397118 tn?1219762250 When I first started taking all this mess I would go into euphoria and I would crave and devoure(sp) food. tt was like I was getting more high off the food! It went hand and hand with me.. I am going to be going through detox on May 18th... My last Patch is going to be on May 16th. Then its on to Subox..SO we will see. I had gastric bypass surgery and then I had a couple surgeries after that, then came the back pain, neck pain all do to buldging disks.
Avatar n tn I met a friend at a NA group who said he detoxed himself by going off the oxy adn then taking 2 mg of suboxone per day for 4-5 days and then stopped suboxone altogether. Said he did not suffer bad withdrawals. I know he is not a dr. but I am desparate. Any ideas? I am 31 and weigh 135 pounds (lost 20 lbs due to oxy). If you have any input that would be greatly appreciated!!!!
1460021 tn?1445735958 I was put on Xanax for my anxiety, Prozac for my depression and 10mg of suboxone, and now living back with my mother (I'm 24...oh joy to living back with the mother lol). It's now one year on and i have dropped my dose down to 4mg a day..(still on antidepressants and xanax).
Avatar m tn Does anyone notice depression with the Suboxone? I am just hoping that when I am completely off the suboxone that this depression will go away. Also I am going off the Suboxone in one month, which I talked to my Dr. about. Please anybody any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.
8265858 tn?1403378544 i,ve had a very hard road with addiction.the 3 yrs i was on suboxone were normal and productive. i quit suboxone ,i was down to 2 mg a day anyway no w/ds relapse came and i was off to the races again.taking 2 mgs of sub vs a handful of something else makes sense to me regardless its my decision if i choose to go back on subs. i,m trying not too ,i respect your opinion please respect mine.i,ve told no one to take suboxone just giving my opinion how my experience was on it.
Avatar f tn They mainly do the methadone maintenence but do subutex and suboxone treatment as well. I know I cannot continue with the oxys because the addict in me always wants more, more more and I need the madness to stop but at the same time I will always need something for pain. I am going to give it a try and hope to God I can get my life under control.I need to get better for my babies. they need me and I want to kick this addiction but still be able to get out of bed in the morning.
Avatar f tn I had my surgery over a decade ago, and I found that I was replacing my favorite drug ( food ) with whatever the doctors gave me. I even went for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation afterwards so I would be able to continue taking pain killers, since they were the thing that made me feel normal! I used food to stuff down the emotional pain of depression before, and I believe that if u are depressed and expect being thin to solve depression, think again.
Avatar f tn to get on suboxone can you drop dirty just for suboxone in the morning
Avatar n tn My son started taking suboxone this morning starting with a half tablet and then another half at noon. He has been throwing up since then. Five times. Is this normal. We called the nurse and she said the nausea might be part of the withdrawals but my son said he didn't have nausea when he was having withdrawals. Has anyone else had this problem?
Avatar m tn (you may know that already) You have to be in stages of withdrawl from Methadone for Suboxone to work. You can make an appointment with a doctor who prescribes Suboxone now and he will let you know what you need to do. Thats what I did. He just said "call me when you are down to 40mg of Methadone and I will call in a prescription for you. Then wait 48 hrs before you take it.
Avatar f tn Suboxone is used for pain management but it was intended for opiate withdrawal. I assume you do know you can not take the suboxone with any type of opiate as it will make you very ill. As far as using for post surgical pain I would not think it would provide enough pain relief for you. When you do decide if you do to take the suboxone again make sure all the opioids are out of your system.
684726 tn?1228485621 doesnt make a large difference, but it would help with some advice if you still need it......or just post with comments, questions, or observations --- Just dont stop quiting,,,,,,it can be done -- I am living proof of that!!!
Avatar f tn Did you ever try suboxone isnt methdone pretty strong or at least stronger than suboxone if you havent maybe try the sub that is what it is for withdrawal..
Avatar m tn I would definitely tell the doctor though because they need to know the meds you are on - especially mixing a benzo type med with suboxone. Work with them and they will work with you.
Avatar f tn This suboxone has just replaced one drug with another as far as I am concerned. She is just as addicted to this as she was to all the opiates that came before. She still faces the demise of her physical health as well as her emotional health. I don't know what to do. I've called all her doctors with my concerns and they all cry HIPPA!!! They don't care as long as they're getting paid. We all know this.
Avatar f tn You will be fine I traveled all across Europe with suboxone years ago. No issues at all through customs. Good luck and have fun in the US!
Avatar f tn I just know I got on Suboxone to stop the other opiates as soon as I tried hydrocodone/notco for sub withdrawal relief I wanted more and more ...which Suboxone never did for me and then ...
Avatar f tn Can anyone share with me there experence with Suboxone. I have been taking it for 3 days now and have been clean for 3 day it totally takes the cravings away but it does make me a little sleepy at times. I do still think about pills but I am not craving them I am just looking to get some support and communicate with other people that understand what I am going through.
Avatar m tn I wanted to say congratulations on your 16 days! I don't have any personal experience with subs, but I hear the wds can be a long, drawn out nightmare. Hang tight and someone with more experience will be by. You are doing great! Keep on fighting the good fight!
Avatar n tn I am looking for a suboxone doctor in Ohio that is some what close to Youngstown that accepts Caresource insurance. I am desperate and willing to travel. I don't have alot of money so it's very important that i find a doctor that accepts my insurance. I would really appreciate it if you were able to help me as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your time.
Avatar m tn The claim that 'Suboxone is an opiate for an opiate' is heard at amateur discussion boards, but it is entirely inaccurate. Buprenorphine is a partial agonist with a ceiling effect, and is given at ultra-high levels i.e. far about the 'ceiling'-- the result is a direct reduction in craving that is not experienced with opiate agonists.
