suboxone

1381087 tn?1279223327 t know if the name of the drug you were looking for is Suboxone or not. Ppl on Suboxone have had many different experiences. Suboxone was never intended to be used for pain management. However in some cases physicians are using in in that manner. Suboxone sites continue to say this: "Patients with a clinical need for pain management should not be transferred to a suboxone regimen, even if they are physically dependent on opioids.
Avatar f tn Thanks guys I think I knew the answer before I asked... I just wanted a little re-enforcement. Joes urine test came up with oxy bummer we will move on though. I will talk to him about it tomorro, It only took me 8 or 10 hours to figure it out.
Avatar f tn I am currently on Suboxone and have been for over a year now. Every time my doctor does a drug test on me there is a faint line showing me positive for roxy use. I haven’t taken roxys in over a year. Why is this line showing testing me positive for roxys even though I am not taking them anymore?
Avatar f tn You could ask your doc if it is ok to take suboxone with the new meds since it is a prescription and not a street drug. If suboxone is not compatible with the new meds then your doc can prescribe you with something else.
Avatar f tn I take a 12 panel urine test for my pain management doctor and i ONLY TAKE my prescribed meds which are suboxone and colonapine. they have us pee in a self testing cup "right there" and it shows up as having morphine and codeine then they send it to the lab and it still reads positive for them what makes it show up i dont take anything else but that and sometimes ibprophen it happened twicw now and im going to get cut off what is happening??????
Avatar m tn Ok, I quit suboxone cold turkey on January 4, 2014. Went through the worst withdrawls of my life for a while. Just now starting to get my natural energy back! But I never went to a doctor for my suboxone so I really dont know a lot about the drug (crazy right). Well I have a very close relative of mine who needs to know how long suboxone stays in your system.
Avatar f tn I was reading a lot of the forums on here and came across a lot of women who are currently pregnant and on suboxone or struggling with substance abuse issues. I have been on suboxone for about 3 years and got pregnant accidentally but through discussing it with my fiance we chose to keep the baby... I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and have done everything by the book and then some. I was extremely hesitant to tell my OBGYN that I take suboxone.
Avatar m tn I posted how i relapsed couple days ago and how i took suboxone to stop and took it for about 2 weeks. After 7 days off suboxone i started to go threw WD's and i expected them just not after the 7th day so now im on Day 14 and just got called by a company that my brother works for to have an interveiw.
Avatar f tn It all depends on the type of test they would be testing you with! Most drug screenings test for all of them. But some places only test specifically for suboxone subutex and opiates. I would just call up to the doctor office and ask, u dont necessarily have to give them your name if u ask a generic question such as that!
Avatar m tn He was in detox a couple months ago and reports that he has NOT been using opiods for more than a month. He wants to start on suboxone because of craving the opiods. Does anyone have an opinion on using Suboxone for a person who is actually not actively using? He has in the past used suboxone off the street and says it was helpful. We're confused--will a dr. prescribe suboxone for someone who isn't using.
Avatar f tn I am 6 months pregnant and have taken a quarter of a suboxone in early stages of pregnancy and have again taken a quarter of a suboxone strip. I am not going to do this again for fear for my baby and the fact that I know it was wrong, but what I would like to know is, if I no longer do this, will it be able to be detected in myself or the baby in any way when she is born? My due date is July 22, 2014. thankyou.
Avatar m tn I have been on suboxone for 7 months I have found in my profession that companies look down on people on this med. I didn't ask to be an addict I was hospitalized for a month and put on phentinol at 5mg every 4 hours and 150mg of Demerol every 8 hrs for the entire time of the stay then was released without support in fact I was giving a double dose 3 hours prior to be released from the hospital. Anyway that night I went into withdrawal.
Avatar m tn i have a good job and the person who was in charge of random drug testing for my company was a good friend and kept me off the list. one day while driving home i felt so helpless that i just cried out to god for some help. the next day my friend called me and told me that a third party company was going to start the random testing so i called my wife. she set an appointment with a dr. who prescribed me Suboxone.
Avatar f tn It shows up about 96 hours after initial dose. But in drug testing, I believe they specifically have to test for suboxone for it to show up. Are you in a clinic program?
1427033 tn?1297507496 After many failed attempts to quit these white devils I've decided to give Suboxone a try. I have a friend that is currently on Suboxone and he said it was a life saver. Only problem is...he is now addicted to the Suboxone and I've heard horror stories about quiting Sub as well. I'm not sure what else to do as going cold turkey is something I am unable to accomplish. I have heard great success stories about Subooxne as well. Strange story here.
Avatar m tn t suggest going to suboxone and I say that because suboxone is SO MUCH STRONGER than hydrocodone. No doubt suboxone saved my life but I was also taking 450-600 mg of oxy a day or 250-350 mg opana a day when I went on it. Switching from hydrocodone to suboxone in my personal opinion is only switching to a stronger drug. Bupernorphine that's the narcotic in suboxone is 40x stronger than morphing while hydrocodone is I think .5 stronger than morphine.
Avatar f tn Thanks everyone! I'm slowing a bit down now but energy comes and goes! I'm still trying to find outpatient at least! I'm also doing drug testing all the time! So this is finally it! I'm doing it for me! Something I've been screaming inside to do since my daughters father passed away in 2006! She doesn't need to lose another parent! I'm 34 and he was 34 then when he passed away doing what I was doing! That's why I turned to suboxone and got away from the needle!
Avatar m tn I have a friend who always took oxy and meth exactly as the doctor prescribed, eventually decided to get off both as neither worked, he felt worse with more and with less. Detox was with suboxone. This is problematic - he still has the original pain, deals with huge pain through out body, shower water is even too painful on account of detox over two months ago, and with one off and two days on sub, he is not very hopeful. A new doctor will use avinza to ease him off suboxone.
Avatar m tn Any experience with suboxone withdrawl in a term infant delivered on 1 mg sebutex daily for last trimester. No other drugs noted on regular testing .
Avatar n tn I have stopped oxycontins in the past and absolutely could not get thru it w/out being put on suboxone. I then stayed on suboxone for two and one-half years. I then went thru hell coming off of even that. My question is two-fold. I recently went into a county detox (not recommended) they detoxed me off of a heavy oxycontin habit w/ subutex, however they didn't "wean me". They gave me the same amount for 3 days. I then took 2 suboxone and "weened" myself.
Avatar f tn I had an ACDF in may 2012 following a car accident that occurred in March of 2012. After the surgery I felt great and went on back on suboxone with the same doctor that put me on it before the accident. Was doing great it didn't last long. Around mid Dec. 2012 my symptoms before the surgery came back worse then before. I went to my suboxone doctor and he did a cortisone shot, trigger shots, mri, and prescribe a muscle relaxer.
893913 tn?1245510893 I am now on suboxone. I admitted to my doctor my addiction, and he put me on suboxone. I've been on it for 2 days now and its very hard. cold sweats, headaches, shakiness, and most of all, i cannot sleep. I go to bed now around 2am and sleep until about 10am - wake up and feel sick and antsy. I hope these symptoms calm down and that I can get back to a normal life soon. Its only been 2 days. I hope after this weekend, my body is done with the withdrawls. I'm depressed and feel so alone.
