Suboxone schedule

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone schedule

suboxone

I need advice on a Suboxone Taper Schedule As some of you may remember, I tried Suboxone about a year ago, they made me throw up so much, I stopped taking after 3 days. Well, I totally forgot about those pills, and while moving some items around, I found my bottle on the bottom of one of my baskets. This started me really thinking -- I'd like to try this again, but I wanted to not be sick.
and YOU WILL HAVE NO WITHDRAWAL PROBLEMS COMING OFF THE SUBOXONE. The doctors licensed to write scripts for Suboxone make a lot of money keeping people on this stuff for months and even years. It's just a big rip-off! They know you will be fine after 7 days, but they want you to keep coming back for more... YOU DON'T NEED IT! I should know what I'm saying here--I've done this thing many, many times. I'm now free of all opiates (lost a lot of weight, working out, etc.
My question is should I be put on a weening schedule or put on suboxone. I have read alot of negative stuff about suboxone. I don't know what to do please help.
I am following other people here suggest on Taper schedule, good so far. I guess my question is, should I be feeling/experiencing more? Thank You All!!!!
Morphine, oxycodone, methadone, demarol, adderol, are schedule 2. Meaning schedule 2 is described as being more addictive. You take Suboxone by placing a dissolving Tablet under your tongue. It is meant to be prescribed for long or short term opitate dependancy treatment. Some patients have been on it for years. Suboxone takes away the cravings of wanting to take some kind of a pain narcotic. It releives anxiety associated with cravings. It does have some side effects also. P.S.
Ive been off suboxone for 13 days. Ive only slept a total of 8 hours all during the daytime. Im not sure why I cant sleep at night. I was on suboxone for about 4 years straight and would sleep like a baby. Ive had trouble sleeping ever since I deployed to Iraq. Heroin and the drugs I was taking helped with that. But being clean seems impossible to sleep. Is it the WDs from suboxone or is it the PTSD?
Dear Dr., I am taking Suboxone for addiction to Lortab. My Dr. Started me off on 24mg and now I am down to 2 to 4 mg. I have tried to stop taking and wein myself off of the low dose I am on but I keep getting whacked by w/d symptoms. Is there a schedule that I can use that will help me go from 4 mg's to 0 mg's without going through the symptoms. I tried a few weeks ago and it was a VERY difficult 4 days!!!!
She is just a toddler, but I want to be around when she's 20. I am starting Suboxone therapy on Monday. Not looking forward to this weekend. I just wanted to know how quickly after my initial dose will I start feeling better because of a crazy schedule at work including some public appearances. I just don't want to feel horrible...Thanks for reading and replying.
i called a dr. yesterday that was listed on the suboxone website. he told me i had to taper down to 100 something mgs from 400-500 mgs of oxy before he can see me, I can wait anymore i want off this stuff.
My question is IF I can stay on the Suboxone how long should I be on it before I can wean myself off of the suboxone and be drug free ???
Rapid detox from suboxone. there no question about it.people say everybody is different nothing could more true. but opiates effect everyone exactly the same way, every know someone to stop taking them after long term use and just walk away feeling great no way!!! so when it comes to opiates.and stopping the use of them we are all the same. just go to a detox program with 50 different people who are different in every way.
Welcome, If you want to do this correctly I need to suggest that you see a doctor, discuss your options and, if you choose Suboxone then do it correctly. Suboxone is NOT a means to avoid withdrawal. It is a complete program. If you follow the program correctly you can have success with your recovery. But I have to tell you, if you continue to self-medicate, you risk relapse. So what I am saying is if you are going to do this, do it right. I hope you consider seeing a doctor.
I am currently on my fourth week with suboxone. I am taking two 8mgs twice daily. Suboxone is the closest thing to miracle for opiate addictions. For the past two years I have been taking oxy's and Heroin everyday. The withdrawals were terrible, after several attempts at trying to use methods to quit at home Ive given up. I have used up every medical clinic and urgent care in southern Wisconsin, i decided to let the parents know and go for treatment.
i have already distanced myself from the persons i can get them so now i am trying to ween down and then use suboxone to quit. i am lucky to have never been arrested or losing my money or job. in fact the bad part is i seem to make more money when im high on pills. my sex drive is nonexistent and i am totally controlled by this drug. i did 5 yesterday which for me is a step in the right direction, have 3 left for today and plan on taking a 8mg subox in the am and see what happens.
My PCP knows about my past, but was still prescribing me schedule II pain meds. I know, my fault!!. No preaching please... I finally called my Sub Dr. last Monday, which was my first day not taking a Vicoprophens (sp?). I told him that I only wanted to take Suboxone for 5-7 days, just to get me past the worst of the withdrawal, but of course he said we'll get you off in 6 weeks.$$$ I got 30 Subs filled on Monday and have taken only 1-8mg tablet each day since then.
i received some suboxone from a friend ive been on this board before but i have been abusing oxycontin for about a year around 80-120 mg a day. i had to stop but im afraid of the withdrawal which ive been through before that is the only reason i take again and its a vicious cycle. so today after 24 hours of no opiates and the withdrawals getting more intense i took 4mg of suboxone i'll post later to let ya know how it helped.
When I first came out here in August of 2007, suboxone was a lot of talk. I now see so many turning to it , but I'm not hearing a lot of feedback on it's success. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has a success story, rather than a horror story about suboxone. Not from people currently on it, but anyone who successfully took it and has been off it for some time. Thanks. Nauty...............
i broke my contract with my pain doctor, and the solutions are either getting methadone or suboxone. i was scheduled for knee surgery today but i was in bad withdrawal from the 100mcg patches that the anesthesiologist wanted to re-schedule the surgery. i have tried methadone clinics-which are not really for pain management- and it is pretty much like being around a bunch of drug seeking people-unless you can afford the private clinic.
I have been taking around 3-5 roxicodone 30mgs a day, which is about 90-150mgs, and i want to know what would be a good tapering method? I cant get suboxone or methadone. Also Roxies are the same as OCs just they are not time released.
How long is it recomended to taper off of 16 mg's of SUB a day? and what is the schedule? recomended time? dose reduction to taper down per week? month?
One of my drug dealers is legal, with many degrees... the other .......... Is there a set schedule to stop taking suboxone? How can there be? Just because it may work that way for some... it WILL NOT work that way for ALL. And as long as there is money to be made (legally) off of those of us who have opiate addiction problems...... I would favor the opinions of "us" over "them"...... depending on the person, I guess anywhere from a month to..........................
I am currently taking only 2mgs per day. MY surgery is in 3 weeks. Any advice on a taper schedule would be great. Thanks in advance.
Does anyone out there know of a taper schedule for hydrocodone? Something that is slow and works that others will not really notice the person is going through? I have found a taper schedule for benzodiazapines at http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/bzcha01.htm but have never found anything other than the Thomas Recipe which is for going cold turkey off of the Vicodin. Any info would be appreciated.
you dont want methadone and you shouldnt need suboxone...'your on a fairly low dose, i am not one that usually gives out taper schedules...but you can try dropping 5 mgs off your dose every week so it will be a comfortable taper plan.., go slow with it if you have the time and you should do fine... maybe someone else will jump in with some advice.... good luck to you...
Can anyone give me a successful suboxone taper chart or schedule? I've been on 32mg but i've cut myself down to 24mg a day. Tomorrow i am going to jump down to 16mg. I would like to make myself a schedule to successfully get off sub. I am ready to. I don't want to use anymore and i'm ready to feel normal without anything. i've been doing very well so far. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You should really stick to a consistent schedule. What dose are you on? It's not abnormal to feel some mild w/d like symptoms in the first week or two, while the body adjusts.
Without knowing how long you were using and exactly how much and of what you were using, its kind of difficult to give you a straight answer. I have personally not ever seen a Suboxone taper schedule that lasted only 10days. The shortest schedule I have seen was for 30days and that was for a motorcycle accident victim that ended up with a BKA(below knee amputation) that had been on Hydrocodone 10mg/every day/3 times a day/for about one year.
What used to seem fun and easy was a busy schedule. When you are on Suboxone or rather any mind altering substances, life and a busy schedule is not really fun anymore, at least not after a little while. Obviously it is in the beginning or we would not have coped with them in the first place. I never tried Suboxone because I wanted to make my recovery as difficult as possible. As far as the abusive relationship you do need therapy and it should be a priority over everything else.
I have been on 8mg of Suboxone for 2 years and opiates for at least 2 years before that. Long story - but a back surgery that went wrong....I am ready to begin a tapering schedule and need to confirm a safe way to do this. The primary reason is I WANT MY SEX DRIVE BACK, and I am ready to live without this anvil over my head. I have read that dropping 1mg every 14 days is a safe way to land. Can anyone please confirm or point me in another taper schedule to consider? PS...
