Suboxone side effects subutex

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone side effects subutex

suboxone

Avatar n tn That sounds more like an allergic reaction than side effects!!! Generally people that have issues with suboxone do much better on subutex, but what you went thru doesn't sound like typical side effects. Hopefully you'll have a better reaction to the subutex!
Avatar m tn SUBOXONE--- HAS anyone that has been on Suboxone ever had the side effect of uncontrollable ITCHING? Scratch till your raw? Or any other side effects that make life more difficult? I was on Suboxone for two years, off for 3 months with opiates, and now on again for a month. The itching started small after a few weeks on Sub But now I scratch everywhere there is hair and just below my knees , my back arms, and high on my butt.
Avatar n tn the naloxone in suboxone is what often causes the headaches....subutex does not have naloxone in it...
Avatar n tn i can't take suboxone, i had terrible terrible side effects from the suboxone, and I wanted to try the subutex. but I'm having a really hard time trying to find a doctor in KY that prescribes subutex. I know there are, but I don't know which ones do, or what to do etc. If anyone has any information that would help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Avatar f tn The toxic waste that is methadone, but most say, besides side effects, suboxone is better, then they say equally harder to come off of! Both the same i think. I still have pain, which methadone blocked better but as far as side effects, despite the pain, i like suboxone better so far! WOULD LOVE SUBUTEX THOUGH. Canada ***** for drugs, I wish they prescribed Xyrem here too, lol! You guys get all the goodies!
Avatar f tn t understand, and we are talking 1 page and a half of side effects of suboxone, vs. 1 small paragraph of Bupe alone, subutex. It is not here in Canada, We have a patch that lasts for 7 days with only bupenorphine in it! Very expensive! I actually find the side effects are more tolerable, still they are there! Nonetheless, as said, it beats the brutal, unbearing side effects, of toxic waste = METHADONE! and by the way I am no junkie.
Avatar m tn That is exactly the kind of info Im looking for, if suboxone causes any added side effects that subutex may not. I also know that subutex has an added mg option where as suboxone only has 8mg and 2mg tabs.
Avatar n tn T from dry skin Then I would try replacing Suboxone with Subutex-- as in my experience, side effects are more common from the naloxone than from the buprenorphine. The effect of Subutex is exactly the same as Suboxone when you take them properly. If that doesn't solve the problem, you are left deciding whether it is practical to take a daily antihistamine to reduce the itching, along with the Subutex or Suboxone... or to taper off buprenorphine and go the 'totally clean' route.
Avatar f tn I was recently put on suboxone strips and having bad side effects with them! I have been on suboxone pills before and they helped, no side effects! I read that the films are 30% stronger?could that be a reason? Also, I got scared/tired of the side effects and got my percocet prescription filled and now worried that I might get in trouble? But I have also read that a person can get suboxones filled and their pain meds filled, is this true?
Avatar f tn You, or your body rather is having a severe bad reaction to the drug subutex. All the side effects you mentions and the drugs bad reaction side affects and especially the pain you mentioned in your head\face are severe side affects that say if you have them to contact a doctor immediately. It scares me for you because something really bad could happen to you if you continue this particular drug. You can't, it could be fatal. Is there any way you could go back to the suboxone?
Avatar n tn the only difference with suboxone and subutex is that suboxone has a added ingredient that makes for a less potential of abuse, and overdose. suboxone is safer and a better choice i believe.
5023383 tn?1362471442 Nearly died in a bad car wreck 7 years ago. Been on Subutex for chronic pain control since I went to rehab to beat a Fentanyl/Roxycodone/Oxycontin addiction in July 2009., For anyone who has wondered about this, it really works well. The thing about it is that for people like us who are used to getting all those lovely opiate side effects, you don't get those with Subutex (there's a mild euphoria when you take the pill under your tongue, but that passes within a half hour).
Avatar f tn I just started taking suboxone 3 days ago. I am having side-effects. These side-effects are listed in the info I got with my prescription, but it says to notify my doc immediately. The problem is I do not want him to take me off of them. This is the first time in years I have went 3 days w/out pain pills (hydrocodone, oxycodone). So I guess I'm just wondering if anybody out there has had similar side-effects.
Avatar n tn My family physician wrote a note about having contributable complaints on suboxone and that I have taken subutex in the past without side effects and he hopes my addiction doc will consider making the change to subutex. I figured the note would go a long way cause Im really wanting to get better and enjoy my treatment, instead of being and feeling like Im in literal hell. I really want to have a normal lifestyle.
Avatar m tn However headaches have been well documented as a common side effect during the initial phase of suboxone/subutex treatment. You will have to either ride it out or consider a careful transition back onto a methadone dose. The chances of getting relief from a methadone dose or any other opiate/opioid while there is still a substantial subutex dose in your system is slim to none. It may take several days from your last subutex dose before you feel any relief.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the reply, its hard finding a subutex Dr. Suboxone caused me severe depression an really don't wana go bak to it. I got an app for Thurs morn right down the road from me, my friend goes there an said he does subutex but she gets suboxone so we'll see.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried Requip for Restless Legs while trying to detox off of Subutex or Suboxone? This is the worst part for me in trying to get off of Subutex & I am literally scared sh**less of them. I had them so bad that I almost over-dosed on Klonopin & Somas (from a family member) to rid myself of them. I am on less than 1 mg of Subutex a day now & having anxiety & diarrhea. That I can handle, but the RLS I can not. Any advice or experience would be great!
Avatar m tn Ditto, with one comment.... the perception is that it is easier to abuse, but in reality the difference is minimal. Most people who abuse Suboxone or Subutex don't inject it; they use it orally, where the two medications have identical effects and risk profiles. Subutex is, for some reason, significantly more expensive-- so many insurers balk at paying for it.
Avatar m tn Since posting here i have just gone and looked up Sertraline. It seems the side effects of that are very similar to withdrawal symptoms? Like i said i was getting symptoms before i started the Sertraline. In hindsight though it does seem to have gotten worse. Just let me add, when i went to my doctor it was more for my physical symptoms than mental ones. I have always suffered from Insomnia, probably due to my long term drug use, and have learned to cope with it.
Avatar n tn You really should not have went into w/d from methadone when switching to subutex unless its suboxone not subutex. Subutex dont have blockers in them like subxone does. Subutex and methadone are a lot alike so why is he using that to get you off methadone. Tell me more. Taking roxi and subutex should not put you into w/d's. How much subutex did he give you per day? The white one right not orange....
1476285 tn?1287337784 Were they able to sustaing their normal doses (I take a fairly small dose less then 1/2 per day) but i wanted to know if anyone had problems or bad side effects or if the suboxone created problems for their treatment.Even moreso I was curious if anyone was denied treatment on telaprevir until they stopped taking suboxone. Thanx for all your help 1.5 days until I start treatment......(but who's counting!
Avatar f tn t even take suboxone without throwing up and feeling sick bc of the Orange taste. the subutex worked better for me, less side effects & the taste was much easier to handle. as for effects on baby, I had to find a high risk doctor that has delt with patients onthis memedication and he is very reassuring. I was freaking out in the beginning but they told me it's more common than I think & that I will most likely have a healthy normal pregnancy as long as I STAY ON IT thru.
Avatar m tn Actually that does happen to some people on sub. When I was on higher doses of sub it happened to me as well as some others I've spoken with. I wouldn't call it a 'normal' side effect but due to the fact that sub is such a new med they really don't have an accurate idea of side effects yet. But I believe it's a side effect of opiate use in general but we notice it more on the sub cuz we're not nodding out all the time.
Avatar n tn OK I cant find edema listed anywhere that is concerning plz call your doctor NOW This is the list I can find The safety of SUBOXONE has been evaluated in 497 opioid-dependent subjects. The prospective evaluation of SUBOXONE was supported by clinical trials using SUBUTEX (buprenorphine tablets without naloxone) and other trials using buprenorphine sublingual solutions.
