op in May....I do have other issues as well.....if u heal slowly like I do or have other things going on it may take some time. AS for complete healing of the nerves it can take 2 yrs..

Do NOT attempt to remove this drain by yourself. I can understand another vet wanting the surgical report, but it shouldn't stop them from treating your dog. That doesn't sound right to me at all. If you're having problems finding a competent vet, you could try starting with your local SPCA or Humane Society. Explain the situation to them and I'm sure they'll come up with a vet who will happily get this thing safely out of your dog's ear.

I have been back to my Gp for advice but am told that i would need a further operation, i dont want this route, does anybody have any ideas about more homepathic remedies or if physiotherapy helps?

Postponing the operation as long as reasonably possible is a good thing. You avoid unnecessary surgical risks by doing that. A few people actually die during heart surgery. It's not like having your tonsils out. It's a lot more major than that. It's not something to jump into, just to "get it over with." Also, if you can postpone your operation, you may be able to take advantage of advanced surgical technology later on.

I disagree. Journals aren't the problem. It's how they are used. Used right and they can be a helpful resource. (please check my earlier journals about autism and my dad's (MJthewriterdad) journals). But true, some journals and notes are better off as personal messages, espcially some of the comments.

I suggest before you blast my journals you take a look back your own and the moods,, that you guys have put up, are you saying you have not done the same....thats a stretch guys and you know it .I suggest that all here look at some of the journals if they are still there .,hypocritical .

i had cevecious cyst on my right cheek according to a surgical doctor if i'm not mistaken. Last March 2010 i undergo with operation to take it out. Then I don't have no worries at all. But after two months i noticed that the cyst is their again. Now i am in doubt if i'll undergo with an operation again or ill just go to dermatologist ? Please help me... thank you.
