Avatar f tn Today, I just started experiencing some pretty incomfrotable leg pains that start in my back and extend down my right leg. From what I've researched it seems to be sciatic nerve pain. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do for pain relief? Im 16w 5d right now.
Avatar f tn What is the cause of the nerve damage? Complex B 12 vitamins help with nerve support and can speed up the nerves healing but nothing will help if whatever is damaging them is not fixed.

Avatar f tn I have had an MRI, EEG (which showed a problem with the nerve), two steroid injections (neither worked), CT Myelogram (which showed inflammation of the nerve), another MRI (this time with contrast, which also showed nerve inflammation). The Neurosurgeon that I am seeing is telling me he's see's no reason for the inflammation, I have DDD and a mild bulging disc but it's not touching the nerve. He is telling me there's nothing he can do to help me.

Avatar f tn I am on baby #3 and it has happened to me with all 3. Baby is on your sciatic nerve. It's a largest nerve so it causes all kinds of issues. You should try stretching your lower back and hips. It helps me a lot. Only thing I can't ever get rid of is the numb thighs. Good luck ladies!
Avatar f tn This is a common complaint that is often attributed to nerves regenerating over time. Unfortunately, due to invasive surgery, tissue and nerve damage and especially if you had radiation therapy the discomfort could last for a long period of time. If your pain is constant I think you should be seen in a Pain Center, because there are definitely treatments for it.
Avatar f tn Nerve damage, or nerve pain? Two totally different things... Sciatic nerve pain is very common in pregnancy, but is generally self-limiting. I certainly suffer from sciatica during pregnancy. Nerve damage is permanent and becomes chronic. But it sounds to me like you are describing ligament pain, resulting from the stretching of abdominal ligaments.
Avatar f tn t have a doctor like I do. Mine told me all I could do was hope the baby moves off the nerve lol. There are some things you can try. I found that getting on my knees, laying my upper half down, and pushing on my lower belly helped move him off my nerve some. It didn't completely stop hurting, but I could move. I also read in a magazine that laying on your side (the one that's not hurting) can help. It didn't help much for me, but it may for you.
Avatar f tn Ok so I'm about 27 weeks pregnant or so, they still are having troubles dating my baby. I get this sharp pain that spirals down my left leg. It makes it nearly impossible to walk and sometimes it hurts so bad that I cry. If it's due to the baby and the sciatic nerve stretching id there anything I can do to relieve the pain?
Avatar f tn I'm 35 and 29 weeks pregnant with my third child. I've been having so much pain in my lower back, doctor said it's the pressure of the baby on my sciatic nerve. Sometimes I can barely walk! The pain is unbearable, but his only suggestion is to take Tylenol and apply heat! Any other suggestions? Help!

10592317 tn?1416534566 Does anyone else have a pinched nerve that won't go away? I have one in my back that goes into my hip, leg and arm. Tylenol only works for a short period of time. I also take warm baths or have a heating pad on low. And lately I haven't been able to sleep or even lay or sit. I don't know what to do. My back is also separated. I wanna get my back adjusted so bad, but I know I can't. I'm in pain and have 8 weeks left. My mom had one with my brother in between her legs.
Avatar f tn s going on. My back and legs started hurting again and PM Dr. tested me for a nerve block. It worked on me so he will do it the 8th of Dec. I had 4 days of NO PAIN. It should last 18 months , then they can do it again! Maybe it could help a lot of other people on here. I was getting scared I was going to have too get back on the pills again, I also got a script for a antidepressant. It's helping too. I'm not bragging just want to pass along the good news and maybe help someone else.
