Yes, don't use the Sumitriptan or the Naproxen or any NSAIDs before surgery. If the Naproxen wasn't on the list, it should be, because it's an NSAID. With the Imitrex, it would be better to be safe than sorry. I'm not entirely sure, but it seems like it would be a safer bet to struggle through those migraines for the next couple of weeks. I do know for sure with the Naproxen, because it's an NSAID.
I was diagnosed with anxiety (again), and told that all my symptoms were a manifestation of said anxiety. I was prescribed Sumatriptan, propanolol, and naproxen. The medication was working, but it didn't last long. My symptoms have worsened, to the point where i cannot go up the stairs without having to stop due to shortness of breath, pain in my heart, and weakness in my legs. I almost always feel a tightness in my chest, and any pressure on my chest causes pain.

Did your neurologist tell you that the fact the side effect of hands and feet tingling is actually a good sign? It has been shown in clinical studies that patients who get the side effect of hands and feet tingling show a MUCH better response to the topamax for migraine relief!! So, the hands and feet tingling side effect and the topamax actually working as a migraine drug go hand in hand... this is a very good sign for you!!

Naproxen is just ibuprofen, which is Motrin and Aleve. I would think Celebrex would help a lot more than Naproxen. It can't hurt to ask for it. Naproxen didn't do anything for me, except hurt my stomach. The Celebrex helped a lot, right away.
The doctor said that there is nothing I can do about it apart from taking strong painkillers. The dr. has suggestes to take Naproxen but unfortunatly, I get really bad stomach ache when taking Naproxen. Does anyone know any tips that could help me to get rid of the horrible pain and any tips for weight loss with PCOS?
on day 10....today my doctor prescribed me Naproxen for my chronic back pain. I know I could search this, but would rather ask anyone with any experience with it's use. Good idea or not to use after 10 days clean. I dont even know if it's a "mild" narcotic or not, however I believe it's similar to Aleeve. Advice? thanks in advance.
Hi I have just been diagnosed with Rhuemertoid Arthritis and was presbribed with Sulfasalazine, Naproxen and Omeprazole DR. My ccp lgg count is 41 unit which is a moderate positive level. I wonder whether I can just take Sulfasalazine and avoid Naproxen (pain killer) and Omeprazole (acid reducer) if pain is within my endurance level.
I really dont want to upset my stomach by flooding with drugs.
I have tried Naproxen before but it had no effect on me however it may be more effective in a combination approach, I will ask my doctor about this. The last couple of times I have just used ibprofen (becuase of the side effects with Imigrain) and have had mixed results, but I have had many rebound migraines using this so is the best method.
Fingers crossed the migraine I just experienced was just a one off and not a sign of things to come as I barely managed to cope with that one!
My doctor prescribed me trazodone hydrochloride for anxiety, sumatriptan succinate for migraines, zopiclone for sleep, I've been told I can take the trazodone with zopiclone, but I have the new sumatriptan tablets, it says in the medical pamphlet that it is an MAO-A inhibitor and can't be taken with antidepressants/anxiety tablets.
Would it be ok to take both the trazodone hydrochloride and the sumatriptin succinate together?
I am on beta-blockers to make it less likely that I will have one, but of course nothing works all the time and I still get them from time to time. I am on sumatriptan for when I do get them. My insurance covers it but only 10 for a month of the sumatriptan. Anyway, I think you can predict the migraines with the prodrome and aura symptoms. I do not have aura's so I don't get the vision problems or anything.
