Avatar m tn Can anyone give me a successful suboxone taper chart or schedule? I've been on 32mg but i've cut myself down to 24mg a day. Tomorrow i am going to jump down to 16mg. I would like to make myself a schedule to successfully get off sub. I am ready to. I don't want to use anymore and i'm ready to feel normal without anything. i've been doing very well so far. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I abused everything in my lie that you can name Lortab, Oxycontin, Fentanyl, Now it has basically been Lortab 10 mg. pills and I have gone on this Suboxone taper can you tell me if this mixed with therapy and meetings is safe... Take 3 8mg. pills for 2 days Take 2 8 mg. pills for 2 days Take 1 8 mg. pills for 2 days Take 4 mg. for 2 days Take 2 mg pills for 2 days then off...Mind you I have just been put on this drug and wanted to see if this is a safe effective taper.. Thank you so much.
Avatar n tn you dont want methadone and you shouldnt need suboxone...'your on a fairly low dose, i am not one that usually gives out taper schedules...but you can try dropping 5 mgs off your dose every week so it will be a comfortable taper plan.., go slow with it if you have the time and you should do fine... maybe someone else will jump in with some advice.... good luck to you...
Avatar m tn I need some straight forward honest opinions. I am a drug addict there I said it. I have been taking pain meds on and off for 7 1/2 yrs now ever since my gastric bypass surgery. I have quit cold turkey can't count how many times and quit 1 time on a almost complete weening schedule then just stopped when I got down to 3 pills a day. I am so ready to quite now so I went down to kaiser and was VERY HONEST with them and my primary care DR.
Avatar m tn I am following other people here suggest on Taper schedule, good so far. I guess my question is, should I be feeling/experiencing more? Thank You All!!!!
Avatar m tn Is that doable? and If so what tapering schedule would you recommend (like how many mgs should i jump down and how long do i need to hold)? i was going down 2.5 mgs every 2 days to speed it up and have not been in too much discomfort. Is there any advice you can give me on any spcial diet I should be eating, supplements, etc? Thank you for your time Dr. and have a great day! I look forward to your response!
Avatar f tn As someone who came off of a large mg dose of subs c/t I can say that the sooner you get off the better, and definatly call you doctor back and tell him/her you want a taper schedule worked out by your next appt! We can't give taper instrustions on this site but you absolutely can get your doc to give you one. I undertand not wanting to go through w/d but I will tell you, if you don't taper you will have w/d.
480035 tn?1222366164 Do you have enough pills to taper? If you do contact avisg and ask her to set up a taper schedule. You can do this. Don't lose hope. Are there other sub doctors that you can call?
Avatar m tn we will encourage you, support you and be here through your taper. you can do this. wanting to gain control of your life once again is one of the first steps towards your recovery.
621725 tn?1226586266 Try to get down to taking 1 mg pieces then switch to the liquid taper method. Just look it up on your favorite search engine. The liquid suboxone taper.
1253584 tn?1332877954 For the past 2 years I've been on methadone and I tapered down to 20 mgs and then switched to suboxone last Friday. For the past 6 days I've been on 12 mg of suboxone and I want to taper off slowly but don't know how slow. Does anyone have ne advice?
Avatar m tn You're already on methadone and you really can't begin SUBOXONE until you're down to at least 30mg per day of methadone; last I knew. When you see the doctor tomorrow, tell him you prefer to taper the methadone...if that's what you truly want. But as I said, you need to taper down to 30 mg anyway and that's well documented.
Avatar m tn i been taking suboxone 8mgs for almost 2 weeks and i just wanted to take it to get off of herion and now i want to stop the suboxone .
198154 tn?1337787265 Who is the expert taper schedule maker around here? I really need some help with "good" taper schedule. Thanx in advance!
426217 tn?1249005416 I started my 4th week of Suboxone and I also started a tapering off schedule! THANK YOU AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed 2 new things though..... 1. i keep having "body spasms" when falling asleep mainly, but I sometimes get them while I am sleeping and it wakes me up. Almost seizure like. Any suggestions? 2. Also, I think Suboxone messes with hormones (not sure) but my sex drive is like non-existent!!!! I am usually like a bunny...
372880 tn?1332879487 I am considering a suboxone taper. I am looking for anyone who successfully used suboxone. I’m looking for a relatively quick taper NO MAINTENCE. Any thoughts are appreciated. I do wk in a stressful environment full time and have a three year old inpt is not an option nor is not wkin.
Avatar m tn He may be able to get you on a tapering schedule and help you throughout the process. You hould consider Suboxone. For me it was great, it helped me through it immensely. I felt bad for about a day but once the suboxone kicked in it made me feel so much better, virtually took away all my withdrawals. Im not suggesting switching to suboxone for maintenance, im suggesting using the suboxone just to help you come off oxys quicker than using the taper method and with very little withdrawals.
Avatar f tn Taper is right tramadol has differnet withdrawal symptoms including siezures so be careful. Be honest with your doctor and ask him to give you a taper schedule and he may also be able to give you other meds to help besides suboxone. Get OTC meds for any flu like symptoms and take vitamins and drink a lot of water. You can do it without the subs you have only been using them for a short time.
Avatar m tn I really suggest that you speak with your doctor and get on a proper taper schedule. that was a huge jump and if the withdrawal kicks in, it will kick in hard. At least if you taper it won't hit you all at once. I hate to see that you come this far and not make it, know what I mean? So since you did come this far and you are feeling good, get off them the right way. You don't want any stumbling blocks in your path.
Avatar m tn 5 hrs so it takes a long time for it to get out of you system wich make withdrawls longer, although while their longer on suboxone if you taper the suboxone low enough the WDs are very manageable but you have to be patient. now if you just taper off of your d.o.c.
